Hell, my dad came from Japan in the late 50s. Wore a Mackinaw and a toque all the friggin' time except when he was wearing a hardhat at work. :D Looked like a Canadian, eh? :P
What's next? British Stereotypes? American Stereotypes? French Stereotypes? You just know those lists are going to consist of things like bad teeth, obesity and bad odour.
Correction, moose do NOT walk away from accidents with an SUV, let alone a car. In an accident with a vehicle, though the moose may not be instantly killed, they usually end up having to be put down because of broken legs. And moose are sighted more often than you might think. They’re actually a road hazard at certain times of the year, along with deer. Also, Timmy’s does indeed keep most of us Canucks fuelled up....with coffee and breakfast.
I really do appreciate you debunking the bogus stereotypes of my country. Other Canadian stereotypes that are also not true are: we all drink bagged milk, and we all say aboot.
This list is so dumb... you say stereotypes that are mostly true, but in the video you just prove how they're all false... at least change the name to top 10 Canadian stereotypes.
#10 is true. You'll never see a dead Tim Hortons anywhere in Canada. The first professional hockey game was played at the duquesne gardens arena in Pittsburgh.
It's true, we say sorry more, but we don't apologize more. Sorry can mean either excuse me (after bumping into someone), excuse me (when asking someone to repeat something) or just sorry when apologizing
When someone talks about Canada and isn’t even Canadian Killlllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
I can vouch for the one about us not being totally Polite or Apologetic. I have had to deal with some of the Most Impolite Canadian Jackasses to know that one - eh!
When I was Younger I had a Black Lab (Dog) and also for a limited time a ("Japanese Fighting Fish") /none of the Other Animals mentioned in the List. and what is true though I have Put ("Maple Syrup") in several of my Meals when I make them gives some extra natural sweetness on Chicken Alfredo or Chicken Teriyaki or even on warm Pizza as examples.
That's the joke. WatchMojo is Canadian and they're poking fun at all of us who call Canada home. These are meant to make you laugh because they're not true at all which all us Canadians know.
Thraith, Wait..... they are systematically disproving these stereotypes. How are they poking fan at anything other than people who think these things are true?
I always find it funny when people say its always winter in Canada. In Canada today it's July 4th 2018 and here where I am its 32 degrees Celsius (or 89 degrees Fahrenheit) inside my house!
Blacque Jacques Shellacque, I've been to America and their not all the same as the rest of the world. A lot of the American stereotypes are that they are dumb, overweight and racist, and some of these stereotypes are partly correct because I've been to America and their are loads more overweight people compared to here in the U.K. However Americans are some of the nicest people in the world, because in the U.K everyone minds their own business, but in the US it seems like you can ask directions from anyone and they will help you. Overall every country has different stereotypes types and everyone is different, but that isn't a bad thing, I was only stating that I'd rather be known to drink lots of coffee then be overweight. Plz don't kill me
As far as temperatures go (in Canada), the city where I live rarely gets below 14F (-10c) and its not uncommon to reach as high as 104f (40c) in summer. I have never slept in an igloo (I've only seen a couple). But thanks to my beautiful French-Canadian wife, I get to enjoy the best maple syrup you'll ever taste. :)
Ah yes this is completely true, I love my igloo, its quite big and very clean! I have 57 local Tim's. My mom says drinking too much syrup is bad for my health so I put a drop or two of healthy water in my maple syrup, that way I can keep drinking it! I have 2 polar bears, 3 mooses and 1 beaver, he keeps running around our wood. Oh yeah by wood, I mean we're lumberjacks, we have a whole collection of lumberjacks jackets.
An issue I have with this: Canadians say sorry so much it’s within our laws that if someone says “sorry” they’re not immediately claiming guilt or accountability if they, for example, got into a car accident. We still say sorry a lot, but we’d also drop our gloves and sock ya right in the kisser if ya being a downright hoser.
"High 70s - low 80s" being anywhere near "hot" will get you laughed at by anyone with actual heat, such as those of us in Texas. It's not even "warm" if you're talking about it being the recorded high on any date falling from May 1 - September 30. But yeah, I tend to do #3 a whole lot and my mom's Canadian dialysis nurse always ribbed me about being secretly Canadian.
"I'm not smoking, I'm breathing" : XD that was gold. but yeah... I sometimes like to pretend I'm smoking in the winter myself :p I had a teacher once tell us about this one time on a cruise where apparently she drove her American friends crazy saying "eh" at the end of every other sentence
It's funny hearing about the "eh" at the end of sentences, cause in Scotland, primarily in the east, some folk will say "ken" at the end. For similar reasons.
While we don't have pet polar bears, moose or beavers, many of us do own at least one North American House Hippo.

Matt Thornton it's because it's Canada Day
Paul Allan Ouais Tabarnak de criss
Dr Manhattan and Silver Surfer: The Matter Bosses Germans would be authoritarian and stick to the rules.
Paul Allan And being fucked and murdered by immigrants.
I live in Quebec and believe there is so many people who love maple syrup
Zyclon X Damn right, but... what are they jealous of?... eh?
