- Big snakes aren't for everyone...but I love them!!! Nothing to fear from a big non-venomous black rat snake and it always fun to see them out in the wild. Herping is a great hobby and doing it while bass fishing is treat. Out for some more spring bass fishing and the lake was alive only a week later with plenty of bass up shallow. I found a bunch of buck bass making beds and I'm sure the big females will be up soon!

Saw tons of bass a few snakeheads paired up in the shallows on Monday. Got a few little guys and one fatty around 3lbs. It’s definitely on👍

I was in the park last Saturday fishing and as soon as I approached the bank, a four foot black snake like the one in your video slithered past me and went up the hill .
