I got in so much trouble getting caught playing this at midnight when I had borrowed my mates' c64. Great value for 1.99 and so addictive. I can remember every note of this tune and I'm senile.
Hey, I can sing along with childhood-me's lyrics: If your name's Clumsy Colin Why would you ride a bike? You'll probably get yourself killed And that's not something you'd like.
I played this as a kid but I didn't really know what I was doing, I think I just always found it fun trying to stay on those structures without falling off haha
After 32 years I remembered the tune perfectly. I hummed along as I showed my children my favorite commodore64 game. I remember going over the water with the bike but I don't think I ever made it to drag race.
I was able to hum along to this tune the first time I heard it, thanks to it being so genius that I could predict every coming note perfectly at only 7 years old! My mate was well impressed 🤓 Great game though, it took 4 of use nearly 3 months of careful planning to finally get over the finish line, eagerly awaiting our fanfare completion reward....only to be met by the start new game screen! 🤣
Hubbard's very first I believe (and it sounds like it!!!) Lovely tune though, hearing it again brings a tear to my eye taking me back to my bedroom and the little B&W portable TV I had my computer plugged in to!
I used to sit for soooo long waiting for this to load and if u dare even move once in my room, just move a little, it would crash on loading. Any floorboard in my room moved even one tiny bit and any game loading would simply black screen lol. Sometimes it took hours to get it working cos my brother or me would get bored and blow some shit up with my fucked up and dangerous as hell little chemistry set with pots of iron and what ever that for some reason my parents thought id like every xmas and so I always had stashed some where under my bed, another great thing long forgotten! But fuckkkk it was all worth itttttttttttttt, this and so many others were the best everrrrrrrrrrrr!!
My god, I think I repressed the memory of hoping this game would load only to have it crash just because I blinked or breathed to hard. I think I had rituals for getting this game tow work.
I loved playing this game. Mastertronic 1.99 range. They were the days. Funny thing but no one i can remember ever considered the so called big ending to any of these little gems. It was all about just playing the games and enjoying them for what they were. Absolute Fun.
Oh u actully did a full run. Must have been a hell to memorize/map out all the locations. Thumb up for u. i remember just biking around with no goal in mind
I can't imagine how much of a piss-off it must have been to go up those ramps, negotiate the turns, get soooooo close to the next component, and fall off and have to drive up there all over again! lol!
Loved this game back then. Its as laid back as the fantastic music. I managed to solve it too, although it took me much longer to find all the stuff. For the limited computer memory, I personally think the race was a nice ending.
Finally someone else who remembers that Skips crisps promotion! I don't think it was free, but it wasn't far off - something like collect 6 crisp packets and send them in an envelope with a cheque for 28p to claim the full game from KP! The best deal ever.
Well DerSchmu, I spent DAYS worth of my life failing to complete this game back when I was young, But you can finish it without losing a life in 15 minutes......... Just remember, Nobody likes a smart arse. LOL !
Ah Clumsy Colin. The brief long forgotten advertising campaign for KP Skips. Cant complain for £1.99 but what WAS the point of that race at the end? Awful lot of work for such little reward.
Love it, so many memories I feel old now. I made a map of the area with all the parts to collect numbered. Great game but looks a little dated today lol
Mastertronic 1.99 and, in the UK, Clumsy Colin KP Skips prawn cocktail crisps tie-in! Wonder why that's not mentioned here, probably that was a UK-only thing.
Just got a C64 from Fleebay. I saw this game on my friends C64 (Hello Stewart McAlpine!) back in the mid 80's. I bought this game on the strength of that mid 80's play. A cool game, with a better soundtrack.
This is the version that I remember playing (claimed using the KP crisps promotion), as I remeber all of those object placements. Although Im pretty sure my version had a white spite effect when sking over water, which wasn't the case in your version. I was suprised to see a very different version on the internet with far less object to collect, and no waterski object.
Same to me....Atari 800 XL with datasette.....Christmas 1988.....in East Germany (there was a so called "Intershop", were you could buy western articles for hard to get West Germany Mark DM) ......I was totaly baffeled, as I ripped the paper from my present....What is this?...Just another lame board game?....Whoaaa......A computer! And this little thing? Clumsy Collin!.....and later at this evening bitter tears for blokading the TV for so long.......^^
I had this at the age of about 5, it seemed at the time like a huge open world with unlimited possibilities... I don't remember ever managing to get all the parts.
I did it once after weeks of trying. I was too young to understand what "drag race starts in 1 minute" could possibly mean, so I ran out of time just as I figured out it might have meant to go to the track. I literally tried to tear the diskette in half and never played again.
bought this in about 86 on cassette - it had a yellow case.. mastertronic released it with their budget games for about $10. think its an early rob hubbard tune
Clumsy Colin. heh, sounds like the UK version just hijacked a normal motorcycle game and tagged it together with the then advertising campaign character for uk snack KP Skips.
