Thanks AJ for this! 17 days until the exam and this has really helped me get an idea of what they exam is like. Plus love your CFA tips and tricks. Keep making superb content!
Sir could you please make a video on what kind of questions will come or more chance to come in the CFA level 1 exam . Please based on you experience what should be the main topic we should give more time on that ..
AJ thanks--this video was awesome as they always are! One quick question -- what do you think the best approach is to the EOC questions ? Is it better to try and answer without looking back into the material, even though that might be a struggle? Read through and read the answers , then try to work again? Watch Mark Meldrum go through ? Thank you. I find I devote a huge amount of time to working on them if I don't check the material for reference--then miss many of them and not really learn anything as result. PS non finance background. Thank you again --Chip
Hey Chip, I think the best way to do the EOC's is to struggle with them. Then the ones you get wrong, go back to the material and see how to do it. When you really don't understand, then use MM videos.
Thanks a lot for the video, AJ. Just wanted to know if there were questions on convexity or Macaulay duration calculation? It’s such a time consuming problem, calculating via BA II plus calculator is not possible
Am I the only one who has already finished the FRA part but not heard of the installment method? I don't remember studying the method. Did I miss it in the CFA curriculum?
Thanks AJ for the video, im taking the L1 on 2023, the problem that i encounter now is when i do quiz based on module or each module i can answer the question, but when it become mocks when the question is not by module order, sometime i confused which formula i must used, especially when using t/z score, any advice AJ? thanks
Yes! The advice for that is to memorize all the formulas. But you don't need to do this until close to exam time. So for now, just work through the practice questions while looking at a formula sheet.
Hi I saw your video on mock exam strategy for l1 were you mentioned to take as many mocks as possible. I am going for this strategy and my exam is on Jul 18th. I am able to devote full time for studies until the exam. My plan Is to do half mock everyday and review them thoroughly. I have 8 (4 kaplan, 2MM , 1 Wiley, 1 Cfa) mocks in total and out of that I have taken 2 kaplan mocks. My scores were 60 and 62. I have also done 70% cfai qbank avg around 74%. So my question is would I be good if I complete the other 6 mock remaining or should I try to squeeze in more mocks? I also plan to allot last 3 days for ethics and formula memorization.
Hi Mukund, It sounds like you have a good strategy. If you have time, getting in 1-2 more mocks wouldn't hurt. But 8 is still solid, and memorizing formulas in the last few days is the most important.
I have a question about cfa eligibility The eligibility says you should have a degree or equivalent or 4000hrs.can i do frm first and do cfa all levels? Does frm count as a degree equivalent?
Thanks AJ for this! 17 days until the exam and this has really helped me get an idea of what they exam is like. Plus love your CFA tips and tricks. Keep making superb content!
Thanks Jen! Best of luck on the exam!

Can't say!
Would you recommend starting with Ethics?
Yea I don't think that's a bad way to do it.
What about CFA questions set and practice problem
What about them?
Am I the only one who has already finished the FRA part but not heard of the installment method? I don't remember studying the method. Did I miss it in the CFA curriculum?
It's pretty early on in the second or third reading of FRA under revenue recognition
Hi! I think its in I/S reading.
Will you do one of these videos for level 2?
Yes!

I will make a video for 2023.
Just enrolled for Level 1 May 2025
Best of luck studying!!!
Hey, CFA level 1 exam pass rates just came out. Only 25% of the students passed. Do you find it fair? Thanks
I will make a video about this ASAP
Are cfa website questions enough for practice? And how many mocks we should give before our main exam
No, you should do all the blue boxes and EOCs as well. I usually tried to do 10+ mocks to give myself the best chance of passing.
@@straighttalks-ajsrmek323 do you recommend any resources for mock exams?
@@anthonydematteis5760 I liked Wiley
