Fender's Player Plus Tele, beginning with the 75th anniversary MIM, is a really good guitar. I picked one up "barely" used for $500. Possibly my best deal ever made.
Hej Corey, I'm 80 years old, I live off my rather small pension so I bought a T3 Larry Carlton Tele instead of a T7 . No roasted neck, no locking tuners but what a Terrific guitar. I 've got some of your courses from True fire and watch you on TH-cam sometimes. You seem like a good guy, have a great day.
Corey, - as I look and listen to the numerous videos on guitar/bass reviews, I can tell U that the instruments that sound good and decent are played by superior musicians like yourself. I just got thru listening to a similarly talented colleague of yours comparing the cheapest Tele right up to a relic'd Custom Shop model. And they all sounded good! I've been playing and gigging for over 50 years and to me, it always be the player that "makes" the instrument. And U know what? I can guarantee U that if any guitar or bass is decently and properly set up, the audience won't care or know what it was made of and by who. That being said, your presentation was well done and I appreciate the gesture towards your dad. Best of luck in all your future endeavors.
The Fender Player Plus is an amazing Telecaster: locking tuners, rolled fret edges, push'/pull switch to play both pickups in series, raised string tree. The bridge plate isn't ash tray and the bridge is flat, not the brass compensated which is great is you like to sweep pick. I've seen people say it's the Mexican version of an American Ultra - Fender's "modern" takw on their guitar - and with noiseless pickups as well, I'd have to agre.
Yeah I'd agree. The Tele is great and exactly as you say, like a Mexican Ultra. I have the Player Plus Strat as well and it's a nice guitar. Having said that... Player Plus is even more expensive than just the Player, so competes even worse with the Sire S7 and T7 in my opinion.
Got this exact guitar from Thomann for about $500 + shipping. Absolutely phenomenal value. Plays like a dream, no setup required. I've got smaller hands, so the rolled edges were a big selling point. The neck profile is extremely comfortable. The pickups sound fantastic, but I'm more into blues and rock. Stays in tune forever. And, yeah, looks sexy AF.
I hear you I just got my 7 and at only $547.00 !!!! I am amazed at the quality and the FRET WORK is the best a have seen... I love this guitar .. But you know there are those who have to pay 4-5 times the price becasue it has the USA made on it.. GREAT GUITAR
Right you are! It makes me wonder why I could easily play all the same riffs on my own guitars, but the sound and impact would be so much lamer! Argh! But you are right that Corey is such an excellent guitarist that it makes it difficult to figure out what the same axe would do in less skilled hands!
After watching this, I did what suffices as due-diligence on the T7. All signs were good. Narrowed down my color choice and checked SW... not available. Talked to my SE, estimated August before getting them in. Checked Sire's site, found one I liked and ordered it. Received it last Friday and no disappointment noted. It was even in tune when I got it!
My 2 guitars are Fenders, a tele and a strat, got them over a decade ago and made pickups, tuners, and bridge upgrades. If I were to buy today, I’d probably get Sire instead since they come with those things standard. So much more value
Just came back from Korea (I live in AU) and bought a S7 in Seoul. The guy at the store took it down to 720,000 won, including a semi rigid bag. The guitar feels and sounds really nice. I also tried the T7 and these guitars are def worth the money.
My friend has one and the bridge pickup really stands out. I have had a few Tele’s and the Sire plays way better than the price point. Great value for sure.
Thx Sweetwater not only from Corey, but from many of us in youtube world that hasn't had a chance to see this guitar yet! It's great that you offer to "Sponsor" this video and to other youtubers that aren't gigantic in subscribers, yet offer everything more popular ones do! I respect that and therefore you gain a customer in me now the next time I need a purchase, I will buy from you! One hand wases the other and since you give back.....I think others that teeter on whether to buy from online....this is a comforting thing. Great marketing too! :)
It's simply a joy to watch you play and listen to! Regardless, what "axe" you pick up, they sound good in your hands and through those amps you play.. Amazing to see how snappy that little modelling thing responded to the Tele. and not muddy its typical twang. That speaks highly of its engineers in that they must've focussed on impulse response, especially with that very convincing break up that had zero shred of "sterility" to it. Maybe do a video dedicated to that little box, too? And great going from the Sweetwater people. It helped to mitigate some of the far less positive experiences other customers report about them. Thanks a bunch!
