I miss Type O but I hope Josh continues to make music. If by chance I don't get to hear any of it I hope that at least he makes good "music" with his loved ones in his life. Just by being there one creates a sort of music in everybody's life that we touch. Shiit..I'm drunk. Godspeed everyone!
About Josh's impeccably cynical Coney Island report, all of a sudden it hit me, that Whiplash's 87 album ''Ticket to mayhem'' was not about the chance of seeing Euronymous's combo live, but going fearlessly headfirst on Coney's rollercoaster. Mr Josh Silver, the (very) quiet one with the drab four. We all miss these days.
They're so fucking funny, I love their humor. I know someone who'll be very happy to see ( probably again) that their favorite place to play was Detroit. Pretty sad they never came to my country, I would have loved to see them...
The last part with Josh walking around Coney Island with September Sun in the background was beautiful, the spirit of Peter and Type O will always live.
Did not realize Josh was funny. he just never said a fuckin thing in interviews. Josh, if I don't hear some of your music soon do you do stand up? funny bastard.
Josh was the funniest of the 4. Try searching (YT) for 'Josh Silver interviews'. The one where an interviewer asks him about 'The Least Worst of Type O Negative' (int date: 2000) is hysterical...esp the ending. Josh is FUCKING funny!!
Hes an EMT now believe it or not. Lol can you fucking imagine? I imagine him hauling drunks in the ambulance, a boozed out fuck recognizes him and starts belting out "wolf moon" lyrics.
I’m overwhelmed with emotion in the best way possible hearing these guys laugh and talk about good times. All love to Type O, rest in peace Peter Steele.
(9/18/2018) So lately I've been watching these interviews and last night I had an oddly specific dream that begs to be shared. In the dream I met Pete and the band in some dive bar in the middle of nowhere, felt like PA or NY. I was just hanging out with Pete like we'd been friends for awhile, though I was aware that he died. He looked kinda rough and older like he did in this video. He looks at my phone and says, "Take a photo of me and post it." As if to mean, "yea I know I'm dead, and when you post it, everyone's gonna freak out." But for some reason I couldn't get my phone to work. So later he wanders off and I ask where he went and I think it was Kenny says, "yea that's Pete, he doesn't like to hang around too long, he starts drinking too much and gets too wild."
My total respect to all the great rock bands, but what I have to say about Peter, is that he and his band Type O Negative, is something that can't be explained.
Weird venues: they are speaking of The Ranch Bowl (rip) in Omaha. It was a weird venue for bigger bands to play, because the green room was on the other side of the building from the actual venue. I saw gwar walking through the bowling alley once. The reactions of the bowlers was amazing
They were so funny. Wish I’d have run into them when I lived there but I was gone 10 years earlier. Coney Island was so weird, like stuck in a time warp, but still carnival creepy. The Aquarium is nice though...

& to think Josh Silver sitting in the corner like “cousin it” is an “EMT” now & doesn’t really speak here is scary! I’m sure there’s a few people in Brooklyn New York who have had to call for an Ambulance & Josh shows up & there like “NEEEEXT!” LOL 😂. All joking aside good for Josh man he knew he was getting older & Type O’s ship was coming close to hitting an iceberg & it was time to move on to the next stage in his life because Peter wasn’t doing to well, there were a few shows where Pete was using a chair on stage or sitting on Johnny's drum riser & it hurt seeing him like that because he was such a kind gentle giant! Yes he was sober for roughly a year before he passed which is awesome but it takes the body time to catch up & heal & at age 48 maybe it was too late obviously? Pete was the reason I picked up the bass in 1991/1992 after hearing “Slow Deep & Hard” which were basically left over “Carnivore” songs & of course the two Carnivore albums which were way ahead of their time both musically & lyrically. No Hope=No Fear
I almost got to see them at a place in Jacksonville Florida I used to play a lot in the mid 90s called Spike’s Doghouse. They had to cancel because even though the stage was only a foot high, there wasn’t enough clearance above Peter for him to fit. lol Hand to God.
