@@wolfofdiscord7092 You mean for the Idw comics and the reboot comics or back when he was still doing the pre reboot Comics cause pseudo Sonic was canonically dead from being killed off in a earlier issue by the time he took over pre reboot?

If we’re bringing in Grimer from Fleetway into this, he helped the good doctor conceive an improved Robo Sonic design for Mecha Sonic Mk II and then Metal Sonic with the latter having stomped Eggman for a while regarding how to make a power unit for it until ol’ Grimer solved the issue by creating a more compact unit that can fit in Metal’s much more streamlined bodyframe. As a person with bad taste (I really like Silver Sonic), I personally like Pseudo-Sonic. I think the chunky limbs, fat nose and whole generic-metalness of his design makes him really charming.
Last year I called silver sonic a goblin but no this is the real goblin sonic. At least it can say it’s the only sonic robot to use a grenade… it’s a weird robot but I don’t hate it. It’s served it’s purpose well.
A.O.S.T.H's Eggman/Robotnik is the most logical once you think of it. Instead of making an entirely new design he just straight up made Sonic. (With a big nose) So if he wanted to frame Sonic he could could so if he wanted to.
Pseudo just orders whatever the robot equivalent to drinking milk at a bar is as Sonic 3's Mecha just slowly turns over to him in utter, expressionless disgust
Man, this was a blast from the past. I had the original Pseudo-sonic issue as well as the anniversary issue where he shows back up. It was goofy but it was perfect for Archie because of how silly it was. I’m glad that Mecha March Madness is still happening, and I hope we eventually get a video abut the E-100 series. They’re probably my favorite since they’re a nice mix of classic sonic badniks and the newer enemy grunts. The Archie comics, the IDW comics, and the games like Sonic Adventure or sonic battle/Sonic Advance really made them special and I’m glad they eventually led to the development of Omega and Emerl/Gemerl. Thanks!

Nice to get the first Mecha march madness video and whole 2/3 through March. Still happy to see you talking about pseudo sonic, I always like his design for some reason.
Pseudo-Sonic is incredibly underrated imo, I've always liked his design considering it was the most accurate to sonic's design of aosth and the fact that it was actually piloted by someone. That being said i actually have an official piece of production art of Psuedo himself from Adventures.