I came here after hearing the edited short clip where I thought for a minute, " what the hell, is this a clip of the original badass Tele spanker, Roy Nichols back from beyond to give us a master course on aggressive Bakersfield style chicken pickin'", but no, it was not. But it was still hella- great! Nice licks and tone. I did not realize you had such stylistic versatility and authenticity
For the past few years anything I’ve purchased has been in the “grand-ish or less” category. So far nothing has been a disappointment. (Open case deal on a Bonamassa SG from GC, copped a DGT SE off reverb and most recently, and by far the cheapest, a Squire Paranormal Nashville strat. They all needed some truss rod and intonation tweaking, which of course is normal but, I wouldn’t hesitate to take any of them to gig. ) Also, the stress compared to say hauling a vintage piece or some high dollar R8 out to a bar is WAY less. As always, great playing and solid data Corey! Thanks.
We have the SE DGT and the Nashville Strat in common; though the SE DGT's pickup wiring does not support wiring mods (because each pickup's shield is not separate from its ground and there is only a tap wire for three total wires per pickup), the Nashville Strat is a great candidate for a Free Way 5B5-01 ten-position blade switch. I plan to install one along with rewiring its push-pull pot to switch position six's function (switching from Scheme No. B002 to Scheme No. B004) for eight additional tonal options; of course, the neck pickup's cover will need to be wired separately from its ground if it is not wired that way stock.
Thank you for making such a great review and demo of the Sire T7. You can really make this guitar sing! I'm loving the style and riffs you're playing starting around 1:32 , what kind of style/genre is this?
Nice to see the original Mr. Congillio Corey 😃I like the gloss fretboard, it's so glassy for bends & vibrato. The back of the neck is non gloss, so I don't get my hand sticking.
I’ve heard many good things about those Sire T-Style guitars. I’ve yet to try one, but your demo is on point and many people will find it valuable. Thanks
Michael Kelly makes tremendous guitars. I have several of their T style guitars and in my opinion, they blow away everything that is even reasonably close in price. They are an overlooked company.
2:44 ....and I'm not talking about the roasted maple neck. This feature that I didn't catch being talked about, is why I would buy this Sire over a fender tele. Freeze frame right at the timestamp, and note the mild taper at the neck inset, Fender should have done this to teles and strats 50 years ago.
I was going to buy an Sire S7 but, like you mentioned, I don't like the glossy fretboard and neck finish either. Also some Sire guitars are not made with NC equipment.
Theres some really good mid priced T style guitars around nowadays. I hemmed and hawed for over a year before settling on my first LTD. Payed $889 for an '87 Eclipse NT in pearl white. When the TE1000 Black Blast hit the market, I was primed to get my first classic construction tele. Now I'm spoiled and rarely even look at other T styled objects. Did some mods to them like the aforementioned treble bleed curcuits, and upgraded the pots and tone caps. Certainly not your fathers Tele's. Mine are more metal machines with options.
I love the roasted maple neck and headstock. They look very luxurious. The dot inlays look like they're abalone too. The flat white paint with the dark tortoiseshell pickguard also look really cool. I have to admit sir guitars look better than fenders. 😂
Thanks, Corey. You make the guitar sound great! Have you ever taken 0000 steel wool to a glossy finish? I used that process on my SE Custom and am no longer bothered by the stickiness it had before.
This guy can make any guitar sound great. I've heard that there are quality control issues with some of these Sire guitars. I've heard/seen the same complaint with Squiers. Maybe that's to be expected with less expensive guitars that are produced on the belt.
