I agree. I liked this CC pack, it was good. But there was so much wasted opportunity here. Instead of using the entire Chevy Chase zone(which they should have), they used only the GNR Plaza. In addition to the merc outfits and Talon armors, they could have also added in the Chinese AR, maybe even added in the 10mm SMG for the Good Fighters to have. It's a good creation, but there was wasted opportunity.
I like to think Three-Dog continued on to inspire more people in other places. The Brotherhood may have changed, but he left a legacy with inspired wastelanders to care for the Capital Wasteland. As we see, the Good Fighters are still around, and may have other sections amongst the land. Maybe he went to help people in The Pitt continue to get back on their feet? Maybe he headed towards Apple-Asia to give their growing communities hope? I have a feeling that we may see, or hear from, that amazing man in the future.
3:10 imagine you’re about to die fighting mercenaries. You’re out of stimpaks, chems, food, and water. You’re there suffering, bullets flying past your face and claiming your brethren. Until you look up and you see a man with a large beard and a bowler hat suited in power armor flying down and starts blowing the place sky high. This was awesome
It wouldn't even be THAT bad to buy if it was like $5 max. They took what was supposed to be "micro-transactions" and turned them into "Micro-content for macro-transactions"
When I did this I was amazed with everything I saw. GNR, the outfits, Talon Company and the fact you can bring your good fight to the commonwealth by recruiting the Good Fighter Mercs to your settlements. Yes you can leave them there to hold down the fort but I like the fact that you tell them to come to where you are, relax for a bit and listen to someone who wants to bring the good fight through another voice albeit less confident at points. And Three Dog? It would be amazing if they added fully voiced companions and having him as one. He probably got tired of using his voice for the fight since the brotherhood left or since things died down and decided to go off on his own, perhaps bring his good fight elsewhere.... or maybe... he could've put down the mic, picked up a gun and started heading towards the commonwealth. (Yes I know its probably not gonna be a thing but I love the idea of having fully voiced companions, one being a bit older version of him, fighting the good fight himself first hand.)
I always send the goodfighters to the castle. I like to think they would jump at the chance to continue the "good fight" with the minutemen. I like to put em on all my artillery so they can lob shells at whoever is bothering my settlements in the commonwealth.
I get why the creations are priced what they are. Sometimes im even glad cause it can open worlds for modders/ future game developers. But im not paying $7 for a battlezone
Same. It’s just go to a place, shoot some people, read a lot that you are mostly going to forget. And then actually get the loot you paid for. Doubt people are ever coming back to GNR again.
@Matthew Littlejohn The quest designer is Kris Takahashi who if i'm correct, is the creator of "atomic radio and tales from the commonwealth" mod for fallout 4. It's a decent mod with well written quest. The guy speaks english well, so i'm leaning on poor writing here.

I support this creation. This is what I wanted from creation club, DLC like content at a good price. If they do this again, it would be cool to Underworld from Fo3
I don't know if anyone else feels the same way, but when I played through the quest and saw GNR for the first time, it kind of felt like I'd come home. I really do hope that the team behind Capital Wasteland Mercenaries takes us back to the Capital Wasteland someday because I think that they did a really good job.
I wouldn't doubt it. This is definitely a test run for a possible remake. Dev's do this. Capcom did this with RE6 & 7 for the RE2 Remake. I hate 76 but Fallout 3 remake + remade DLCs plus settlement building in places that were empty or pointless house would sell SO well. I would pay good money for it.
And if Greethesda wants more of my money then remake New Vegas with Obsidian and all DLCs. Then follow it up with an West Coast story with Chris Avellone on board, but a simple man can only wish.
@Bill Voss some of your points are valid but most of that was explained through the notes and its safe to assume three dog left when the brotherhood abandoned lyons teachings and started being raiders in power armor
@Bill Voss they could have found some fuel wherever they got the vertibirds from They may want it so they can call in more talon company mercs and establish a bigger foothold over the capital wasteland I'm gonna guess three dog met the same fate as Sarah Lyons "died in battle" That is a gameplay thing but I agree I assume the vertibird was on autopilot The super mutant may have heard galaxy news radio and decided to travel to nearby Maryland
One thing of note, Ox, all of the Good Foghter mercs can be recruited as settlers after you finish the quest, more than likely because their leaders are dead and they feel lost, allowing you to give them a new cause to fight for. A new Good Fight to pledge themselves to.

