If you cut out each contour you can actually build a nice topographic map for real!! Same can be do e for underwater lakes but its more difficult to get the data....
That's really great, but, for some reason, roads and labels are not appearing for me... The option is selected, but no luck. I'm struggling to find a specific location without these.
Hey Daniel, It can be a little tricky to see things on the map. I have not really worked with roads and so on. This is also starting to show it's age a bit. I wish I was able to help you out more. If you are willing to learn new programs there is an addone for blender called BlenderGIS: whish is pretty powerful. I might make a video about it at some point.
The website doesn't show place names on the maps for me? Tried everything lol cannot get the place names so it makes finding places SO hard. Any suggestions? Thank you
I need to develop a 3d vector map (2000mm X 1000mm) of a large geographical area to be carved by cnc in mdf board. could you please help me for design?
Dude! This is gold! Thank you very much!
Great video. What type of wood cutting laser do you recommend for a father and son project just like the one you did? Thank you.
This is exactly what I was looking for! Thank you!😉
this was PERFECT! thanks so much!
Thanks so much! This is great! So much less painful than what I was doing!
this is awesome, I want to make my own prizes for a series of events I run, this is perfect for that personal touch!
That’s fantastic! Do you have a site that would include bathymetric lines?
aweseome video, helped me a lot for my graphic design project, thanks!!!
Why doesn't this show water depth? I don't like that it leaves the water blank, do you know of anything like this for lake depths?
What do you use to clean up the burn marks?

Thank you, thank you, thank you!
@MakerTales
How do you so easily remove the lines outside of the circle? have been breaking my head on this for 2 days now. Still can't find it.
Draw a selection box with the direct select tool (the White arrow) press delete and everything in the selection will be deleted.
Great video ! very helpful! could you suggest a site like this for doing Bathymetry contours for inland lakes? thanks in advance

Your very welcome!
2 hours can be rounded to minutes
Awesome work
Thanks a lot 😊
Can you do something like a Boolean intersection of the map with the circle to cut the map perfectly to the circle?
If I was in a 3d program like blender... Yes... I would be able to do a simple boolean to do that.
website is broken
the website isn't working
that site is pure hell
Very good .. but I can find my country (Tunisia) with this site .. realy strange :/
I don't know why you can't find it but I do... contours.axismaps.com/#11/33.9750/9.5663 this is Ben Ghilouf
You could have just selected the peak circle and enlarged as well
its great but a frustrating site
