The PM1236T is fantastic. If you can spend an extra 500 dollars, you should look at the PM1340GT. Its the commercial grade version of the 1236T. Its slightly bigger. I'm not complaining about mine. As a hobbyist the PM1236T ultra precision lathe is perfect for my needs.