I have an Oscar Schmidt brand Tele copy (Washburn). All it needed was better tuning machines. If you bump into one, buy it on the spot. Nice review of the Sire btw.
I truly do not think at this price point there is a better, or well made guitar...be it a T or S shape. Sire's 7 series offer roasted maple necks and fretboards with rolled fret edges, locking tuners, and bone nuts for under $700 !
Hey bRos, i have a Sire LC S7 in flamed maple blue lacquer n let me tell ya! it is the best guitar i have played thru in 3 decades i have way more expensive guitars such as Ibanez Prestige Sabre, but this one has all the tones i ever dreamed of ...not looking anymore to other guitars so far 🤓to fix out the glossy maple fretboard (that i was not happy with at first) i stepped in sanding with 000 steelwool + a special polishing pad ...now it's now a true 💎 it was a good decision 🎖(i was a bit afraid) i have also upgraded the tuners for the same type of locking tuners but in Black Chrome from Gotoh + the Trem with a Gotoh Wilkinson licensed one in Honed Black (looks more modern n classy) ...the guitar has so much improved n looks 🔥💣🔥 i have setup as well a treble bleed with a very particular Caps value that gives me a very stylish tone when slightly rolled back, N last but not least, i have installed a 3 strings retainer (nickel finish) on the head (from StewMac) n upgraded both Tone Caps with Cornell/Dubier polyfilm ones, in 0.33µNf for Neck PU to get a less dark tone with a lil' more top-end & 0.47µNf on the bridge PU (same that stock one) i have also apply some amazing Carnauba wax on the back of the neck n a lil' bit on the back n top to enhance the color n the overall feeling ........it's a dream i feel like i get a +3/4K$ guitar from Suhr 🤩 N i got for this beauty a yellow/brown Tweed finish hardcase for Strat all this for ~840 bucks //// to me the best part of this guitar is the raosted maple neck that has a shape that feels unique under the fingers + a very resonant tone
I'm not a pro, snd I already have enough guitars, like, maybe 9. I don't have room for more. But one in, one or two out, that's my philosophy. Sire S3 is on my list, the most affordable of the Sire guitars. I prefer the SSS setup.
Your dad's T7 neck looks like a lighter brown than those I've seen in shops, it looks killer! Nice demo but I went for the S7 Vintage in black, so can't really justify that purchase... yet...
I tried the Sire T3 and the only good thing is the finish of the fret edge and the rolled fingerboard. The pickups aren't great and the mahogany body shouldn't help. The headstock is ugly...but maybe the T7 has better pickups and an alder body that makes it sound like a good telecaster.
You g&l guys.... I just dont get it. To me the feel like the guitars you find in pawn shops that no one wants... Can you explain why you think its the best?
@@BobbyCulpepper.srv3fender I've probably played dozens and dozens of Fenders. From the bottom of the line squier affinity, to the Fender Player series, to the Custom shop stuff. The best Fenders I've played were around the $2,000 mark or better. Meanwhile, I bought a G&L ASAT tribute (yes the one in my picture) for like $300 plus tax. It plays better than a player series at half the price. Stays in tune better than any guitar I've ever owned, every note up and down the fret board was in perfect intonation and finally the tone!!!! Cranked all the way up it has like this almost compressed quality to it I like. I know some of the metal guys don't like the pickups because they're noisy with distortion. But I play clean 90 % of the time and I can't think of a better clean sound.
@MatthaeusEbonah they are probably better than player series, and even some custom shops, but saying they make the best tele for me is a pretty big stretch, have you tried any other boutique brands?
@@BobbyCulpepper.srv3fender I would say best telie for the price. Like I said for $300 I got a guitar that played, sounded, and frankly looked better than anything I've ever played from fender for under 2 $2K-$3k
I've got the t7 fm and I love it !!! Very versatile guitar. But bro i can't play it like you, give you a broom handle and a piece of string and you'll get a tune out of it. 😊😅
Great sounding guitar! Corey, I wish you would do a lesson of your riffs in this video. You really are a great teacher and I'm grateful to be a subsbriber.
