faxxxxx, i got 4 airpods pro stolen from me at my school, at this point i cant afford any more, so im just going in with airpods 1st gen. I'm also tryna keep the fact that 4 airpods got stolen a secret from my parents.
I actually found a pair of AirPod pros and went to my Apple Store to see if there was a way I could return them to the owner. I was told there wasn’t anything I or they could do to find the original owner so the best thing for me to do would be to reset them.
Today I lost my AirPods … I later tracked my AirPods and I got the address of the founder. I went to his home and told him that I had lost my AirPods and now I could find the exact location… he just refused to give my AirPods back. I could still find the location at his home and he was sure about it too but he just refused to give it back…. Please suggest where to report this man. He still has my AirPods.

I found someone’s AirPods and I activated them inside of my van. I assume they were notified of the exact location. But they didn’t knock on my door to ask for them instead they graffitied my van 😡 So I took them back to where I found them. Maybe have a friend go tag their car or house with graffiti and they’ll take the AirPods back to where they found them 😂

Just a quick recap…… soooo I ended up telling security about my stolen device ( I was too scared confronting her on my own face to face on the job. Didn’t want to cause a scene) and security ended up calling loss prevention. Loss prevention got involved and it ended up being a investigation. That very same day I told the security at the job, was the very same day she got fired. I got my pods back and my charger back. During the investigation I was honest with them and said that I went to the location and I saw it was someone who I know works in the building. So because they knew that I have already seen the face, they ask me for the address. They looked it up in their system and they show me the amazon ID pic of her. I said “yes that’s her”. I didn’t know she was going to get fired😬. I just thought she will get written up but nope. Amazon don’t waste time. When they called her down, they made sure I wasn’t there. And I am grateful they did that because I don’t want her seeing me even tho she have no idea who she stole from. All jokes aside I am not ever bringing my pods in the warehouse again. I recently bought a $5 wired earbuds and that will be the one I will be taking to work. Not risking my pods being stolen again in that massive huge building that have over 3k people working there. The next day I asked why they fired her and they said they don’t allow thieves in their building and that if she can steal from you, then she can definitely steal from the company and that they are not risking that. So they had to let her go
My AirPod were stolen I can see the location where the thief has it. They live two houses down my road. I put them into lost mode (I don’t think they factory reset since I can still the location of it) can they still use it? And should I confront them? I don’t think that if you don’t delete them from you iCloud account the stolen AirPod can’t be reset. It can be used but they can have the find my device option
You’re right, if you don’t remove the stolen AirPods from your iCloud account, they can’t be reset by the thief. They might still be able to use them, but the 'Find My' feature will help you track them. It’s a good idea to report the theft to Apple and provide them with the serial number.
