Girl🙄🙄🙄 its literally a mix of insecurity and boredom. They have NOTHING better to do. Could be reading a good book, could be eating ice cream and watching looney tunes. Nah, wakes up and pretends to have personal issues with people who've done nothing to them. I have multiple relatives guilty of this. It's exhausting 🤦🏿‍♀️

Hi. I agree and I'm sorry you're seeing that in your relatives. You can't win with anyone who thinks that their win means treating everyone else as losers. I've met people who think they're better than everyone else and don't see doing anything that could lead to personal growth as worthwhile. The examples you give with books and cartoons are excellent. Why would someone who sees no reason to grow as a person consume media that could lead to them relating to what someone else is going through? It could be way more fun for them to read books or watch cartoons, but they don't bother. I was friends with someone like that in high school and when the dust settled I saw the whole person then had to walk away. I hope that you find yourself in the company of people who can treat you well and grow with you. Thank you.

I just lost two friends because I just wouldn’t let them continue to belittle me and treat me like garbage. I just don’t have the time or interest to be their figurative punching bag because they are too insecure to be rocking their own power.

Then you did not lose friends, you lost enemies. Congratulations on that🎉
May you fill the holes that they dug in you with happiness, joy, and anything else that you want that actually makes you happy that’s healthy .

@@Handle70770 thank you!! I was surprised how much it hurt even when I knew it was a healthy move to walk away. We had shared an awful lot together.
But I realized I had more friends who wouldn’t treat me that way. And decided they would be a better option.

I recently had to too do the same I have a giant heart I knew she was going through some things but I figured that she'd been yarning for a ear of a friend but she was belittle when life comes down on her.. literally her own karma spanking her she would just take it out in me and I would try to direct her to God(she's Muslim, so I'd tell her to read the Quran) and get closer to Allah she'd just push me away smh it's crazy how people are spiritually lost it's scary out here God knows it

I was distancing myself from this work “friend” because she would yell at me and belittle me. She noticed I was distancing myself and was like “I’m insecure” like it’s an excuse. Now she won’t leave me alone.

One of my work friends distanced herself from me and then realized that I just shrugged and moved on with my life. And got mad when she realized I continued to have a life outside of her.

I read an interesting quote from Angelina Jolie today: "some of us are born just a little bit on fire". I think you are one of these people and therefore this treatment that you have to endure will be never ending. Karma does not stop these people, I have seen it come back around tenfold and they behave as if they've learned nothing. 🤷

Usually how I handle my insecurity is to try to talk directly about it. Like I’ll just go up to the person and be like “hey that thing you said made me feel kind of insecure. Did you mean me specifically?” Or something to that effect. Usually helps dispel things.

That's how a level-headed, mature person would go about it.

I listened instead of watched just now because the pacing wrecks my anxiety. Your words made even more sense than usual. You are so right about it all. The insecurities, the targeting, it's all based in narcissism.

It shocking to me to learn those people actually existed. They'll literally go out of their way to end you if they feel that your some sort of competition to them. That's no joke, they'll do anything they can to turn everyone against you, to ruin your life. Shady shady people.

Exactly and now it's the reason why I have trust issues and I admit to people how I envy them when they have the support from loved ones when my husband and I don't. It hurts to admit it but hopefully others appreciate it and open their eyes to not take advantage of their loved ones.

I hate to see you looking so distressed. I'm sorry for whatever it is you're going through because of this person and others like them.
I have experienced much of the same as well from a number of people who ruin everything good happening for themselves through their own insecurities and then take it out on anyone else around who's unfortunate enough to be too close to them.
    It's like a mental illness.
But, for all their bluster, they really can't hurt you if you can keep them at a distance and don't fw them at all.
One thing you can always count on with the perennially insecure is they are always the architects of their own destruction.

I saw the title of the video and thought, oh no you just saw Inside Out 2 didn't you...
After actually listening to the rant I can see that it is not about that, but ANYWAY if you haven't seen Inside Out 2 yet and plan to see it then, good luck!

I understand what you were trying to get across but I don’t think you communicated your point well. I think you're conflating deep seated insecurities with Narcissism. Narcissists are definitely insecure but not everyone whos insecure is a Narcissist. And yes, in the beginning of the video you said "we all have insecurities" but i feel like thats you saying "its okay to have small, surface level insecurities but if you have deep seated insecurities you're dangerous."
TO BE CLEAR: I do not at all think this is what you intended to say. But it is how it came across, at least to me. If im alone in that opinion, im sure the comment section will let me know. I just felt like I need to say this.

You can’t claim to care about mental health issues and then diagnose everyone you don’t like with NPD. I’m sorry, but you either have to own your sanism or stop calling other people narcissists. You can’t do both.
