Very informant video the only thing on the transfer gear support bolt torque is a little much on an old transmission i have had them pull the threads, so be careful i know the spec is 89 in pds plus 50 degs
It would be great to see part 2. As I have an 08 Saturn Vue. It clicks on driver side when coming to a stop. I've looked at breaks and shield and the while area. I'm thinking it might be a wave plate or the alikes?? It doesn't slip or not shift until it's stuck in 2nd. But if codes clear it's OK But I only have solenoid codes?? I'm not sure beats me lol!! Thanks!!!
@@DMoneyGarage thanks bud. I got to that part, and pulling the pin was a real pain, but I mean can you reinstall the parking pawl rod with the neutral safety switch while the transmission is still in the vehicle? I can't seem to tell if it is in correctly or not.
@@ryansmith1115I have the same issue right now. I was replacing the shifter range switch and the Paw shift ride came out of its location in the case. I tried for about a half hour to get it back into its location but wanted to research a little more to see where it had to get put into so I could take another stab at it tomorrow. Did you have any luck getting the rod back in without taking the transmission apart?
@@DMoneyGarageIs it possible to put the parking paw rod back into place without taking the transmission apart? I was replacing the shifter switch with the valve body out and the parking paw rod slid out of its location from the park Paw guide. I tried to put it back in but it didn't catch the guide but I was kind of doing it blindly because I didn't know what The guide looked like so I had a better idea of what I was feeling for. I watched your video and now I see what the guide looks like. I just want to get your take on it. Thank you
Where is part 2? I'm thinking of replacing the clutch packs with the trans still in the car. Looks somewhat possible to do through the driver's side wheel well...
@@DMoneyGarage Will look forward to watching it! I just got an '17 Impala with that transmission. No problems at all right now, but if I ever need to rebuild it in the future, I'll know who's videos to watch 👍🏽👍🏽
I have all the parts. Have had a lot of customer vehicles since finding cheap used cars is impossible. Everyone wants their cars fixed. I’m still planning on doing part 2 tho
Hi. My traverse is shuttering/ jerking at a certain rpm. The fluid is very metallic so I think the torque converter is bad. Do you have a link for the parts i will need to fix that issue? Great video!
I have a Chevrolet Traverse 2009 Transmission that vibrates strongly at a certain speed between 60 and 80 km or when passing through a high place or the road is uneven, can you explain the reasons
Awesome detailed video

I think this is the transmission I have in my 2015 Chevy impala Ltz.

how do you tell between gen 1 and 2 before ypu take it apart
Thanks man ..very helpful
Great video! for the parking pawl rod, can that be done without removing the transmission
Yes. Once the valve body is out you can use pliers and a small prybar and pull that nail. The. The rod can be pulled up to replace the range switch.

Will you ever upload part 2 of this transmission rebuild?
Yes. This trans is one I'm building then will sell. Unfortunately alot of people have needed their cars fixed. But it is on the to do list.

Any update on this? Your pt 1 video was informative. Would love to see pt. 2

I HAVE A 2023 CADILLAC XT5 AND IT'S GOING IN FOR RECALL ON THE SUN GEAR REPLACEMENT, DO THEY REMOVE THE TRANS WITH THE ENGINE ? THANK YOU

2007 Saturn Aura XR 3.6l, also FWD.
Just for accuracy, if that trans came from a Traverse, it is a 6T75, not a 6T70. Pretty much the same except stronger.
Would be great if you would get the camera closer and show the part your installing better

Sounds like torque converter shudder. The fox would be to replace the torque converter.
Do you think it is possible to remove this transmission without the use of a car lift? My gmc terrain has seen better days.
Dude! Let's get on with part two! This is no way to build subs.
Sir , Where are you located ? I have a Chevrolet Malibu
Northeast Indiana
PS: A year ago, you promised part 2. If you're not going to do it, post it and SAY so.
6T70 Rebuild Part 2. 6T75 Rebuild Part 2. Transmission Assembly. Transaxle Assembly.