I understand everything is preference. That being said fender necks are straight fire wood. I’ve never tried any fender over 2k range so I guess you can get a custom maybe that has a nice neck… but that’s a joke.
I recently picked up a "very well" used '95 American Standard for $600. After I leveled and dressed the frets...WOW! Deals are out there folks. I ain't dissin Sire; I love my P7 5 string. However, it's no American P bass.
Sounds fantastic. I opted for a F Player Plus Nashville, which also has locking tuners + rolled neck. I wish it was only $641. I do own Sire products and have nothing but praise for them. This demo showcased what a diamond they make, so it is certainly worth checking out and is not ‘less than’ in any way.
First thing I thought when I saw it was, ooooh too glossy on the fretboard. The only glossy fretboard I have like it is my Fender Player Tele. I still haven't gotten around to dressing up the frets on it. Really needs to file and round the fret ends because that thing is dangerous. Literally, I have 140-dollar guitars I've bought from Harley Benton that the fret ends are not sharp as my 800-dollar Fender Player Tele.
Fender doesn't need to make a Tele with the Sire's specs. They know that people who want Fender products will buy guitars with their name on the headstock, and those who don't want to spend so much will buy Squiers.
This video proves that a good player can make almost any halfway decent guitar sound great. I have a $2000 Tele, and Corey make this $700 guitar sound 100 x better than me on my Tele Rarity.
The Squier Classic Vibe Tele is arguably better than its Player Telecaster counterpart, so if the Squier is "noy in the Sire's class" than a Player series Tele most certainly, too. By the way, there are lots of great Mexican Fender models, but the Player series isn't among them.
Good review, i had been looking at the T7 myslef..one question, in video, what is the ear protection your using? (aging rocker with hearing damage question 😉)
Another great video. So fun to watch you just riff in so many styles. But now it's gonna take me four hours to transcribe and swipe some of your riffs haha.
My Sire T7 doesn't get played much, because the Shijie "classic" telecaster is a much better guitar, better than Fender vesions costing 2-3x more. Seriously!
Corey thank you I’ve learned so much from your videos I’m 73 years old and still trying to get there but I wanted to know I also bought a sire seven and there’s a lot to like about it but I also agree with you about the gloss finish. I don’t like put this a certain stiffness to this Guitar and I can’t figure out. I put light gauge strings on it and then took them off 9s on it now could you comment on that? Thanks for everything
Great to hear, Ray! Hmm. It kind of felt like most guitars at this scale length to me. Lighter strings could help. Maybe try a 9.5 set. D’Addario makes them
Actually Fender did this in 2006. When they introduced the Baja (MIM of all things) they took the Tele to a level that no one has come close to producing, even to this day. I've played several Sires, and while they are decent for the money, the used Fender market is going to eliminate them. Probable within the next five years.
For whatever it’s worth, the fender player doesnt come with a case either. The good news is, they are now cheaper than the Sire. I think they learned from the Site with the player 2 series. Waiting on a tele Player 2 HH. Love my sire too. That’a not going anywhere. I have the L7 and S7 as well.
very nice twangy tele guitar...with some good features....i like it...BUT i already have a players 60 years aniversary Fender tele with modded ppickups (and a humbucker in the neck)...so i'll stick with it...only cost me 360 Euros 15 years ago.....they had a "special" promothen...haha...cheers love your channel.... and yes my sire H7 is very nice too......🙂
Every time someone demos a Sire, I like to remind them that Kyle Kim (founder of Sire/Dame) has an interesting story, seems like a really great guy, and he does interviews...
Glossy fretboard is a no-go for me. I have a USA fender strat, which after some years of playing has an awful looking fretboard. Parts of the glossy coat have vanished and these spots got black from dirt. A new neck is fuckin' expensive though.