As usual, I am laughing like a maniac at your jokes, as well as really enjoying all of the new information in here. Your animated facial expressions really put the cap on it. And the last-minute stinger killed me.
I think I remember Ian or someone saying this story was sitting in the archives waiting to be printed when he arrived. So after Archie changed the staff, they decided to print the leftover stories from the old guard.
_Never_ heard of him, but man. He's kinda cute because of his overall roundness Kinda the opposite of almost every other Sonic robot, also. Kudos for the silent p bit, you did it very well
NGL, I kinda love this horrible design because it's just so hilarious and meme-able. He looks a naughty kid trying to look tough and intimidating. He also has a bit of an ugly-cute thing going. I can just see a meme with a caption like "when you tell the babysitter your mom lets you have 2 donuts when she really only lets you have 1" and then just Pseudo-Sonic with his he-he-he face.
i can image the us gov. just going "fuckin, make a robot sonic so we can kill him because its funny" and so they make this, and hes literally senator armstrong, but fast.
It's hilarious to just be listening to Sonic Mania's Stardust Speedway Boss theme casually, only to pause it to watch a Game Apologist video that plays the same thing at the start. XD It's a true bop. :D Pseudo-Sonic is a weird one. He's literally got the same exactly body and design of Sonic, but all metal, bulky, and a weird face with a big nose and sharp teeth to remind you he's an evil doppelganger robot. I mean, he DOES resemble a slightly altered version of the classic Sonic design on the box art of the first few games with the circle head and shark-fin quills and such. Also, 1:08 that "Pseudo Mickey" is basically a Mickey from a cartoon short where he turns into a monster (I forgot how or what the short's called), but it seems like someone bootlegged it as merch. To me, Pseudo-Sonic, with a few touch-ups, would be perfect way to frame the real Sonic for crimes and horrible actions, much more fitting than people thinking Shadow was Sonic in Sonic Adventure 2, in my opinion. But, you would be able to tell something was off, like "Faker Sonic/EXE" a fanmade Sonic.exe that imitates Sonic, but pretty unsettling in it's first form. He's like a Bizzaro Superman. He's MEANT to be weird and somewhat the opposite of Sonic. He's not my favorite, but an interesting Sonic Robot nonetheless. P.S. I love that little joke you snuck at the end of the video. That's a classic. 🤣
Oh hey, this is random but...literally just a day or so ago before you posted this video I posted a video where I made a custom of Sash Lilac, and mentioned how Freedom Planet was made in a "pseudo Sonic style" and felt the need to disambiguate with this character. It doesn't mean anything but I find it funny that I mentioned Pseudo Sonic right before you made a full on video about him.
Fun fact extra life sonic from fleetway was in comic where he framed sonic for crimes that he didn’t commit and think scrouge did it to with anti freedom fighters so which came first?
this actually reminds me, nick, have you seen the modern version of pseudo sonic drawn by Ben Bates? his version of the character looks fantastic, i think you would like it!
1:08 I'm sorry if this ruins the appeal, but the reason Mickey looks so evil and feral here is because this is clearly inspired by the Mickey Short "The Runaway Brain", where he gets bodyswapped with a feral monster version of Pete.
Keep up the great work, I am loving your content! Two suggestions if you delve into the world of Fleetway's Sonic the Comic: Cyborg-Tails (or whatever he was called) from issue 2, or my squirrel mecha boy, Shortfuse the Cybernik! (Okay, yeah, Brotherhood of Metallix ought to come before both of those, but I'm assuming those boys are on the list already)
That "Pseudo Mickey Mouse Knock Off" is actually brain-swapped Mickey from the '95 short "Runaway Brain" -- While likely a knock off toy, its based on a real character, and possibly based on a limited run or cancelled toy meant to reference that short (which may have run in theaters in the '90's before hitting the Disney channel).
I liked Pseudo Sonic! He was as if someone made a fully functional Sonic Gundam suit, or even the BGY-11 aka The Big Guy from Big Guy and Rusty the Boy Robot.
Game Apologes, I can agree with you as I first saw this prototype. Sonic on the cartoon but I was old enough to know that this was a unfortunate victim of Metals popularity.
Fanon: eldritch nightmare abomination who hungers for human souls. Game canon: Robotnik ran out of stuff to throw at Sonic and this is a last-ditch attempt to trick him. Comic canon: extremely dangerous nanobot-manipulating infiltration drone.

It also means he wouldn't have to worry about the robot itself betraying him.
I don't really like pseudo-sonic but I love the chaos of adventures of sonic the hedgehog.
Never would of guessed that the one constant with Pseudo Sonic stories is Sonic running into flowers that make him swell up like a balloon.
Psudo-sonic is the guy who gets bullied at the Sonic Robot Club for bringing non-salted potato chips
Thanks!
As someone who saw every single episode of Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog, and overall enjoyed the experience for the Acidwash, hell nightmare it was. Even I forgot about this stupid thing until I saw the thumbnail.
Also, yes. Please do Rocket Metal Sonic. I love him.

Sometimes the best kind of bootlegs are the ones that come from (kind of) official media. Who needs Harry Potter Obama when you have pseudo-Sonic?
Okay, I'll take Harry Potter Obama any day. Great content as always, Nick
I think that bootleg Mickey you showed at the begining is based on the Mickey from the 1995 short Runaway Brain.
Yep. I’m pretty sure it is, and if so your comment should be pinned
I love how Nick has brought up the SATAM cheetah like 5 or 6 times. Really building up to that video. Never in my life did I think I’d watch, let alone want to watch a video on the one-off SATAM cheetah😂😂. Only Nick could make me that excited for something so insignificant
Sonic: Who are you?
Pseudo sonic: I'm you but weaker.
1:09 That deranged Mickey Mouse bootleg is based on a disney short film called "Runaway Brain"
As usual, I am laughing like a maniac at your jokes, as well as really enjoying all of the new information in here. Your animated facial expressions really put the cap on it. And the last-minute stinger killed me.
this is a pleasant day to see you upload. It's my birthday today, and this is a pretty good birthday present
Tails using static shock to kill the robot actually a pretty interesting idea. Maybe they should do more with that idea in feuture
I think I remember Ian or someone saying this story was sitting in the archives waiting to be printed when he arrived. So after Archie changed the staff, they decided to print the leftover stories from the old guard.
I have never heard of this guy, but this was a really interesting story! Thanks for sharing it, Nick!
_Never_ heard of him, but man. He's kinda cute because of his overall roundness
Kinda the opposite of almost every other Sonic robot, also. Kudos for the silent p bit, you did it very well
Clunky relatively low-fi design but it seems to work as a direct sonic translation.
I like this.
My phone started this in my pocket and I have been waiting for this series to come back
Actually, Pseudo-Sonic is going to be the main villan of Sonic Frontiers
How do you know? The game is already out and there was no sign of him.

