I actually loved the movie bcoz of everything, be it Shah Rukh,Anushka, Imtiaz Ali, Music, Screenplay, Editing & so I love it.
The only issue in the movie is STORY.
The story revolving just around a searching a ring annoyed some audience & Critics & bad word of mouth, which took the movie's due for everything else good in movie.
If Imtiaz Ali had worked better on the storyline, it could had been a potential hit.
But it missed the bullseye.
1.8 million at 12:15...and now trailer is at 4.4 million at 3:30....ohhh man srk.. thts worlds biggest star for u

Agreed. One of my favorite “romcoms” (which I don’t usually like) and one of my favorite SRK films (though I have many 😁). Its odd this wasn’t a hit. I can’t help imagine it will pick up steam as a sleeper cult hit.
They took the idea as well as name from "when Harry met Sally".
Copying something successful is a good idea cause you don't have to spend money in writing and it's less risky cause people already loved the idea of the movie

@@ashwinidixit5981 Um, I HAVE seen When Harry Met Sally. A few times actually. And I’m aware of how famous it was / is. And neither here nor there, I never really liked it. I didn’t like the Billy Crystal character or the Sally character that much and didn’t like her ending up with him.
This movie’s title is a play on the title of that movie but that’s it. There nothing else the two movies share in common at all except for being a “romcom”. So I don’t see where you’re coming from. This movie isn’t a remake of that at all. I don’t know how anyone could compare the two except for the titles.
Also, I’m aware of the practice of using other films to create new ones, remakes, etc. Hollywood films do that with films from other countries too and remakes of their own. Many Bollywood “remakes” of western films and even their own are often so fresh and different, they’re sometimes better or at least different enough than the original which is nice to see as a viewer. But again, that’s not what was done with this movie. UNLESS it’s a remake of some other movie, but When Harry Met Sally isn’t it.

Additionally , it deals with every immigrant 's story in Europe : The fight for bare minimum abstinence , the pangs of loneliness in a foreign country , a criticism of modern day relationships , more importantly : the angst of 20's ...

I don't understand why some people didn't like the movie, it definitely had a story and the acting, chemistry was really on point. I guess the Indian audience wants to see the same things happening again and again. It is not a typical bollywood movie where hero & heroine are flawless but it has so much to tell if you can relate with the characters. All you need to see that they were both in search of the thing that will fill the space in their souls, and this movie reflected it very well.

Indian audiences did not like this movie. I don't know why. This movie is not just about finding a ring it's more than that. This is my favorite movie. I was in my 5th standard when this movie was released. There was a channel on tata sky that showed this movie for the whole day after every 1 hour. I saw this movie alone and I don't know why I liked this movie so much. And the songs in this movie,ohoooooooooo!. They are the besttt. This movie is a combination of everything. This movie has got romance, comedy, loneliness, very heavy emotions. And the acting of Anushka and srk omg, class! I literally love each and every song of this movie. It is a masterpiece. I have watched this movie over 10 times! I know every dialogue of this movie. Every day I listen to the songs of this movie and recall a few scenes of this movie. Fabulous!
