Just to make you jealous’texas’ that u would love to see him live, I have seen him over 150 times since 1984, and have never been disappointed by any performance of jimmy’s, absolute legend👏👏
The other guitarist "Bradley Ernest Whitford" (born February 23, 1952) is an American musician who is best known for serving as the rhythm and co-lead guitarist for the hard rock band Aerosmith for which he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2001. "Arlan Schierbaum" started dabbling with the keyboards at the tender age of three. His parents quickly signed him up for piano lessons the very next year, Arlan Scheierbaum, keyboardist for Joe Bonamassa. "Michael Rhodes" is an American bass player, known for his session work and touring in support of other artists, and his collaborations in bands and ensembles. "Anton Fig "laid down the big beats on Joe Bonamassa's Redemption album. Peace out.
Mate great reaction I love your analogies straight from the heart and the feels and I love that your getting your ear in to our Aussie scene it makes us swell with pride that the rest of the world is catching on to what we all grew up with here and reminisce. Now Deep Purple has a little bit of history with Australia, back in their prime they had a reputation as being the world’s loudest and thought they were going to put it over our Aussie guys when they toured Australia in the early 70s and headlined the Sunbury Festival which was the Oz version of Woodstock. Now the father of Aussie Rock Mr Billy Thorpe and his Aztecs band (Johnny O Keefe is the Grandfather) not to be out done in the loud department ran around the festival gathering as many amps as he could get his hands on to show these guys who they were messing with and by all accounts Deep Purple were upstaged that day. They also had a run in at one of these festivals with AC/DC which erupted in a brawl roadies and all. There’s TH-cam footage of Jimmy Barnes trying his best to upstage them when they toured here in the early 2000’s which is funny but I tell you what though there’s little known footage on TH-cam of Jon Lord RIP(the organists of Deep Purple) and his side band playing at The Basement here in Sydney and inviting Jimmy to sing Deep Purples ‘When a Blind Man Cries’ that makes my hairs stand up, the guys vocal range is ridiculous and I think he sings it better than Deep Purples Ian Gillian. It would be awesome to see your reaction to it here on your channel mate I haven’t seen anybody else do it you would be the first. Also could you react to Billy Thorpe and the Aztecs doing Mama live at GTK and you’ll see where the likes of AC/DC and Barnsey come from musically, Billy Thorpe is our most powerful voice I think, cheers.
Sooo good. With Christmas coming up I hope you can do his performance of Never Walk Alone with his eldest son David Campbell at Carols by Candlelight. Carols by Candlelight is an Australian Christmas Eve tradition where people gather outside with candles to listen and sing along with Christmas carols. They’re conducted all over the country but the most famous ones are held in Melbourne. ❤️
Good one Kappy! ❤️ I was going to ask the same question and I’d like to let Texas know that David is essentially a crooner because it is surprising considering his pedigree.
Joe is 45yrs and is a guitar titan. He started his career, opening for BB King ( he really is that gifted ). Exploring this rabbit hole is a veritable warren.Enjoy
Lazy is a Deep Purple track, from Machine Head. Jimmy played and recorded with Jon Lord and the Hoochie Coochie Men in 2003. The album is "Live at the basement".
The other guitarist is Bradley Whitford played was the rhythm player with Aerosmith, the drummer is Anton Fig, the bass player was the late great Michael Rhodes, The key board player is Arlan Schierbaums.
When great musicians get together and cut loose magic happens . Joe B is phenomenal and Jimmy Barnes is a force unto himself . Check out Mahalia Barnes and Joe B performing RIDING WITH THE KINGS in a studio setting not unlike this one you will be amazed . A guitarist you should look into is an Australian teenager Taj Farrant who at the tender age of 9 was featured on the Ellen DeGeneres show and later played on stage with Carlos Santana he's a veteran performer now at the ripe old age of 12 and I've never heard anyone play the blues like he does . A great American young player is Samuel Cristea lead guitarist of the sibling band Liliac from the state of Georgia who was at 18 as good as any of the headline players of metal and hard rock check them out you have everything to gain
Joe B toured with BB King when he was 12!! If you haven't listened to much of him, definitely watch more!! he is amazing. Will go down as one of the greatest!
A lot of the Hammon B-3 organ and the Fender Rhodes Electric Piano. No better sounds than the Hammond B-3 and the Fender Rhodes. I've been touring since the mid 70's. Our keyboard player just loves the sound. He still plays them. This is how much I love them I'm a drummer and own one of each!
The lead vocalist for Deep Purple on “Smoke On The Water” was Ian Gillan. He and Jimmy have similar voices, and are both capable of reaching those higher octaves. Deep Purple was loaded with great musicians. ✌🏼😎🇺🇸
Everyone seems to think that because Australia is this little blip at the bottom of the world on a map and maybe we are but the 1 thing I do know is we have the best music in the world. No matter the genre and I don’t know whether it’s our Aussie thing of we will show them just how great we are and our music is more than great and it gives me as a longtime music lover, who if you come to my house you would probably hear music. I don’t watch a lot of TV but I do listen to a lot of music and I defy anyone to say we don’t know what we are doing, because they’d be wrong and thanks to the internet we can indulge our Passion for music even more. So thank you for listening and sharing our music. 🇦🇺😘
This track gives me goosebumps every time and I've watched this at least 20 times before. We all know about Joe but Arlan Schierbaum on keyborads here steals the show. RIP Michael Rhodes
Mark Knopfler in Brothers in Arms by Dire Straights and David Gilmour's solo in the Pulse live concert version of Comfortably Numb are my two absolute favourite guitar performances. I didn't discover 'Lazy' until later in life, and I just love these guys absolutely smashing it out.