Hahaha, its weird though because there are other games where I was a bit more able to play Oh well, it was the NES and Super Mario Bros. which truly started the ball rolling in my gaming education!
I didn't know you could refuel there! ha ha, I only find out 28 years later! ha ha, I love the internet. I'm now gonna look for Tales of the Arabian Nights and Potty Pigeon which I was addicted to in around 1983!
Stevie Wonder man why did I have a connection to crisps in my head? i was thinking quavers for some reason, I remember playing this with my uncles when i was about 5 or 6 lol. Memories
One of the people I work with just revealed that he used to write computer games - turns out this was one of the games he wrote!
Whats their name?
Yeah, do tell! Doesn't have a credit anywhere online for some unknown reason.
Was it Shaun Southern?
I got in so much trouble getting caught playing this at midnight when I had borrowed my mates' c64. Great value for 1.99 and so addictive. I can remember every note of this tune and I'm senile.
god my oh... so this game DID have a purpose
LOL 😂 😂 I’m shocked too! 🤣😂😅
played this as a little girl probably about 6 years old never forgotten that awesome tune, its just as I remember it
Sun Wukong about time for a PS4 version I think
Hey, I can sing along with childhood-me's lyrics:
If your name's Clumsy Colin
Why would you ride a bike?
You'll probably get yourself killed
And that's not something you'd like.
I played this as a kid but I didn't really know what I was doing, I think I just always found it fun trying to stay on those structures without falling off haha
same xD
this game: Fall off an elevated structure, and you are perfectly normal
Also this game: Hit tiny little can on the side of the road, and you are dead
The first open world driving game :)
What a game what a computer what a child hood
What a comment
And blagger goes to Hollywood has the same musical charm, yes, I'm right in saying that I think
@Jamie Gregg how long have you both been mates for?
You have some serious skills. That game was hard!
After 32 years I remembered the tune perfectly. I hummed along as I showed my children my favorite commodore64 game. I remember going over the water with the bike but I don't think I ever made it to drag race.
Definately one of my favorite C64 games ever. I spent many hours on this as a kid in the 80s. You certainly have some skills, this was a tough game.
I loved this game and played it for so many hours!
Somewhere amongst my old C64 setup there still exists my list of locations to follow when looking for the next item in Action Biker
A classic example of how to make a good budget game, easy on the eye And a lovely twee Hubbard soundtrack.
Hubbard's very first I believe (and it sounds like it!!!) Lovely tune though, hearing it again brings a tear to my eye taking me back to my bedroom and the little B&W portable TV I had my computer plugged in to!
God I used to think the graphics in this were sooooo amazing......photographic quality 3D realism
Got to love the music. Brings back memories.
I used to sit for soooo long waiting for this to load and if u dare even move once in my room, just move a little, it would crash on loading. Any floorboard in my room moved even one tiny bit and any game loading would simply black screen lol. this came free with a C64 mag, and even though it was free, it was by far one of hte best games on the C64.
9:45 Go faster stripes.......^^
Christmas 1988 - the brandnew Atari 800 XL and this game .....nobody noticed it was christmas......
One of the few games I managed to finish back in the day.
I loved playing this game. Mastertronic 1.99 range. They were the days. Funny thing but no one i can remember ever considered the so called big ending to any of these little gems. It was all about just playing the games and enjoying them for what they were. Absolute Fun.
My very first C64 game, I loved it !
Oh u actully did a full run. Must have been a hell to memorize/map out all the locations. Thumb up for u. i remember just biking around with no goal in mind
Hours and hours spent playing this game, bring it back I say.
That music is just awesome on so many levels.
The memories are flooding back now, what a classic game this was and still is!
had to come back to this on emulator to complete as I could never do it as a kid.
god bless my c64. awesome memories. xx
41 yrs old. Thanks for posting.
I can't imagine how much of a piss-off it must have been to go up those ramps, negotiate the turns, get soooooo close to the next component, and fall off and have to drive up there all over again! lol!

yea loved the music on this one
i loved this game as a kid. although i sucked pretty bad at it. ^^
this music really brings up memories
Thanks for your longplays ! So many games I had totally forgot, this one was the bomb !
So awesome...I'm having crazy flashbacks. Played this game a LOT as a kid. This music is sweet. lol
I remember this in the US. It didn't have the Crazy Colin bit at the beginning -- it just went to the green title screen.
one of my first c64 games, absolutely loved it!!
I just needed to hear the song again.... great playthrough, thanks!
