Hi Dan! I remember watching this when it first came out! Im just looking again comparing your rhodonite finds to the ones i found in Massachusetts! Yours have alot more color variations and Manganese running through them. The ones i found in my video are mostly a solid pink with some darker pinks. Super interesting!! I would love to come out there one day and help you smash some more Manganese rocks for ya and get some amazing finds!

If you get the chance go up on top of pudding head mountian from olalla creek and poke around. I have run a bunch of the trails that are on top of the cliffs above your claim and it's amazing old growth timber where the fires didn't burn off everything. The rest of the area was burned off and all the geology is still exposed and accessible through multiple fire roads that are all clean and clear. I found a sulphate deposit up there actually to top it off and a quartz crystal vein full of points and serpentinite

Side note: I've made several chessboards out of wood in my 60+ years on this earth, all of which have ended up being gifts. Got invited to go up hill 60 in Duncan B.C. to a rodonite mine, the trip there was hair raising, steep drop off's on a narrow track, with drops of a 1000.00 ft to the lake below. Get there the mine face is black. On a hot summer day! Withering!! Not much rodonite was found there. My partner and I decided to stop for lunch, and sat down near the edge of the tree's. Looking down. We could see piles of tailings, all covered with moss. Went down to check it out, lots of rodonite. Unfortunately all blast fractured so only good for specimens. Did acquire some prime stuff taken from the same site in the 60's beautiful pink, white, with black filigree. Buddy of mine was gifted a 100 lbs. of premium stuff from the mine. From an old timer.
