This gave me something to introspect. Javed Sahab is speaking at his level, in this 1 billion people there's only one like him. AI might not affect the likes of him or them on stage, but those are probably 1 in a million, but for others AI is easily replaceable.

Mr Akhtar is a master of words. So he will find the right words and so he is more convincing to you then others . Even Javed Akhtar is replaceable . A perception that you are organic or authentic will hv another meaning . Spontaneity will always be compared to machines as well and does not matter

Now , AI can do all the work in few minutes that I.used to do in weeks with some mistakes but AI is doing efficietly..
It can do work of 100 people , compamy will only hire 4-5 people to manage it ..

Nice to see such a discussion, but the presence of a subject expert too is necessary. Not one person on the panel has a nuanced understanding of what AI actually is at a level that they understand their respective fields of specialisation.

What I have observed is that the creative community massively lacks basic understanding of physics and neural networks. Their knowledge of AI is very surface level. Moreover, the human arrogance is so f*in irritating. We are doomed.

Javed Akhtar is so adamant at some things that he believes is true that he seems ignorant about the entire other aspects of the things he is talking about. AI is not even in it's adolescence and it's doing all this... When humans create, it's just a recycling of our memories.. We're not really creating something new, we're just giving an art to memory.. It's data.. And AI has access to 10000 times more data than us... People who learn to adapt it will get ahead.

Let's all be humble and don't take strong sides on AI and be in a constant state of I don't know and exploration.
May be time for us to go beyond creativity into existence.
What on earth does this comment mean? Sonu is a singer who never lip synchs, what gimmicks would he be using on stage? And what is this lecture on humility to a guy who has been incredibly famous and loved by millions of fans for 35 years and still seems like a pretty cool, laid back guy!!

The anchor, perhaps well intentioned, seemed to miss the point entirely :
- She is interviewing the top 0.001% creative minds of India who have lived their lifes creating 0 to 1. Their livelihood or art isn’t at threat with AI.
- India’s outsourcing tech and BPO boom has entirely been build around repetitive work. If anything that is the short term economic threat from AI in india. There is a large population of graduates and post graduates whose employment may hit an existential crisis. No point in expecting Javed Akhtar or Sonu Nigam to speak to this issue - they aren’t economists or tech entrepreneurs.
- To invite the most creative in the country and say that “you haven’t used it/read up” of AI or “we will see in 6 months if your job will remain”, is immature and pretty disrespectful.
And yet the guests summarized it well. It’s a tool, and a very powerful tool. That will create disruption and give the power of creativity to everyone. But to assume that it will take human innovation away is unwarranted. Google search has not made everyone a doctor nor has it destroyed medical profession, PC & PowerPoint hasn’t made all of us CEO’s. Tools will displace jobs, but will also invent many more. And yet I’m thankful for this conversation. Thank you!
