    I really appreciate you two sharing your perspective on how adding more protein has been beneficial for you. Before I started trying, I was getting around 40 grams of protein in an average day on my old, regular vegan diet. I aim for 80-100 grams now and I've already noticed increased hair density and stronger nails. My nails used to chip constantly - it's a little change, but actually a nice quality of life improvement. As always, thanks for the creative meal ideas!

I often scroll and read/engage with comments on videos I watch and … I just wanna say, as one high protein vegan to another who is also on a body recomp journey: I truly appreciate this channel and what y’all are doing here. I appreciate you sharing your journey and creativity. And I love there’s more and more places for different kinds of vegans! Some of us wanna get swole and that’s ok 🤣

    Thanks for showing the plant-based gel dessert! I had no idea this existed and it's just what I need for a simple, low calorie dessert. Have you tried mixing a little protein powder into your yogurt to help flavor it and give a little protein boost? I like using strawberry flavor and it also helps the texture be more pudding-like. Also, have you heard of Chia Smash Jam? I really like it - no added sugar, only 4 whole-food ingredients, and about 25 calories/tbsp. I really appreciate the high-protein, low calorie, plant-based content.
    Your channel helps provide inspiration for foods that fit my needs, which I definitely appreciate. I belong to a recreational dance company, so I train a lot (~8 hrs in studio/week and strength training 2x/week). Consequently, I need high-protein to build and maintain lean muscle while staying plant-based, but I also need to keep the calorie count under control.

    You always have such great ideas on how to maximize protein consumption with the least amount of calories. My biggest problem is that one of your servings is like 2 for me - I just can’t eat that much! But I’m still getting a lot more protein than I used to, so in my eyes, that’s a win!

    Have you ever tried eating at maintenance or slightly above maintenance for a few weeks? I have heard of people doing this after eating low calorie for a long time, and they end up losing weight because it Kickstarts their metabolism. 1400 calories seems so low to me especially if you work out. I feel like you could eat more and still lose.

    I have had the WORST EXPERIENCE EVER from Complement. I ordered on July 1st, and tried your PlantBasedDads code, but it didn’t work, so I used another plant based you tubers code. Then nothing for a week. I reached out and asked why it was Unfulfilled and the CEO said he’d escalate it. Another week goes by and still Unfulfilled. I complained again. Was told it would get here by Friday of LAST week. Finally today, it was delivered and yes, it is 104º in Phoenix, so why the USPS left it in my mail box…. I went to open the package and it smelled like rotting fish and there was black oily residue all over inside the package. I noticed the capsules were black. This was the worst product experience I’ve had. I know it’s not your issue, but I just had to rant when I see so many TH-camrs pushing this product.

    • @PlantBasedDads
      @PlantBasedDads  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      Where in the world did you get that from? We don't have anything to do with Keto. The keto diet is high fat. We are all about higher protein, low fat, lower cals. I would never associate with Keto diet?

    • @lindsaytoussaint
      @lindsaytoussaint 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      This reminds me of when I went grocery shopping with my keto friend (he has a Costco membership so I tagged along!) and I picked up a low-carb wrap He got so excited and asked if I was doing keto now 🤣
      So for the rest of the trip every time he picked up a vegetable or fruit I asked him if he was going vegan lol

    • @Fudgeey
      @Fudgeey 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Just in case you were wondering what the difference was -
      Keto - High fat, moderate protein, 20 grams of carbs per day
      Low Carb - High protein, moderate fat, less than 100 grams of carbs per day
      This meal plan has 187 grams of carbs, so it wouldn't be considered keto nor low carb.

    Okay dads, I know you don't care, however I'm going to unsubscribe from your channel! You have become nothing but a commercial! All you do is push protein, and dalstrong knives, and protein powder and vitamins and now a George Foreman grill and TVP, that's getting ridiculous! And the way that you always say you're a teacher and you don't make a good income ,well I know that you also sell real estate and Tim probably has a pretty good income with his status at a hospital. You guys just aren't the same, and I watched you from day one! I've moved on to people that really want to show recipes, and don't care about the protein content, or selling their products on Amazon. I hope you do well, but this is it for me. Bye dads! 🙋

    • @PlantBasedDads
      @PlantBasedDads  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +9

      Hmmm. We showed a gadget that Tim purchased on Amazon and now we are pushing the George Foreman grill on you? We have no association with anything George Foreman nor are we partners with the TVP agenda people. This is a free channel. There is no membership to purchase like so many others have done. I am not trying to sell you on my 4 cookbooks or monthly food plan. Everything is absolutely free. I have not done Real Estate in years since I became a teacher back in 2020. From the very beginning, this channel has been about my journey to become a vegan and stay vegan. That was the purpose of the channel. To hold myself accountable. I am glad to hear that you have moved on to other people, but your are complaining about a free channel having sponsorship so they can afford to keep making content. If that is a problem, then please, go and make yourself happy. I have put out a new video every week without missing a week since 2020. That is over 4 years now. That commitment does not come easy or cheap. I have chose to have sponsors or product placement to avoid having any costs incurred by you. This is how I can continue to do this job. You may be able to work for free, but I am just not in a position to do that. Good bye, good riddance. I normally don't respond to shit like this, but to complain about a free service is just an entitlement that needs to be called out.
