Zombie Killing Machine: Ruger LC Carbine in .45 acpJanuary of 2024 Shot Show, Ruger Firearms unveiled their brand new bad-boy LC Carbine in the manly zombie stopping .45 acp. Previously the LC Carbine was chambered in the 5.7X28 mm round for those who needed a faster and small round.Ruger sent me their .45 acp LC Carbine for test and evaluation (T&E) by a law enforcement officer who has served in three continents. I also wrote 22 years for various industry magazine about firearms and cutting tools or knives. As the magazines about this industry has faded to almost extinction, I decided to show, test, explain, and recommend products from the view point of my professional career. So, I took to the Internet first with my Warriors and Sheepdogs site, then TH-cam shortly thereafter for five years. Soon Warriors and Sheepdogs will be solely TH-cam. To keep the website active, it was just not fiscally feasible.Grigley, Steve, and I tested the Ruger LC Carbine in .45 acp. The .45 acp round is my favorite round to carry as an Oklahoma peace officer. In our testing of the LC Carbine we fired 150 rounds of .45 acp. The ammo used was Hornady and Winchester. Both are World class excellent products. Both ammo companies have stepped up to provide technologic innovations in bullet design and performance. We did shoot .45 acp 230 gr. “ball” ammo in the LC Carbine from my private stock. However, most of the ammo tested was Hornady and Winchester. The Ruger LC Carbine was pulled from the box and pressed into service at the Oklahoma City Gun Club. Our targets were on the plinking range of this 600-acre gun club. Metal targets were in the plenty as there were shooters. In the video you will hear some serious metal pounding. Right out of the box the LC Carbine, as you will see in the video, shot everything we could shove into its chamber. This rifle was flawless.
