We appear in the velvet room and see Teddie is there with us and no Igor or Margret!
We are both kind of bewildered on why we are both there. Teddie has been thinking about what he is and has found out that he was really just a Shadow which gained human emotions and wanted them to like him so made himself forget he was a shadow and decides to change into Teddie himself...
He seems pretty crushed that he was no one to begin with and that he will likely become a shadow again....
I try to convince him to stay but he thinks he doesn't belong there...He disappears and Igor and Margaret appear again...
Igor tells us that our path has started moving again and with that so does the Velvet room start moving to its destination again.
The next day we try to find Teddie again but can't. We have no choice but to go into the TV without him. Whoa! The fog is much worse now and even our glasses don't seem to work! This is worrying... What is this fog!
Rise senses Adachi straight away but she can't seem to pinpoint him no matter how hard she tries...
Funny how maxing Teddie's social link grants you the power to fuse Helel, the Light-BEARer.
Daniel Weddell Even in Social Links, Teddie is the master of bear puns.
You know, I've been thinking: if the TV world is world shaped by human thoughts, then someone WANTED Teddie to exist. Teddie just didn't know who.
Now.
Who is the person who interacted with Teddie, knows Teddie and loves Teddie the most since their meeting?
:3
So your saying teddie is nanakos imaginary friend?
@@mikeockhurts904 It makes sense. Teddie is a bear with a circus suit, so he was probably shaped out of a kids' thoughts and imagination.
WHY DOES THE FUNNY LITTLE BEAR MAKE ME HAVE SO MANY FEELS ;_;
Teddie>Morgana
Man I can't stress how much I love teddie more than morgana
Honestly this scene alone can prove my point
Oh dear lord, I am crying now, just from Teddie's words... ;u;
When he said "One day, when you meet Nana-chan in heaven... Apologize for me."
I completely lost it, I'm crying at everything now. Come here Teddie, gimme a big bear hug and smile again! QuQ
When I saw this, I thought "if Teddie is a shadow, I'd say he'd HAVE to be Nanako's. That's why he is different from all the others."
And why he’s connected to her.
Damn...u made a theory that legitimately makes sense and can work
Matpat would be jealous
@@Silent_Mochi next up on game theory : teddie is lucifer
That does makes sense their is some connection with them
And Nanako probably does not like she has qualities of immaturity and still coming to gripes with the world and naturally craving attention is not out of the picture.
-Basically as Nanako is developing her own viewpoint of herself and the world so is Teddie
The only hole in this argument is Nanako is the Justice arcana while Teddie is the Hope arcana. But you could argue Teddie grew a sense of self so his Arcana is no longer reflected of the person he is attached to.
I like Teddie. He's so kind-hearted. Although he can be a little creepy sometimes. XD
It was obvious from the get-go that Teddy was a shadow. But what I figured, if shadows were the suppressed emotions of humans given sentience, then more than likely, Teddy was created from the positive feelings someone with a dark heart was probably trying to suppress.
It makes sense, all the shadows are were suppressed feelings wanting to be excepted, usually shown to be the inner core or represent the opposite of what humans show to people. So wouldn't it make sense that someone how had natural dark intentions who tried to suppress their conscious, thus giving form to Teddy?
Maybe teddie is adachi's shadow
corvusification Actually, since we never saw Adachi's actual shadow, and we've seen shadows that want more positive things than their hosts do, that makes a lot of sense.
Someone who didn't want people to see his positive feelings... Hmm... Are you sure it has to be exclusively a person with dark intentions?
@@corvusificationAdachi has a persona which cannot happens if he has a shadow
like, favourite... Add to Playlist?
Wheres the "Hug the adorable bear button"?
Teddie was blabbering all this sad and depressing stuff and all I was saying the whole time was
"Shut up and come on back home you silly old bear!"
Why the heck can't you hug or at least comfort teddie here.
It's because he developed feelings unlike normal shadows.
This part was bear-y sad
This part nearly made me cry ;.; Teddie's existential crisis was pretty touching.
A 'shadow' is really the true personality of someone or even something. As long as that one thing was real and had true, real emotions. They would get a persona as long as it can gain the courage and power to accept their own true self.
Fucking Teddie... **Ugly sobbing** The feels were felt. The feels were definitely felt.
when Teddie disappeared i cried like when the MC of persona 3 died
true and perfect comment, Call me crazy but He maybe the guardian of the "Backside of the TV" So No one cant use the TV for evil *coughAdachicough*
I've watched P4TA first,at it's enterity (even the "TRUE ENDING" episode 26th)..i cried too when Teddie reveals that he's a Shadow, even though Yu (Hero) wasn't in the room and wasnt talking to Teddie till he said "Kuma,Nanako's Alive..." and Teddie just cried "YOKATTAAA-KUMAAA" twice...that's very beautiful...
But i had to see the P4 version and here it is...cant wait for P4G
I CRIED
@BluntmanEXE Agree.I think the same BUT when he acquired a personality of himself AND a persona he become his original being: A human.Is...complicated.
@BaccioDiMaschera It was the same way for me, not just with Teddie, some other characters bugged me as well at first, like Rise. But after completing their social links and misc events you grow to like them a bit more. It's strange how you can feel like you're such good friends with somebody in a game.
well, he is nostalgic when it comes to thr Velvet Room. He could have been Minato's shadow
Currently Sam Riegal plays Teddie, but in the original Persona 4 game, Dave Wittenburg was playing Teddie. He wasn't able to play him anymore due to his contract, either that, or he wasn't able to get there in time to record him, so he had to give up the role as Teddie.
I think that teddie is one of the velvet room residents!! O.O!!
