Let's share some basic information of combustion engine..
Since the engine has fuel pump which is nothing but a combination of components such as plunger barrel (many more components inside but for time being keep it as simple as possible)
The fuel which has to be ignited is ignited through fuel pump and then to fuel injectors...
The fuel which has sulphur which has lubricity property.. This prevents seizure of fuel pump plunger barrel..
Now considering we are on BS6 which restricts the usage of sulphur percentage in fuel to decrease formation of sulphur dioxide from exhaust gases... So the fuel sulphur content is being reduced for pollution thing but we are somehow reducing lubrication of fuel pump plunger barrel...
To compensate that addititives are added to fuel...
Just a kind advice... If you have little less knowledge of something or not sure about something which is technical.. Better not to misguide viewers...