Lucid u r right I am Canadian and thus aid is wrong
So true Good sir
GoldNinja same
@Katelyn Weber I forgot what this video's about, cuz it's been 3 years... they probably changed the title of the video huh
5". 1500lbs? try 7" and 2400lbs
CANADA IS NOT ALWAYS COLD
IT'S SUMMER HERE AND IT'S SOOOOO HOT
#10 is true. You'll never see a dead Tim Hortons anywhere in Canada.
The first professional hockey game was played at the duquesne gardens arena in Pittsburgh.
It's true, we say sorry more, but we don't apologize more. Sorry can mean either excuse me (after bumping into someone), excuse me (when asking someone to repeat something) or just sorry when apologizing
Yes I'm Canadian and we play a lot of football too
CFL's the better game. 3 downs and our balls are bigger. :)
Football like American football or the football like this ⚽.
And hockey
When they said "football" in the video they were referring to soccer, not CFL type football.
Happy Canada Day!
It's actually Canada D-eh
I'm Canadian we do not live like lumberjacks
Yes you do
Osmil Oe no we don't
Oh yes you do
Osmil Oe nope
Yep :D
"Canada's cold"
well no duh now you're just spitting facts
theres a reason why our stereotypes are so big, we are proud of our heritage
When someone talks about Canada and isn’t even Canadian
Killlllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
WatchMojo is based in Montréal, Québec.
I can vouch for the one about us not being totally Polite or Apologetic. I have had to deal with some of the Most Impolite Canadian Jackasses to know that one - eh!
4:20 when you know your mom is about to smack you
iStriveG - relatable
Also, That Timestamp Though. XD
4:20 is when we get high.
My dad drank a whole bottle of maple syrup to prove how much he loves it
I'm not even gonna lie I was drinking a Tim Hortons coffee while I watched this. Canadians assemble.
The standard of Timms coffee has dropped though, not as good as before.
I got a pet polar bear, I just took it for a walk
When I was Younger I had a Black Lab (Dog) and also for a limited time a ("Japanese Fighting Fish") /none of the Other Animals mentioned in the List. and what is true though I have Put ("Maple Syrup") in several of my Meals when I make them gives some extra natural sweetness on Chicken Alfredo or Chicken Teriyaki or even on warm Pizza as examples.
Sometimes it's important to take things in moderation.........that doesn't apply to maple syrup!
It's about time the Mojo team starts shit talking their own country instead of mine!
As far as I know they are Canadian......
That's the joke. WatchMojo is Canadian and they're poking fun at all of us who call Canada home. These are meant to make you laugh because they're not true at all which all us Canadians know.
Oh dear you really are quite thick. Ever wonder why all the WatchMojo narrators have Canadian accents?? Chuckle chuckle.
Maser209 they are Canadian
Thraith, Wait..... they are systematically disproving these stereotypes. How are they poking fan at anything other than people who think these things are true?
Lacrosse is actually our national sport, not hockey (although not too many people play lacrosse)
Lacrosse is the national summer sport of Canada while ice hockey is the national winter sport.
I always find it funny when people say its always winter in Canada. In Canada today it's July 4th 2018 and here where I am its 32 degrees Celsius (or 89 degrees Fahrenheit) inside my house!
All Canadians say "eh" like it's nothing! 😂😂
Thats not right eh?
Nooooooooo
Sorry was I to harsh
It’s still the best country on earth eh?
It's not as bad as the American (USA) stereotype
Jack Waters ain't that the truth
Blacque Jacques Shellacque,
I've been to America and their not all the same as the rest of the world.
Plz don't kill me
Paul Allan ey I am not quick to anger I will admit my accent is funny but funny in a good way
"We are all fat"
"We are mostly rich"
The Tim Horton’s thing is 100% true, I live near an intersection with 3 Tim Horton’s.
They gave us Justin Beaver
your welcome.
lol
But we also gave you Jim Carrey so it balance
I love Jim
and chris hadfield.
I'M CANADIAN
Joselyn Lawrence ME TOO
150th Canada day
Ah yes this is completely true, I love my igloo, its quite big and very clean!
I love Tim hortons I can't go a month without Tim's 😉
I think they messed up on the title
I'm Canadian
RedDragon Gaming same
Joselyn Lawrence same and happy Canada day

In my experience, Canadians are very nice people. I'm actually kinda offended at this video. Plus I haven't heard of any of these stereotypes...
"I'm not smoking, I'm breathing" : XD that was gold. but yeah... I sometimes like to pretend I'm smoking in the winter myself :p
I had a teacher once tell us about this one time on a cruise where apparently she drove her American friends crazy saying "eh" at the end of every other sentence
Video:
“Mysterious people of the great white North”
My as a Canadian:
Sitting on the couch drinking a Coca Cola bingeing TH-cam
It's funny hearing about the "eh" at the end of sentences, cause in Scotland, primarily in the east, some folk will say "ken" at the end. For similar reasons.
im canadian and me do all have poler bears, moose, beavers in our house as pets
I'm Canadian but this is still funny
