My wife and I are section hiking caminos to experience their differences and also to help us decide which one we want to through hike when we retire in a few years. Your videos are so instructional on the experience beyond the hiking itself. And from what I see there really isn’t another Camino route that has the geographic changes, the history and the experience of towns that exist simply for the pilgrims. The Frances seems to have it all. Despite the popularity this one is at the top of our list. Thank you for providing such great content.
Thank you so much David! How many sections have you completed? The Camino Frances is a favorite for the people! Last year we walked the Via Francigena, there are TH-cam videos on that trek, which was outstanding for views and food! Thank you so much for commenting, it means a lot to us!! - Michelle & Brian
Thanks for sharing & helping others understand the Meseta better. It was very helpful. You two have great energy and I loved your stops in the small towns, especially the little chapel/blessing of the nun and learning the history behind so many important places. I'll be returning to finish the Camino in a few weeks and am bursting with excitement watching all these TH-cam videos. Buen Camino❤
Aww thank you! I wish I could tell you all of our remaining videos will be out before you leave; however, they won’t be as we’re interspersing our fall camping videos. But maybe they will inspire you to walk again once you’re done. ❤️ Buen Camino!
The blessings from the nun was just so perfect. She is so sweet. Nice stop for the night. Looks like y’all are building community. Food looked amazing. The old ruins with the sounds of birds was a delight. Hills are bad when the elevation is gradual. It’s when it’s so drastic that it winds me. I hate button pushing showers. We get those a lot in some campgrounds. Yes, the skylight may be a problem. 😂. The museum looked spectacular. WORK!
She was the sweetest nun ever!! We built an outstanding community of people which made the trip so much more fun! Yes - campground showers with push buttons are so exhausting. LOL Thanks for everything!!
At 21:10 - Castrojariz straight ahead with the castle ruins on top of the hill, Many climb to the top and get a fantastic view of the vast Meseta. You are especially Blessed to be here during the Festival. Very Much Fun !!! ENJOY- Buen Camino
Thanks for the great video. Just out of curiosity, when do you use those umbrellas? It seemed like this hike would be the time to protect yourselves from the sun. Do you only use them for rain?
Thank you so much! We use the umbrellas for heat and rain, they are great for protecting us from the sun. We didn't use them too much this summer but we had outstanding temperatures this summer. We were quite blessed. Thanks for asking!!
Hi Cathy! We booked all of our accommodations in advance. It's so nice to just not have to worry about it every day. We made a few changes but they were easy changes. Hope that helps! Are you planning to walk the Camino soon?
@@CruisinwiththeColemans we walked part of the Via Francigena this summer and got hooked. My husband plans to retire from teaching after 41 years in June of 2025. We thought we would go in September of 2025.
41 years of teaching - wow he is a rockstar!! I don’t think either of us could make it that long. What does he teach? September sounds like a wonderful time of year to be on the Camino!
Have you walked the Camino? Tell us your Camino story below! 👇🏼
That blessing made my eyes water 🥰
@@jenniferjuniper9118 it was very special! Thank you, Jennifer!

He teaches US History
La Meseta es como la pradera Norteamericana pero a 600 mts. de altitud sobre el nivel del mar, pero con iglesias románicas y góticas .😊
Sí, esa es una buena comparación. ¡Gracias por ver!
it's flat and it's beautiful in its own way
Absolutely beautiful! How many times have you walked it?