Gday. Another great reaction and Another great performance. Yeah his son David is also good. And jimmy's older brother SWANEE Is also a good singer his solo career And with the band The Party Boys. And earlier band Fraternity. Just another to add to your list. Also you have other great bands Since you like chisel that are. DRAGON, LITTLE RIVER BAND, ICE HOUSE, MODELS, CROWDED HOUSE,SPLIT ENZ, BOOM CRASH OPERA,MENTAL AS ANYTHING,HOODOO GURUS, CHOIRBOYS,THE ANGELS, BILLY THORPE,DADDY COOL who also become MONDO ROCK, MEN AT WORK,SKYHOOKS, just a few for your list mate.LOL. Keep up the great reactions.
That is a fucking awesome clip have watched it many times, great reaction Joe is just unbelievable and Jimmy what can ya say awesome and he is great live too, all these songs are recorded at Jimmy's house he has his own recording studios, Cheers mate great work 👍👍👍😎
Hi Texas Love, I'm not a Mr im a Miss, thankU for reacting to Jimmy Barnes and Joe Bonamassa song they just performed Lazy. Please do yourself a favour and react to Reece Mastin's song called (Suitcases of stories)
You'll be pleased to know that Jimmy is on the mend after undergoing open heart surgery in Sydney to replace an aortic valve that was damaged by a bacterial infection. His wife Jane has reported that he's recovering well and expects to be discharged from hospital this coming Friday and will be home for Christmas. He's now 67 which is sort of retiring age in Australia but I don't think he'll be slowing down any time soon once he's fully recovered.
ohhhhh lord, ah, Garry Moore did an album that went major hit with his solo after deep purple. I must be really old coz as an aussie I know the title track as one about Irish convict being framed and sent to australia. I used to listen to album to hear his guitar work on the finale no lirics, just beautiful instramental work ....
I assure you Texas Love, Jimmy live is nothing short of extraordinary, even in his 60s. He never gives a half-arse show and knows only one speed - full on. Being Australian and having grown up in late 70s and 80s, I've seen Chisel prob a dozen times, Jimmy 20plus, Mossy 5 or so, ACDC up to 10 times in Sydney pubs and arenas, Angels several times, Rose Tattoo twice and other Aussie rock artists dozens of occasions. Aussie pub-rock is unique and all these artists learnt how to play their rock/blues hard. If you grew up playing in a pub, you had to be good or you got pelted with bottles. 'Step up of fck off' was the standard to be met.
He has just got better with age. An example of this was his cover of Sia's 'Chandelier' at the ARIA awards a few years back. There is no way he should be able to sing it but - WOW - just WOW - check it out
Well! You should see him live. He still keeps gigging round OZ and NZ. You've probably got plenty of time. A lot of is here recon he's booked to jam at his own funeral. He's the most indestructible ADHD person on the planet. Bulletproof but what a performer. No one in history, has ever been known to be short changed by Jimmy.
This and 'Smoke on the water' were on the same album Machine Head. There are live clips of both by DP. Recommend you check them out. You wont be sorry.
I absolutely LOVE this one!! I seriously wanna dig out my old black lights and get my lava lamps goin. Joe and Jimmy are epic together as well as individually, and I personally feel like anything Joe lends his guitarsmanship to (is that a word?), just explodes. Mr. Texas Love, you should check out Joe with Beth Hart, "I'd Rather be Blind" live in Amsterdam for some sheer talent from both. Even if it's not one you upload here, I think you would appreciate their collaboration. Thanks for this one! This video and your reaction are both "chef's kiss." -- Books
Awesome in many ways!! Love the guitar and drums. Think you'd like Michael Jackson "Dirty Diana" official video from a live performance. Just watched Man in the Mirror you reacted to.
Good cover. The original has the long intro also. Joe was emulating the techniques of the Richie Blackmore, the guitarist of Deep Purple, because he can. And he respects Blackmore. But he lets it go at times. Doing his own style. You'll understand if you hear the original. Bradley Whitford is so unappreciated, having played along side Joe Perry. That guy can blaze.
Great cover of Deep Purple’s “Lazy”, recorded for 40th anniversary of DP Machine Head album. Live original Lazy: th-cam.com/video/KnIgXtE4K5U/w-d-xo.html. Joe said it was a challenging song. Every song for the Re-Machined album was covered by different bands, including Santana.
I know this is a little late...but, I don't know how old Joe is. Here is a clip of 12 year old Joe opening for and playing with BB King. Nuff said. th-cam.com/video/V8Nc2IuQ1YE/w-d-xo.html
Hei. Just found this gem. Another jimmy barnes and josh teskey duet. I remember when i was young th-cam.com/video/b_evPFcieLI/w-d-xo.html Love to hear your reaction. Keep up the great work.
Original guitarist was the one and only Ritchie Blackmore. Joe is amazing. Ritchie is better. Listen to it. Ian Gillian was the original singer. And the late, great Jon Lord was on keyboards. NOBODY can compare to Jon Lord.
Watched a lot of your reviews now but can’t remember the details. Smoke on the Water is probably one of Deep Purples most lame songs. I hope by now you have discovered their 1970 live tv performance of Sweet Child in Time ? Also Ian Gillans more recent live performance of When a Blind Man Cries..... both are pure gold.
Was Deep Purple any good?! Ummmm . . . . yeah. Richie Blackmore, Ian Paice, Ian Gillan, Roger Glover and the incredible Jon Lord on the keyboards. Earlier in the video you noticed how hard the guys appeared to be working - the tune they were playing / emulating was originally laid down by the aforementioned DP and those guys were seriously good. You need to learn more about DP - there is WAY more than the classic "Smoke on the Water".
Just to make you jealous’texas’ that u would love to see him live, I have seen him over 150 times since 1984, and have never been disappointed by any performance of jimmy’s, absolute legend👏👏
I am jealous, I pray I can see him live before he retires!