Hope they make fallout 3 remastered version.
The team is still working on it!
@@jakespacepiratee3740 patiently waiting 👨💻
I'd want a remake actually.
Wont happen
@@lowspecgaming7627yep, still waiting with ya pal.
I wish we could've talked to Doc Amalee. She seems like a fun, nice person. Would've been pretty different from most characters.
@Bill Voss I know, I'm just saying.
From the way Doc Amalee talks in her logs she kind of reminds me of Moira Brown from Craterside supply.
@@xmob_brandage2635 A little bit yeah!
Moira lol
Hey ox, I don’t know if you know this but you can take the good fighters back to Boston if you talk to them.
Glenda Dowling Do they become settlers?
Yes they do, they're working in Sanctuary
Not much use if he mini nuked the lot of them though 😂
You can take them to your settlements
I recruited them to different settlements...
The art and outfits are fine, but they need a new “quest” guy. The Chris Takahasi or whatever is a one trick pony at this point.
Facts
It wouldn't even be THAT bad to buy if it was like $5 max. They took what was supposed to be "micro-transactions" and turned them into "Micro-content for macro-transactions"
@Loud Cheetah It does?! Oh God, good thing I don't buy that shit.
Hamsters Plural I can't say for all CC content but the Tunnel Snake Rules had a famous (or infamous) know game-breaking bug
@@midouban628 What did the bug do?
15:16 "Bean bag barricade",I had to laugh when you said that, I think you meant to say sand, I imagine bean bags wouldn't make very good defences.
Seeing this really made me wonder what a version of Fallout 3 in the Fallout 4 graphics would look like.
Also Ox rocking those fishnets there.
Rest in peace Adam, nice homage to an awesome man.
"Good fighter mercenary"
Lol, Might as well just call them "good guy soldier team"
The Goody-two-shoes of Good-guy M E R C E N A R Y land!
Or just Three Dog believer
I know, that name is so barf-worthy.
They're fighting the Good Fight (TM) so they're good fighters. It's a joke, not poor writing.
The Eulogy Jones jingle made me laugh so hard
I've played free mods with far more heart in them (in addition to being lore friendly) compared to this disappointment of a release.
Yeah almost as if Bethesda's a greedy pig.
Three-Dog: Even with the Brother hoods technology, I need you to fix the radio tower people on the outskirts of D.C. cant hear about the Good Fight!
Travis: My radio show witch is in a very small trailer, and also dose't get good funding, can be heard any where in the world- PLEASE HELP ME WITH MY ANXIETY!
Was very much looking fwd to this and the Quincy DLC, bought them both, finished both quests in 20 mins...feel mightily ripped off.
themaypole welcome to the CC.
"Feel mightly ripped off"
It. Just. Works.
Bethesda: "We scammed another idiot out of his money!"
That's because they aren't DLC. They are mods.
@@AstroNerdBoy I only am getting it so I can download the junkmaster mod on xbox
Wow was literally just thinking to myself 'I wonder when that CC content vid is gonna come out...' lol.
What ever happened to the lone Wanderer? Hope he made it out alright at the end.
Will Alpizar it’s not stated, however there are newer versions of the wasteland survivor guide found in the common wealth so it’s possible they left the bos and kept working on the guide
@@Cthulhuwarlord I read somewhere that LW was mentioned in this creation. I can't remember where though.

Not saying he's old but I believe three dog just left because well the fight has to stop some time and three dog has done as much as he did and left
The Eulogy Jones joke will always be one of my favorites.
I hope one day we can get fo3 remasterd
28:54 “before we explore his body”
Ouulala~
Yaaaasssss xD
Fallout3: where is my father? Fallout 4: where is my son? Fallout 5: where is my DJ? Could be cool to come across 3dog someday in another Fallout game 😁
Fallout definitely needs new music
Sad that my favorite character three dog is not there
“Make up for lost time, you dig?”
*dont you dare stand where he stood*
I support this creation. This is what I wanted from creation club, DLC like content at a good price. If they do this again, it would be cool to Underworld from Fo3
I don't know if anyone else feels the same way, but when I played through the quest and saw GNR for the first time, it kind of felt like I'd come home. I really do hope that the team behind Capital Wasteland Mercenaries takes us back to the Capital Wasteland someday because I think that they did a really good job.
Too much of the plot doesn't make sense, so I declare: not canon.
Elaborate?
@Bill Voss they could have found some fuel wherever they got the vertibirds from
They may want it so they can call in more talon company mercs and establish a bigger foothold over the capital wasteland
I'm gonna guess three dog met the same fate as Sarah Lyons "died in battle"
That is a gameplay thing but I agree
I assume the vertibird was on autopilot
The super mutant may have heard galaxy news radio and decided to travel to nearby Maryland
I love how Goodman referred to God. "The big DJ in the sky".
I cried when I entered the building... Those memories...
Me *takes a drag off a grey tortoise* “the good fight ain’t ever meant much to me.”
Ox- you should toggle the free cam and look outside the limits to see how much they really did include with the space.
11:50 my god how remebers the jingle and Ox at one moment finaly snapinng and sad that it was enough good o'l days
Hey Ox. I wanted you to know that if you spoke to the Mercs, you can add them as Settlers for your Settlements. Good to know for early game users.
Sad when fallout 4 mods are more popular than 76's content
@phillip martin What they needed to do get rid of all the problems that they have when the game was released.
phillip martin yeah, the Fo4 storyline was extremely lack luster in comparison to all the other games including the unofficial spin-offs.
Fallout 76 was an absolute swan dive into a pool of sewage
Travis didn't upgrade his equipment. YOU did when YOU installed those panels to broadcast the institutes message. ;)
He used his Brotherhood character so he didn't upgrade the radio.
One thing of note, Ox, all of the Good Foghter mercs can be recruited as settlers after you finish the quest, more than likely because their leaders are dead and they feel lost, allowing you to give them a new cause to fight for. A new Good Fight to pledge themselves to.
I wanted to get the "Oxhorn review" before buying. Story is too short so won't buy
Don’t expect much from creation club for story content.
@@Cthulhuwarlord That's because they are mods.
@@AstroNerdBoy No, they're not either.
@@MattSpearsInfiniteOni Of course they are. They just are mods slapped into the official gimmick store, which allows Bethesda to label them as mini-DLC. And then Bethesda makes a ton of money conning the mugs. 😉

