    People need to remember she's a 4x grand slam champ. Shes been to the finals of a grand slam 4x and WON all 4x. Something not a lot of top players have been able to do. She took time away because she was growing a whole human. The fact that she's already back to playing at an elite level is so fun and speaks to both her work ethic, athleticism, etc. Go Naomi!!

    It's certainly not a coincidence that Naomi is winning against better and better players. Samsonova, Kostuck and Kasatkina are very solid players who can beat the best. And for sure, Naomi hasn't said the last word in this tournament yet, a semi-final against Iga? Why not.

    • @einarsd4

      Kostyuk played poorly and so did Kasatkina. Kasatkina didn't serve like she is able to. Kostyuk 1st serve percentage was super low, Kasatkina kept repeating Kostyuk's mistakes and deservedly lost this match. It didn't look like that Kasatkina was learned from Kostyuk's mistakes.

      @@STRAWYB You are delusional. Osaka did play good, but she won mainly because of Kasatkina's weak serves, returns and mentality. Kasatkina repeated Kostyuk's mistakes. Since Kasatkina is one of the best clay court players, I expected more from her. I expected that she would win against Osaka, since her clay court skills are much better than Osaka's.

    • @einarsd4
      @einarsd4 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      @@notis6107 Clay always have been Osaka's weakest surface. Osaka never been particularly successful on clay court tournaments. Only 3 Quarter-Finals on clay for Osaka. Her only strong surface is hard courts. Kasatkina really played poorly. I am not denying that Osaka played great, but you ignored the fact that Kasatkina gave so many chances to Osaka. Also Kostyuk did the same.

    Naomi found the best return position.
    In the past, she preferred to attack flat from near the baseline on clay courts, just like on hard courts, but her half-hearted attacks were not a good strategy as her opponents would counter them.
    But she found that she was better positioned behind the baseline and hit heavier shots with more spin.
    As a result, the number of winners has increased while the number of mistakes has been dramatically reduced.

    I've subscribed and really appreciate these highlights. But, a few words of advice: Most of the viewers are probably present or former competitive tennis players or serious fans. What we want to know is how a match was won or lost. We don't need to see the longest points, or the flashiest/trick shots. If you only have five minutes of highlights per match, then please show all of the successful break points and the last four points of a tie-breaker (if any). If there is a deciding-set tie breaker, then just show that in entirety and skip the previous content. Thanks again.

    I surmise that no one should underestimate the power, performance and efficiency of Naomi Osaka on the clay surface. This swift enhancement is roundly pinpointed with her efforts and tenacity. I am confident that she will perpetuate her vast superiority and steadiness on this surface. Hence, she will be more assertive and solid with her advancement.

    If Dasha wants to stay that far back, she has got to find a more consistent depth.She can't let these big hitters get on the front foot for free.The habit of finishing that forehand over her right shoulder instead of left specially when moving is catching her out time and time again as its consistently dropping short.Her hands are so good I don't get why she loves it back there so much 😂.Just my opinion, I hope dasha breaks that top ten again soon .

    It's fascinating how miserable she was playing on clay, losing and getting depressed over post-match interviews.
    Went and had a baby and realised playing tennis and doing what she loves is actually a privilege and now she is enjoying it, win or lose.

    I'm glad to see Daria shook Naomi's hand at the end of the match, at one time she wasn't shaking hands? I never knew why, guess it's behind her now.

      You sure that was Daria? I've never seen her not shake her opponents hand or heard about her doing that. Are you thinking of Marta K?