Thank you for the info!!
Anton Figg was the drummer on the Dave Letterman Show for about 17 yrs. He is British.
@@danielfox6907 Anton Fig is South African.
@danielfox6907 and also one of the top session musicians around today , top tier
All these musicians are top level performers, but a master like Joe B just lifts everyone up to another level. Pure magic.
“Not a thing a normal human can do.” Goes for everyone in the room. Shit hot all of em

He opened for BB King only on Fridays And Saturday's because of school. He was 12 Years old!!!!
♨️♨️ Its decided. Next time I go home to Oz Im taking in a Jimmy Barnes and a Teskey Brothers concert. I'll take some pics 🤩🤩
Awesome! I hope I can see them someday!
Your reaction of “Jimmmyyy!” when he started singing is exactly what we all do. Fantastic!! 😂
🤣 Jimmy is the best!
When you get that many great musicians together magic happens
For sure!
The second guitarist you were asking about is Brad Whitford from Aerosmith.

I’d rather be blind is the BEST version I’ve ever heard!
Yesss. Beth is amazing and Joe's guitar solo is like his guitar is singing another verse to the song, he seriously sings through that guitar!!
Awesome in many ways!! Love the guitar and drums. Think you'd like Michael Jackson "Dirty Diana" official video from a live performance. Just watched Man in the Mirror you reacted to.
Thank you! More MJ to come!
Ritchie Blackmore of Deep Purple is one of the greatest rock guitarists of all time.
You really need to to hear Joe & Beth Hart singing ( I’ll take care of you) absolutely amazing 🙌🏻
Joe was born in 1977 and this recording was done in 2012.

Older gentleman (guitarist) is Brad Whitford. Guitarist for Aerosmith

Isn’t the keyboard player the same bloke who played brass in “Stone Cold”?
Great cover of Deep Purple’s “Lazy”, recorded for 40th anniversary of DP Machine Head album. Live original Lazy: th-cam.com/video/KnIgXtE4K5U/w-d-xo.html. Joe said it was a challenging song. Every song for the Re-Machined album was covered by different bands, including Santana.

As great as this was, I would suggest that you listen to, “ Lazy “, from Deep Purples Made in Japan album.
Original guitarist was the one and only Ritchie Blackmore. Joe is amazing. Ritchie is better. Listen to it. Ian Gillian was the original singer. And the late, great Jon Lord was on keyboards. NOBODY can compare to Jon Lord.

I believe it! We will see Deep Purple here!
Still prefer Richie Blackmore's and Deep Purple's version.
Seems a little silly reacting to this instead of the original. They're not doing anything different.
This was in response to a couple of requests. Besides, the man can react to whatever he wants to. Chill.
@@essmkayAnyone can do whatever they want... even calling something "a little silly". Chill.
The movie is the crossroads great flick .sell his sole to the devil