I don't think it does. While I perfer the ASAT over a tele (at least in the neck position) it doesn't quite sound like a tele at all. The Sire has that "tele" sound. The ASAT sounds like it's own thing. A lot more bite, a like more spank, and the hum on it is the loudest of any guitar I've ever played. But even with that hum it's the best guitar I've ever owned and I've owned about 20ish. I don't even recall how many I've played over the years.
I bought a LC sire gold top LP style gitar, I did the Phil McNight stocking test on the fret board edge, tore the stocking apart , both sides. I was disappointed to say the least, bearing in mind that my Cort CR300 was perfect. Aren't both made in the same indo factory complex ? Korean 500kohm pots in the Sire GT L7
You play that tele with just enough funk to sound like youre channelling Tomo Fujita. Very nice sounding, man. That T7 seems like its nicer than a Fender for 640 bucks, btw. Sounds good, plays good, locking tuners, good neck, does all the Tele things without doing bad things. Why cant Fender make the same axe?-Fender is huge and less dynamic than a smaller company and they are buoyed by the flagship brand recognition that lets them get away with charging more for doing less by my estimation. They do appear to be paying attention for guitars around a thousand dollars and theyre certainly clawing to keep market share for affordable guitars with Squier, but...my conjecture is that it will be a couple years before they come to Jesus and start selling 600-1000 dollar guitars that are as kitted out and well made as the smaller brands that are trying to eat Fender's lunch. Gibson behaves similarly, PRS....should have already made it clear that both companies should be doing better. Just my 2 cents after putting a lot of thought into my own guitars around this price point. You CAN score a solid Tele or a Strat that is a real banger if you time your purchase around blowout sales for around what that T7 goes for, but...yeah...bit of a PITA;)
I have the FM7 Stratocaster .. Its really good and i play it much .. I only need some settings for strats on my boss katana for that spanky sound .. I dont have any expierience with sounds settings and build up .. I think you know what i mean with th strat sound :-) Can you help me out Corey ?

This guy can make any guitar sound great. I've heard that there are quality control issues with some of these Sire guitars. I've heard/seen the same complaint with Squiers. Maybe that's to be expected with less expensive guitars that are produced on the belt.
😂😂😂😂...clueless 🙄😏
Love your playing as always. I have an H7 and think it’s fantastic. This and the S7 are very tempting.
the H7 is quite a bargain....i've modded mine a bit...but no real "work" need to be done....
Thanks for another great demo Corey! Hope your dad enjoys the guitar, it sounds and looks fantastic.
Hey bRos, i have a Sire LC S7 in flamed maple blue lacquer n let me tell ya! it is the best guitar i have played thru in 3 decades
i have way more expensive guitars such as Ibanez Prestige Sabre, but this one has all the tones i ever dreamed of ...not looking anymore to other guitars so far 🤓to fix out the glossy maple fretboard (that i was not happy with at first) i stepped in sanding with 000 steelwool + a special polishing pad ...now it's now a true 💎 it was a good decision 🎖(i was a bit afraid) i have also upgraded the tuners for the same type of locking tuners but in Black Chrome from Gotoh + the Trem with a Gotoh Wilkinson licensed one in Honed Black (looks more modern n classy) ...the guitar has so much improved n looks 🔥💣🔥 i have setup as well a treble bleed with a very particular Caps value that gives me a very stylish tone when slightly rolled back, N last but not least, i have installed a 3 strings retainer (nickel finish) on the head (from StewMac) n upgraded both Tone Caps with Cornell/Dubier polyfilm ones, in 0.33µNf for Neck PU to get a less dark tone with a lil' more top-end & 0.47µNf on the bridge PU (same that stock one) i have also apply some amazing Carnauba wax on the back of the neck n a lil' bit on the back n top to enhance the color n the overall feeling ........it's a dream i feel like i get a +3/4K$ guitar from Suhr 🤩 N i got for this beauty a yellow/brown Tweed finish hardcase for Strat all this for ~840 bucks //// to me the best part of this guitar is the raosted maple neck that has a shape that feels unique under the fingers + a very resonant tone
Your on track brother your playing is remarkable.
