What's your RSS feed reader of choice? I've tried a few from time to time but Newsboat is the one that I ultimately settled on, I mainly listen to podcasts when I'm out so I just use a podcast app for those.
My newsboat vid coming this week I cover the custom query feeds, and how to easily export your entire TH-cam subscription list in one go and format it for newsboat with vim macros, looking forward to the macro info, read the docs but any cools idea you git would be welcome!
Nice video! BTW, you can reload the urls file without quitting Newsboat by pressing ^R (that's Control and r pressed simultaneously). Can be re-binded to any other key, of course; the operation is called "reload-urls".

Everything in computers is named in the American way because the silicon valley is in California. Just so happened that when most of the computer vocabulary was being developed in the 70s and 80s most of the software people were in America.
Switched from Liferea to Newsboat over a month ago. At first I was skeptical, I assumed a terminal feed reader wouldn't be able to do the following: - notifications - auto refresh every x minutes without keeping a terminal window open - start the auto refresh function on system startup Newsboat could do all of that. Linux terminal apps surprise me yet again.
Does anyone else just not even have a ".config" or "urls" folder for their newsboat? What am I missing here. I also am only 4 days deep into manjaro...
I used to have this on my system all the time. Really nice application, but then I realized that I spend most of my time in Firefox.. So I thought it made more sense to have a browser add-on as a substitute. So now I have one less software to care about.
Reading the comments gave me an idea... Generate the RSS feeds for the channels I follow Watch links through mpv (would it be possible to automate giving a like through "the sofware that can be named" and ends with -dl?) and disable javascript overall, making my browsing lighter and more secure
The problem with this reader is it's not for beginners and not very user friendly. I think you should also recommend a reader for people who know nothing about using RSS Readers

I love Newsboat and i've been using it for a long time but i didn't know about the highlights, nice one.
It certainly makes it a little less boring to look at all the time.

They recommend you install via FLATPAK but, it's definitely in the AUR

If the folder is missing you'll just have to make the folder, the program checks that location for the configuration
