With how handily grant rolled these bots first try, I kinda wanna see rematches with grant playing other races. Not 'cause 'toss imba, but 'cause more content & I'm curious how grant would play zerg/terran in a 1v1 environment
Not sure if you've seen/heard this Grant, but since you mentioned the early gas I might as well help explain it: Workers slow down naturally before stopping to mine/deliver. These bots manually control their workers to maintain full speed the whole way, resulting in overall higher income. They could do a normal player build and just have a spare couple hundred minerals within a few minutes. :)
Dark Templar: "Ah it is General Grant. I heared of his stories of defeating Amon without a single soldier falling on his side. Surely I am in good hands with such a competent leader!" 20:05
As a Terran player I can confirm this is a very well mannered Terran. We prefer to float a building to every corner when we realize we've lost, then flame in chat how other race imba.
If this is the same terran AI that i think it is, it trashtalks in many ways. Like if you get speed on your zerglings it will say "Speed lings will not save you my friend" followed by the emoji with sunglasses If you get burrow and use it in its vision it will say "COME OUT AND FIGHT YOU BUG" and other such things
Bots usually play against other bots. They don't know how humans play. Also, Grant's understanding of the game is really good. He starts with a pretty standard build other and after that builds and did stuff, that is good against bots.
@@aveshatesit it really depends on type of bot. Bots, learning from existing games, can be very smart, but in the same time they are nigh impossible to tweak. Good example is AlphaStar. On the bot's ladder the most popular bots are scripr ones - an author of a such bot writes gigantic script with commands like If (enemy unit A is close to our unit B), then if (A is in range of B's attack and B's weapon is not on cooldown), then shoot, otherwise run away.
@@aveshatesit none of bots that were recently played on this channel has an engine that "learns by watching". They all have built-by-hand logic of unit and macro interactions
I suspect it's programmed to lift when under 50% hp if it takes damage, then land once no enemy ground attackers are nearby. But once it's on fire it's always taking damage so always lifts again immediately.
That's the way to beat the meta, come at them with a strange approach, works in alot of games, but you also need to be an expert of the game to pull off such a thing, this really showed to me how insane grant is, I knew he was good but to flatten all the bots, leaves me wondering are the bots as good as I heard, or is grant just super incredibly amazing.
Hey Grant! Just a tip to make this composition better. It is best that the Mothership is in its own control group and slightly behind all your other units so it doesn't get sniped!
Man you destroyed that AI... I'm a little disappointed in it... sticking on just marine tank for so long... Knowing you had air as well and still running so many units into it. Seeing the DT's but not able to even scan and kill what seemed to be like any of them unless their army just happened to be there. Think the bot quality went down through the games.
there must be something i am misunderstanding here.... cause against disruptors and carriers, wouldnt vikings hard counter both of them? i mean i almost never see vikings in high level play, so there must clearly be something wrong with them... but what though?
I think the main thing is the Archons mixed in, combined with the high volume of carriers without a high volume of Vikings to counter it. As if you look when he had the mothership the Vikings did rather well sniping it, but there wasn't enough of them to put serious hurt on and they could do nothing about the ground Archons.
Last time on Grant gets his butt kicked! Grant did not get his butt kicked! Will Grant get hus butt kicked? Find out on this of Grant gets his butt kicked!
I think a lot of it is that the bots are designed to work with 0 delay - when the bots are playing against each other, they can perform all of their calculations on a frame by frame basis (pretty much like a turn based game), but when they're being played against like this the bots have to play in real time which means they mess up a lot of their micro because they don't input their commands instantly. A lot of their micro seemed really off, and I don't mean their decision making but the actual micro - like, the reaper stutter stepping just wasn't attacking as quickly as it could be which isn't really a decision making problem and should've been something an AI would have absolutely no trouble doing, but for some reason it was..
It's a scripted AI. It's strategy is severely handicapped. Think of it this way - the best scripted AI that Blizzard made, with map hacks and double resources on top of that - multiple pros have managed to win 1v7 against them. These bots can do crazy APM heavy micro tricks really well, but that's about it.
Next IODIS : "Grant is unbalanced. He is too powerful to be left unsupervised" - The bots
Bot maker kindly asks GGG for the replay, and then Harstem receives an IODIS complaint from the bot maker for this game ...
AlphaStar thrashes in the Void (that's where the data center housing it is)
He didn't quit at the end because he was too busy launching the reddit to balance whine
Preparing today's episode:
* unpack your GGG
* put him in a MicrOWN
* set OWN to 9000 APM for 20 mins
Enjoy!

I want to see the previous Zerg AI vs Grant's Zerg. That Roach build that it was doing seems particularly adept in crushing other Zerg's in its build.
@@JulianCastelle23 that's exactly what I was thinking as well

a Terran that doesn't gg and make you kill everything. Classic.
that bot is about to send an imba complaint to Harstem
As a Terran player I can confirm this is a very well mannered Terran. We prefer to float a building to every corner when we realize we've lost, then flame in chat how other race imba.
Lmao, I’m not like that but I saw too much terrans say so
20:05 Almost died taking a sip of water because Grant decided to start the dark Templar space program
Gosh, I really wish I could also just go "Let's see what they do in GSL" and then go and almost-perfectly replicate it.

It seems that the best bot is still the Generated Routine Autonomous Neural Technology
Turns out Grant was good at starcraft ^^
Grant will save us from the AI rebellion
...or what if Grant has been an AI this whole time
He's putting the lesser Ai in their place.
We use V-tuber avatars and AI uses people avatars. Makes sense
I think Grant has such unstandartised strategies for current meta bots don't know what to do, cause they learn progamers' games

20:17 pure BM joy
Grant: Huh, I'm winning. Wait... I'm winning? Thats not supposed to happen.
I would have loved if the bot had flown a command center into a corner of the map.

the thing is that you had a very non-standard opening and the bot did open "standardly" and this cost him the game. vwd

20:04 Hey!! That DT had a family!! :p
This guy is great!
"nanobots son"
No contest for ggg here. Bots all got destroyed.
I can't even beat Insane AI with any build order and you can kill this super bot so easily. :) Well done. ^^
My man really built disruptors against a bot named micro machine
Please do these again playing as the other races
would love to see an alpha star game that thing is crazy.
The barracks teabagging! lmao
I know it sounds stupid but I would love to see the actual apm of the bots. Just so I can have a laugh.
Thanks for the fun! ^^
Anyone know MicroMachine vs an insane AI(or whatever the hardest SC2 ai is), and which is better?
Do a 1v 1v 1v 1 with all 3 bots
GL grant! Beat the Microwave!
i really want to see grant play against ketrocs bot
Grant is THE MAAAAAAN
GGG vs Maru when?
Yeeeeeeeeeeees, keep those coming!

GGG is a pro or at least a GM in secret

This is the best bot that is public access - There is a much better bot not available to the public.