I'm not a pro, snd I already have enough guitars, like, maybe 9. I don't have room for more. But one in, one or two out, that's my philosophy. Sire S3 is on my list, the most affordable of the Sire guitars. I prefer the SSS setup.
Corey, you do the best rhythm licks! So cool.
Your dad's T7 neck looks like a lighter brown than those I've seen in shops, it looks killer! Nice demo but I went for the S7 Vintage in black, so can't really justify that purchase... yet...
That tone!!!! What are you running through?? Incredible…
Beautiful guitar. Your playing is fun to listen to as well. First time watching your vids, good introduction.
Hey thx! Welcome to the channel!
Interchangeable parts? Aftermarket parts for mods?
I tried the Sire T3 and the only good thing is the finish of the fret edge and the rolled fingerboard. The pickups aren't great and the mahogany body shouldn't help. The headstock is ugly...but maybe the T7 has better pickups and an alder body that makes it sound like a good telecaster.
I bought as S7 after owning a Player series, 62’ Japanese reissue and a PRS SS SE.. and it’s better than them all.. great guitars!
G&L makes the best "tele" ever built. It's unmatched.
No
You g&l guys....
Like I said for $300 I got a guitar that played, sounded, and frankly looked better than anything I've ever played from fender for under 2
$2K-$3k
Thanks for playing more affordable guitars. You make them sound great, which reminds us these models are serious options.
Corey can make anything sound good.
that's true....
I've got the t7 fm and I love it !!! Very versatile guitar. But bro i can't play it like you, give you a broom handle and a piece of string and you'll get a tune out of it. 😊😅
I own a G&L ASAT. They are fantastic. Mine is a swamp ash body. The foreign made have American electronics and THE BEST TELE BRIDGE ever made.
You have enviable dynamics in your right hand!
Sweet guitar. I loved your tone and playing. I genuinely haven't enjoyed listening to a reviewer play that much for a long time!!
Love your vids and playing, Corey. Always a joy to spend time on your TH-cam channel.
Appreciate that very much!
I recently picked up a "very well" used '95 American Standard for $600. After I leveled and dressed the frets...WOW! Deals are out there folks. I ain't dissin Sire; I love my P7 5 string.
However, it's no American P bass.
I bought one a year ago, it's a great guitar for the price, the only problem is that the nut is too high, you need to work or change it.
Great playing Corey. Thanks for putting this out there. Cheers from San Francisco!
I have a Sire Larry Carlton H7 and LOVE that "335" guitar.
Fantastic review.
I loved that Country solo at 3:25 would it be possible for you to do some lessons on this style of playing?
Thank you.
I hate country style but that solo was sick. Oozes swag.
Such an awesome guitar. But a bad problem, the frets wear out. Need SS.
Fender doesn't need to make a Tele with the Sire's specs. They know that people who want Fender products will buy guitars with their name on the headstock, and those who don't want to spend so much will buy Squiers.
Would you say this is more for a country type of music with the tinny type of sound?
Hey thx! Not using ear protection. I’m using small in ear monitor/headphones
Another great video. So fun to watch you just riff in so many styles. But now it's gonna take me four hours to transcribe and swipe some of your riffs haha.
Do you get a case with the Fender? Defo one to figure into the pricing if it does.
My Sire T7 doesn't get played much, because the Shijie "classic" telecaster is a much better guitar, better than Fender vesions costing 2-3x more. Seriously!
Whats it weigh?
Corey thank you I’ve learned so much from your videos I’m 73 years old and still trying to get there but I wanted to know I also bought a sire seven and there’s a lot to like about it but I also agree with you about the gloss finish. I don’t like put this a certain stiffness to this Guitar and I can’t figure out. I put light gauge strings on it and then took them off 9s on it now could you comment on that? Thanks for everything
Great to hear, Ray! Hmm. It kind of felt like most guitars at this scale length to me. Lighter strings could help. Maybe try a 9.5 set. D’Addario makes them
Just bought a Reverend Greg Koch Grislemeister and while it is more expensive than the Sire, it is unbelievable!
