Matt - setting durability aside, do you feel that you’ll have enough time between races to gain fitness and improve your marathon PR? Trying to gauge how many quality sessions you’ll realistically be able to complete between recovery and tapering for the next race.
Each marathon in itself is obviously a huge training stimulus, I seem to recover pretty well in about 4-6 days from the most recent marathons, there’s obviously no fitness lost in this time after a marathon.. I don’t see losing fitness being an issue but getting injured would be the biggest risk to this
You make a lot of videos about your own training, but I would like you to release videos of top athletes' training as you did before. That's what I look forward to.
Would you be interested in sponsoring the cost of the workout videos with professionals? We would love to make this collaboration happen. Each video has a cost on average of $1300 in travel expenses not including paying the videographer which typically adds to total $2200-2500/video. We have had a difficult time finding consistent sponsors for these videos hence why there has been less lately. It sounds like you might be more interested in seeing these videos than brand sponsors, so can we make a deal happen?
@@sweatelite Thank you for your reply. I understood the situation. However, the channel description states the following. 【Curious about how the world's best athletes train and prepare for competition? We're here to share their insights.】 I look forward to your videos in the future.
a 2:15 isn't a top athlete? wtf, this guy is a walking experiment for breaking marathon prep status quo and im paying attention to everything like a nerd and hope he keeps going
I'm kinda glad someone finally commented this, been thinking it for a while but wasn't sure how to gracefully bring it up and every other commenter has seemed happy to just watch Matt's updates. I originally subscribed in the early days because of the fantastic, no frills coverage of many elite and even sub-elite runners but that seems to have fallen off the main mission of the channel. Totally get that there's cost involved as mentioned above, but it would be cool if the channel owners addressed this pivot in a more formal way (unless maybe I missed a video on this topic?) Don't get me wrong, it's still enjoyable checking in on how Matt is doing occasionally and I'm not unsubscribing but tbh I turned off notifications for the channel a while ago
It will be fun following your 2025 year with this new approach. Copenhagen have a really nice marathon in May, its a flat course but maybe abit on the warm side at that time of year, you probably know about it already.
That cherry berry mix from Aldi is the best I make my smoothies the same way for the last 4 years. The protien mix from Aldi is also great and has creatine in it also. I add some orange juice , good belly probiotics, coconut water, spinach, banana, whole milk greek yogurt, beet powder, and turmeric to kick up the recovery. Great video can't wait for all the awesome content in 2025! 💯🏅💯
You can't balance that amount of racing marathons with the training blocks and recovery needed to get a 2.15....you also need to hit around a low 64 half as well if 2.15 is the goal, better focus on 2 marathons
Ballarat would be amazing, thank you, Matt 💪👏🫶 So many doubters here! I reckon this only drives the man more 👏👏👏 And let's face it, that’s what we're here for! Let's GO 2025 🙌🫶🙌🫶

I agree, This is why i subscribed in the first place.

Copenhagen is a great choice
This will be great damn
Would be epic if you ran Ballarat Matt! Ran the half last year, It's a nice flat course and the weather is usually ideal at that time of year.
Go for Gold 🔥🔥🥇

Try Copenhagen in May! Great flat & fast course, great crowds - beautiful city
It’s a great option for sure
Love Yuki! The people's champ!
When you do the strides are you doing road running or sprint form?
Oh nice…I run grandma’s seemingly every year. Good race.
Will all these marathons be all-out PB attempts?
Do you take creatine daily or is it just for post hard workout?
Daily
While I would like to see you set a new half PR I have to say this provides more motivation to me, lol
I’m hoping I can throw in a half as well at some point
See you at Grandma's! It will be my first.

That’s a strong opinion that it’s not possible. How come? Because it’s not done often? It’s also not tried often. Yuki got to 2:07 doing this…
Tell that to Yuki!!!!
@@jameschaves5723 he ain't Yuki!
@@vondutchman he’s also not trying to run 2:07. Why you being a Duche?
@@sweatelite well he is one in a million but hey go for it and good luck. Why do you think it's not a done thing 🤔🤔