Classic gaming. Loved this in my youth. Great sid tune aswell.
I was rubbish at this. Love the soundtrack. Tune sticks in my head.
What an ending!!!!
Back from past you got good skills sir ! Thank you !!
Thank you. Reminded me of my childhood.
wow the memories! this game was so, so hard.
Got this game free with skips and loved it when I was a wee Lass, the only real true GTA of its day!
Finally someone else who remembers that Skips crisps promotion! I don't think it was free, but it wasn't far off - something like collect 6 crisp packets and send them in an envelope with a cheque for 28p to claim the full game from KP! The best deal ever.
I didn't even realise what to do as a kid, I just remember trying to go up those rollercoaster type things with little success :s
open world game : )
Well DerSchmu, I spent DAYS worth of my life failing to complete this game back when I was young, But you can finish it without losing a life in 15 minutes......... Just remember, Nobody likes a smart arse. LOL !
I always crashed when getting the lunch box. I hated that one.
Grand theft auto 6 goes back to basics
Grand theft auto skips
This is amazing. You make it look easy.
used to love this game, the first game I bought for my 64
This game looks so addictive. I have to try it on my c64.
took ages to load and was foooookin solid....many a happy hr spent on this badboy
brilliant game was one of my first games!
Great game but looks a little dated today lol
good memories but I will never play this game again!
PS from the moment you receive the gearbox you can also use the low gear which is useful sometimes.
Was a good game in its day
Catchy tune
One of the hardest ps4 games I ever played
Omg loved this game. Remember i thougt Skips was a peanut butter commercial.
bought this from the budget rack of tapes, played it for hours. took me years to eventually win it.
thank you hubbard.
Great game which I completed back in the day, one of the few I actually did 😂.
Fantastic value too at £1.99
These guys are gods , doing all these games with no cheats .
I couldn't believe this was a budget title. I completed it in the end after many hours of fun.
The SID was great at engine noises. It could probably have done really good fart sounds effects too.
This game baffled me when I was 6 years old
I’m pretty sure I never got more than three or four of the flashing dots
We just rode around and ran the bike off the Rollercoaster! 🤣😂😅
Mastertronic 1.99 and, in the UK, Clumsy Colin KP Skips prawn cocktail crisps tie-in! Wonder why that's not mentioned here, probably that was a UK-only thing.
Rob Hubbard!
One of his first if not the first tune he did.
Just got a C64 from Fleebay. I saw this game on my friends C64 (Hello Stewart McAlpine!) back in the mid 80's. I bought this game on the strength of that mid 80's play. A cool game, with a better soundtrack.

this my first game and i think one of the 2 i really bought inthe store on datasette.
Depth sorting on this is actually pretty clever, even if it is a "budget" game. Never completed this one as a kid...
JW3HH

Congratulations to the developers in Basic 1.1 language.
bought this in about 86 on cassette - it had a yellow case.. mastertronic released it with their budget games for about $10. think its an early rob hubbard tune
the ending sucked! I'm almost glad that I never finished it.
If you win or lose you get the same ending, back to the title screen.
Clumsy Colin.
heh, sounds like the UK version just hijacked a normal motorcycle game and tagged it together with the then advertising campaign character for uk snack KP Skips.
My childhood.
I remember playing this as a kid and after the drag race being so dissapointed. Like that's it? The game just ends and nothing else happens?! Lol
Awesome!!!
Hahaha, its weird though because there are other games where I was a bit more able to play
Oh well, it was the NES and Super Mario Bros. which truly started the ball rolling in my gaming education!
Mmm, Skips! Prawn Cocktail were the best.
These games aren't as big as I though them to be as a kid.
I didn't know you could refuel there! ha ha, I only find out 28 years later! ha ha, I love the internet. I'm now gonna look for Tales of the Arabian Nights and Potty Pigeon which I was addicted to in around 1983!
this was one of the games a bought first game i bought in the the beginning...actually on tape. later only copy´s copy´s^^
Wow. I remember this being really hard!!!! I was probably 9... LOL AWESOME.
Action Biker or "how to put a rat bike together C64 style" :)
Used to love this! £1.99 as well!
it's like grandfather of GTA
15 minutes to complete..... holy crap this too me months!?
I hate that someone is SO much better than me in this game. I fucking crash all the time.
I suspect cheats are involved.
The original dubstep! =P
Some nice music with a big fart on top of it
Ok, I know I am not alone with this question: What the FUCK was that “T” structure thingamajig?
Great
i only knew this game as KP skips
Stevie Wonder man why did I have a connection to crisps in my head? i was thinking quavers for some reason, I remember playing this with my uncles when i was about 5 or 6 lol. Memories
I was completely useless at this game