@@VynalDerp Yeah because screw creators right?
@@kristophsams5036 nah, screw Bethesda for overpricing crap on the creation club. Doesn't help that some of these overpriced mods have free versions that are superior.
@@VynalDerp Do you not think some of it is decent?
Personally I loved neon flats, the black devil, and tunnel snakes rule.
Although lore breaking, it's good quality content.
I don't really buy games regularly, so buying additional content is no different for me.
@@leonhardt6105 Some of it is decent, if you compare it to other mods. But the majority of it, both good and bad, is overpriced to the point I'd say it's not worth it. $20 for a single new area to explore isn't worth it. 1/3rd the price of the main game for effectively 5 minutes of potential (not guaranteed) fun? Pass.
Granted, the CC isn't nearly as bad as Fo76's Atom Shop.
I actually prefer to buy additional content. But I won't if it's a waste of money that could go into something more worthwhile, like additional content for another game. Or just buying another game flat out (which you can easily do with $20, especially during sales).
Oxhorn in a crop top and fishnet stockings. I don't think that image will ever leave my brain... I need a drink.
To anyone late to this video, what Oxhorn didn't mention, is that you can actually speak to the "Good Fighters" again after completion and recruit them all to join your settlements. And yes THEY DO show up ❤

"OH HEY EVERYONE, I'M BAAAACCCKKK! *BOOM!*"
Oxhorn, our friendly neighborhood power armour badass! \o/
I'd just like to say that the Merc gear don't have guaranteed legendary variants at GNR. It's completely randomised. I've played it on two characters & have had completely different variants each time. Not to mention the bug with the charmer dress is probably due to one of Ox's mods seeing as both variants work fine for me.
I'd also love to mention something Ox forgot to say. All of the Merc armours can be bought in Fallon's Basement in Diamond City. As well as guaranteed (while randomised) legendary variants from the general store owner in Goodneighbor who's name I forgot.
General store owner whose name you forgot = Daisy.
You're welcome.

They could’ve added some talon company paint job for power armor along with a radio
I can just imagine Oxhorn snickering while he did his super mutant voice.
This proves Fallout 3 can and should be remastered.
Nightwing690 or they could just add the game as dlc into 4 slowly and make us realize they’re only interested in micro transactions and never give us what we truly want lol 😂
3:13 The battle, and the start of the battle gave me a unique adrenaline.
Why don't they just support F4:CW? They literally own everything about the assets. I guess BGS is just too stupid to listen to fans eh? We'll never know. I never even bought FO76 and I feel like I deserve a refund.
Bethesda put all their eggs in the FO 76 Atom Store basket as it sells much better than the CC.
Sony bought my 76 wit there thanks for being a sub purchase🤣🤣
If you never owned it how could you even argue that u want a refund
They did once when fans asked for Skyrim remastered and they listened and did it but then all the fans started bitching so what would be the point?🤔
Perhaps when everything they try results in bitching, they just ignore the bitches?
Hey, seems Talon Company got an upgrade in terms of equipment.
More than one person wears a damn helmet now.
Oxhorn, you are godly for putting the eulogy Jones theme again. I love it!
Maybe he's heartbroken and left. When things were looking better Elder Lyons died, Sarah was killed in battle and no one knows where the Lone Wanderer went. Then the Brotherhood show their true color in their true fashion they just doesn't care

What? You want to repeat that madness with the NCR? No thanks
Oh great, more raiders...
Jokes aside, we played the bad guys in fallout 3, the enclave was right all along.
I would like to think Three Dog felt that the place was safe enough to move on to help others fight the good fight
if only Bethesda was willing to spring for voice acting, those characters could have been interesting to interact with but instead it's just the same old 76 special.
True another game company needs to create the next fallout game
While i'm all for the bethesda hate train, in this instance it's more likely to be VA red tape than anything else, but eh.
That's not how creation club works sadly.
If you want your content to be featured in creation club, you need to applied with a finish mod.
So if the modders don't pay for the voice acting up front, bathesda won't do anything about it either.
@@boneman-calciumenjoyer8290 you're misunderstanding something there, it's applying to be a "Creator" that you have to show a collection of your past work, whereas with "Creation" the Creator has to submit pitches for BGS to approve instead then the whole development happens along side them.
