      Rebecca Koch After that tech took off, I could see something following on its heels for privacy conscious consumers, paying a premium for a grow kit. That way, they buy the scaffolding for the liver and can set its growth in motion themselves, without having to hand off their DNA, which the companies would use to offset their costs, by selling it to other companies for information or whatever other reason.
      Of course, by then laser printed organs would maybe also be a thing. 🤔

      I found one listing using her photos on Amazon and it’s actually touted as “Amazon’s choice.” Jfc. It’s from a company called Artemis Hair, which my husband found out is located in Houston, Texas. I wonder if she can contact them directly? Or even contact a lawyer in the US that doesn’t get paid until you win. I know it’s not getting every seller but it’s something. :/ Could possibly spread word that she’s successfully gone after one company and maybe get others to preemptively take her photos down.

      There's a link for reporting incorrect product information on Amazon. If they can't sell through Amazon then they can't sell. The fact that they are selling using an image that isn't using the product is obviously dishonest.

    About the Amazon vs Ali Express price difference and being worried that they were the same product but Amazon was marking it up significantly. There's a very very real chance the same product listings on Amazon and Ali Express are completely different products using the same photos. If they're scummy enough to use someone's photos without permission, I have no doubt they are scummy enough to send different products out under the same listing. It's actually happened quite a bit with sites like Ali Express and Wish where a company will have one product and multiple completely different listings for it to lure in more customers.
    For example, they may only have a 10×6 notebook but have three listings one for a 9×6 one for a 10×6 and another for an 10×5 and ship their 10×6 regardless of what is actually ordered. Many customers wint care about the slight size difference and just be happy about the low price.
    Take that to an extreme with products like bangs. Maybe you did recieve a high quality product, but that may be luck of the draw and somewhere out there someone's getting a brown cheerleading pom pom cut up to sorta look like bangs.
    That's why your viewers shouldn't buy this product even though your review for it wasn't so harsh. Because there's a good chance the product you bought and the product they will be buying are completely different.

I am now going to write reviews in Amazon on products with your face stating that your face was used without permission. Maybe we as your loyal viewers can help with this issue by respectfully bringing awareness of your situation.

    I don’t understand why you don’t contact Amazon and threaten lawsuit, they HAVE TO stop the seller from selling there. No brainer.

      a) Have you ever tried to do this and succeeded? You act like it's easy and it seems like you think Amazon actually cares. Perhaps you could get the ball rolling and go and report this seller to Amazon and let us know if you recieve a helpful response? My guess is she'd probably need half her subscribers to send complaints before they actually do anything.
      b) She explained that the same seller is selling outside of Amazon as well on even less reputable sites.

    While you are right saying it is better to buy locally, sometimes the stuff you buy locally is also made in China and has been shipped around half the globe so its not necessarily better. Buying local is good but it's best if it's also produced locally. I get its weird to be able to buy this off aliexpress for 1 dollar, the 15 dollar one you buy in your local store might be exactly the same and has also been shipped from China.

    Also there are women in poorer cities, towns and etc in countries in the east that actually get there hair stolen by being grabbed and their hair cut on the streets. My husband has told me this had happened in Vietnam where women from small tribes were cautious about wearing ponytails because people would grab them and chop it off to sell their hair for cheap to sketchy wig companies. A wig company in NYC also brings light to this problem. That’s what I think of when I see these cheap human hair brands. It makes me very sad that people actually purchase these.

    ive done a lot of research about selling products on amazon (FBA selling.) One thing sellers do is they usually buy the product in bulk from Aliexpress or Alibaba (china) for very cheap and rebrand it and sell it for a much higher price on amazon. So most of the time products on amazon come from china. But sometimes sellers do use a manufacturer in the US or somewhere else. Also it's very, very common for them to use pictures either from the manufacturer or online. So i'm not sure if they will do anything about this, especially if the picture is on the manufacturers website. You could probably try messaging the seller directly to remove it. I'm sure they would as they dont want to risk their product getting negative reviews or anything

Most of their workers are happy with their jobs and the same is true with my family. It has a lot of benefits and promotions are easy if you stick with it. Conditions definitely vary depending on where you are.

    You should contact Amazon. It is not ok that your picture is being used without your consent. They are not allowed to do that. We will back you up if there is an issue. Companies dont like it when followers in the thousands say something as well and bring negative image to them. But now that you have made this public, it will get attention and they might do something.

    Even if you were able to get the listings taken down on both Amazon and Ali Express new stores can easily pop up using the same image again. The only real way individuals can make a difference, which you pointed out in the video, is to stop using them all together. I stopped using Amazon after the controversy regarding their working conditions and it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be.

    it's time to hire a LAWYER. If you are an influencer you seriously NEED ONE. See if you can find a pro bono one for this case.

    • @Dorlinedainwen
      @Dorlinedainwen 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Pro bono is rough. We get so many pro bono requests...it would literally mean i work without pay forever. Lawyers deserve pay with the amount of schooling and constant classes they have to take. You can negotiate them only getting paid if you win and they get a percentage of winnings. You can also include legal costs in your suit.
      Would you would for free on super intense research cases? No. Pro bono should be reserved for organizations that really need it like NPOs who rely on donations to help others.

  • @MillsSkits
    @MillsSkits 4 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    Oh, no! I'm sorry this happened to you. Maybe you would have better luck contacting the websites where they're selling the bangs, rather than the company that obviously doesn't care about the law. It would be a lot of work, but maybe they would realize eventually that it was not working to use your image. (Not that that would solve the bigger issues you mentioned at the end, though.)

    • @carveylover
      @carveylover 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    • @MillsSkits
      @MillsSkits 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's such a shame. I feel like some more respectable sites, like Amazon, will respect copyright law, so it's possible that at least Amazon would remove the listing. That's totally true the scammy companies will just sell it elsewhere, though.