Metal sonic: who the living hell are you!?
Pseudo sonic: I’m you..but uglier
LOVED THIS SERIES! Great to see this back.
You know my one take-away from this?
I should go and play Klonoa again, man I miss that series...
I love this sonic bot way more than I should

Sonic as a cop also happened in an arcade game called “Waku Waku Sonic patrol car”
Oh man, hearing that AoStH music after so many years is super nostalgic!
56th I love this channel, he inspired me to created my one sonic video, I'll make more but thank you for inspiring me!

Pseudo Sonic is strange as hell but I still like it for some reason
Glad to see people still remember this weird robot sonic :)
i can image the us gov. just going "fuckin, make a robot sonic so we can kill him because its funny" and so they make this, and hes literally senator armstrong, but fast.
Why is Antoine guarding... a SECRET entrance?!
At first time I’m here within a minute of it coming out
It's hilarious to just be listening to Sonic Mania's Stardust Speedway Boss theme casually, only to pause it to watch a Game Apologist video that plays the same thing at the start. XD
It's a true bop. :D
Pseudo-Sonic is a weird one.
One of my favorite channels
That video was great, I never even knew Psuedo-Sonic was a thing haha
Seeing Nick talk about AOSTH is one of my dreams come true
Pseudo Sonic: *exists*
This Guy: “Is a Silent P even legal?”
1:01 okay i will be honest, he looks so silly for some reason and i love it so much
"That guess is as stretchy as a Werehog arm" is a really good line, Imma use it!
We need a Episode on Rocket metal
6:13
Yes thank you for appreciating me
This is the first time it happened dont shame me
Fun fact extra life sonic from fleetway was in comic where he framed sonic for crimes that he didn’t commit and think scrouge did it to with anti freedom fighters so which came first?
Pseudo Sonic appeared a couple months before extra life.
this actually reminds me, nick, have you seen the modern version of pseudo sonic drawn by Ben Bates? his version of the character looks fantastic, i think you would like it!
ITS FINALLY HERE!!!
1:08 I'm sorry if this ruins the appeal, but the reason Mickey looks so evil and feral here is because this is clearly inspired by the Mickey Short "The Runaway Brain", where he gets bodyswapped with a feral monster version of Pete.
thank you for continue this series
"Sir speedy mchogg dog." -Game apologist
Keep up the great work, I am loving your content!
Two suggestions if you delve into the world of Fleetway's Sonic the Comic: Cyborg-Tails (or whatever he was called) from issue 2, or my squirrel mecha boy, Shortfuse the Cybernik!
(Okay, yeah, Brotherhood of Metallix ought to come before both of those, but I'm assuming those boys are on the list already)
Never forget the pseudo sonic from Sonic Xs comic who is just classic sonic
I wonder what Nick’s opinions on creepypasta Tails Doll are?
EDIT: I’m a sucker for the guy, he’s why I love the canon Tails Doll in the first place
Fanon: eldritch nightmare abomination who hungers for human souls.
Game canon: Robotnik ran out of stuff to throw at Sonic and this is a last-ditch attempt to trick him.
Comic canon: extremely dangerous nanobot-manipulating infiltration drone.
@@Blackheartzero I love how it’s just like “I’m out of ideas, here’s a doll”
The time has come to test your metal.
I was missing his issue of archie comics so i ended up buying it via ebay last year... lord it was not cheap but god he has that "so ugly its charming" kinda feel xD
I mean, Eggman makes all sorts of piloted mechs. They're just all ones that he pilots.