Actually Fender did this in 2006. When they introduced the Baja (MIM of all things) they took the Tele to a level that no one has come close to producing, even to this day. I've played several Sires, and while they are decent for the money, the used Fender market is going to eliminate them. Probable within the next five years.
I have 2 Baja teles. Amazing guitars, had to pick up a second, so I could add different pick ups to my old one. They hold their value massively
For whatever it’s worth, the fender player doesnt come with a case either. The good news is, they are now cheaper than the Sire. I think they learned from the Site with the player 2 series. Waiting on a tele Player 2 HH. Love my sire too. That’a not going anywhere. I have the L7 and S7 as well.
very nice twangy tele guitar...with some good features....i like it...BUT i already have a players 60 years aniversary Fender tele with modded ppickups (and a humbucker in the neck)...so i'll stick with it...only cost me 360 Euros 15 years ago.....they had a "special" promothen...haha...cheers love your channel....
and yes my sire H7 is very nice too......🙂
oh wow how did you get one with a regular maple neck? They're all roasted in the T7 range
Or it looks like a regular maple at least*
exactly what i said when i bought my suhr telecaster…it perfect
Wow, you get a great tone out of that guitar, Corey!
May I ask what kind of pick you're using, and if you're using the point or the shoulder?
Thx! Dunlop .88 nylon and always shoulder
Every time someone demos a Sire, I like to remind them that Kyle Kim (founder of Sire/Dame) has an interesting story, seems like a really great guy, and he does interviews...
I’ll check it out!
Damn you are such a great player. I have a sire T7 and S7. Love them.
Thx so much!
Nicely done Corey, sweet - sweet axe I am now thinking I need to rethink the Fenders that I have on all of my wish lists!
Thanks for the review! Please do the Sire thinline tele with P90s!
Glossy fretboard is a no-go for me. I have a USA fender strat, which after some years of playing has an awful looking fretboard. Parts of the glossy coat have vanished and these spots got black from dirt. A new neck is fuckin' expensive though.
They made a T3 with a rosewood fingerboard.
Awesome playing! Every guitar you demo, I think i wanna buy!!!
How would you compare this to the G&L Tribute ASAT Classic?
I don't think it does. While I perfer the ASAT over a tele (at least in the neck position) it doesn't quite sound like a tele at all. The Sire has that "tele" sound. The ASAT sounds like it's own thing. A lot more bite, a like more spank, and the hum on it is the loudest of any guitar I've ever played. But even with that hum it's the best guitar I've ever owned and I've owned about 20ish. I don't even recall how many I've played over the years.
I have this exact model and it’s fantastic. Plays and feels like it’s $1K more expensive than it is
I bought a LC sire gold top LP style gitar, I did the Phil McNight stocking test on the fret board edge, tore the stocking apart , both sides. I was disappointed to say the least, bearing in mind that my Cort CR300 was perfect. Aren't both made in the same indo factory complex ? Korean 500kohm pots in the Sire GT L7
How did it do that???...when the Sire frets ends are known to be rolled/rounded? 🤔
@@christoguichard4311 Good question, maybe went thru to the 'keeper un-noticed. I do the stocking test on all my guitars, worst result ever. WTF .
I want their gorgeous Thinline T7TM, but with the Filtertron pickups in it :-)
I have a MIM tele a real keeper on the 3rd set of frets.
I think I’d have to de-gloss that fretboard, but it’s a good looking, great sounding guitar.
*_Sounds spectacular ... then again I suspect Corey could make a bargain-basement diddley-bow sound spectacular also...._*
You got the licks man :) Great playing - super tasty :) AND Yes Great guitar!!! I’m getting a Sire jazz Bass soon :)
I have the FM7 Stratocaster .. Its really good and i play it much .. I only need some settings for strats on my boss katana for that spanky sound ..
I dont have any expierience with sounds settings and build up .. I think you know what i mean with th strat sound :-)
Can you help me out Corey ?
