He makes dishes that his Pakistani mother makes him and hence, dishes that are popular in Pakistan. Every Pakistani dish has Indian origins. By "newbies" you primarily mean Westerners. Don't worry. They've colonized us enough to know that India and Pakistan used to be one country, and thus, share a lot of food and culture.

      This is not from India and no one knows where it's from, if you studied then you would probably know that Pakistan and India lived in the same country until 1947 and it was invented before the separation. So no one ok knows who originally invented it.

People will unconsciously think that it is a Pakistani dish if they have no knowledge about the dish. See the hilarious reactions of the Italians whenever someone tries to mess with their food 😂😂