Around this time the game got emotional :(
Labrys is a 5th generation anti-shadow weapon, and uses axes. She is similar to Aigis, but she is a 7th gen. and uses firearms. The way I understand it is that Labrys ends up in the Midnight Channel, but as she already has a Persona, there is no shadow form of her. Instead, some malevolent entity takes her likeness, this happens with the other characters too (Mitsuru, Aigis, Yu, Naoto, Akihiko, etc.) Don't quote me, I don't know for sure.
Actually, Labrys's persona had only partially awakened and not fully manifested. Her shadow is the main antagonist of Persona 4 Arena
Teddie in Persona 4 is Dave Wittenburg. Yuri Lowenthal actually played Pharos, Ryoji and YOSUKE to be more exact.
Wait a second...
Teddie said that he felt nostalgic when he was in the Velvet Room...
THAT'S IT!!!
Maybe, when Minato became the seal, part of his ego turned into a shadow, the other half became a seal.
When the shadow discovered human emotions, he became a human.
Now, he's in the Velvet Room, saying that he feels nostalgic.
Minato was allowed into the Velvet Room, albeit in a different form, but still
Could Teddie be Minato?
no, he isnt
I don't know
the MC didnt have any shadow to fight right? maybe he is MC's shadow.
They still shoot themselves in the head, just it's not fatal...And it was a joke. I actually know all of that.
MY BOY JUST NEEDS A HUG
He's so cuteee
The moment I saw this happen, he fades away to be replaced with Igor…. For the first time I had absolutely zero care what “The Nose” had to say. I just kept repeating (much to the amusement of my friend watching on discord) “Where’s my bear? Give him back you geriatric Pinocchio! He’s our mistake so give him back!”
I never expected to care so much for that little thing…. And yet….
Morgana could be a shadow, I'll find out later.
I'll face myself (not the boss battle version)
FINALLY!, teddie is igor pet.
Case closed.
Teddie somehow remembered me of Vivi from Final Fantasy IX ):
vivi is silent...but teddie is idiot...lol
aww, poor teddie -_-
Evokers are not real guns, just made to look like them. It has been stated that to summon a Persona in the regular world, stress and self-preservation are prerequisites, hence the gun shape. It is known that the Dark Hour is just an alteration of the normal world, but the Midnight Channel is its own. Therefore, in the Channel, Personas are more easily summoned. Speculation exists that Personas and shadows belong in the channel, and the dark hour was an exception to the rule. See the SMT wiki.
Still i don't understand why people hate teddie.
anyone saw this clip after viewing managakamen video on matpat video on persona 4
@RomHunterBlueSilver
no i'm sorry
i didnt read the title
I read the reason for the gun shape, was to prove their spirit, as in to try and shoot yourself with a gun, even if it ISN'T a gun, take courage and conviction. I mean think about it, how much Courage would it take to press a gun to your head and shoot! Your first instinct would be "get that D@#$ thing away from me!!!"
I know it is kinda weird to respond to a 4 month old comment but I felt I had to say this. Igor was talking about how the shadow who is Teddie gained emotions and returned back to the stream of life. The stones on the bottom of the river could be said to be shadows. The ones moving would be humans.
Also, it dosen't really matter who Teddie was a shadow of as he likely is very different than the person who he was a fragment of.
You would need to at least be a Badass, if not a Genius, Charismatic Badass. :)
Teddie revealing that he was a shadow that changed itself to be liked by humans is some of the most stupid and nonsensical writing I have experienced in a video game.
Yeah but it would be a huge plot twist right?
I thought Teddie was voice by Sam Riegel?
He was in Golden, but not in the original
ITS IKUTSKI-SAN.
IGOR IS FROM THE GUY FROM PERSONA 3!
wow... im dumb xD
>.> I'm STILL confused about Labrys in general..lol,I mean...what exactly is it going on with her?I'm completely lost XD...
I have a love hate relationship with teddie :’)
I still don't get what exactly did Teddie (Kuma) done to revive Nanako.
Me either
People say Teddie is Nanako’s shadow since his mood swing here happen in unison with her coma
They have a deep connection with each other
and Teddie is a little different then the rest embodying emptyness that grows out of nothing
-probably because he belongs to a child still developing their personality traits
@MistaBubblingBlue niiiiiiice
god dammit why arent ther any hug teddie button ?!
What's the name of the song at 1:19?
Oh god, this comment is 8 years old :/
It’s called ‘I’ll face myself’
@SoraKairiRiku4eva Oh well, at least I tried. Cool name, btw. Kingdom Hearts 2 is a pretty cool game. :D
i don't know much about P3,eventhough i played the game, but it seems like Igor seems interested more to Seta...correct me if i'm wrong..
whos seta?
Seta?
whene does teddie pop out anyway???
What song is playing in the background
It's Sound like a remix of never more
persona persona persona persona
SOCIAL LINKS SOCIAL LINKS SOCIAL LINKS SOCIAL LINKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So why did you meet Teddie in the Velvet Room? It is supposed to be a "safe-zone" where the protagonist can draw on different personas (idols, entities) to fight life's hardship and social concepts.
The Velvet room is probably the stand in for the subconscious in Jungian psychology
It translates your unconsciousness to your consciousness just like a guide
So a place that exist between mind and matter
Teddie fell out of the matter world back towards the mind world so he would be in the in between I assume
@rumahirfan hahaha im sorry
Persona 4 golden had a better dub.
teddie annoyijg😐
Teddie, I like you and all, but get out of the velvet room, you changed its music. Also, the velvet room is very nostalgic for anyone that has played Persona 3.
