I think I’d be great to see the mapping setup. I want to map the new mixer FX feature to my X1. That said - I think I’d love learn more about how you leverage Traktor to have more control in your mixes.
The new Transparent Limiter option sounds better than the old normal limiter, you can select either in the menu. Plus you can see the clipped peaks as red bar going backwards on the Master VU meter.

There are dedicated knobs on the new S4 MK3, the S8 (judging from the picture) also has a filter knob so you would be able to use that one for the mixer FX I imagine.

Get mine delivered on Friday with the S4 and the Maschine mk3 and a pair of x1’s (sold mine ages ago when I swapped DJing for production after an accident ended my dj career - but now this is back with a vengeance, I’m getting right back into mixing. Still got my Reloop RP7000’s too so DVS should be straight forward enough. Can’t wait... Damn, like everyone one here I guess, I love Traktor - and have done since it’s very 1st release. Wondering about the little things though - stems, the remix decks - I liked them a lot even though they never caught on in a big way, with a pair of F1 decks, they were excellent to use. Also, could this be used with Pioneers SP-1 Sampler? I love that wee box but only used it with Serato- and tbh, I can’t stand that software. And Maschine integration. I heard a while back it would be possible but nothing more has been mentioned. One more thing - can I replace the x-fader? Cheers guys?
Love to see the X:One92 now can be better used than ever together with Traktor and a small midi controller 👍 and it shows me, that I have to clean my X:one mixer 😂
From what I've seen so far, the number of bugs people have been experiencing seem to out number the new features they're selling for an additional $149AU, even for those who have already spent over $1500 on their flagship. 8 new mixer FX's, a Link position indicator bar, a better time stretching algorithm, no retina support at a time where retinas have been around long enough for 95% of mac owners possess one, and a whole buttload of bugs that would kill sets at a moments notice. Not a mention of features that many DJ's who have variety in their sets have been hanging for, such as the ability for tracks to possess several BPM's, a feature I thought NI may have seriously considered after Richard D James publicly begged NI to look into it after his Field Day headliner. But, why would they take suggestions from one of the greatest pioneering producers of our time? They have progressive house, dubstep and EDM DJ's to look after... What an awesome deal. Bravo NI. Shut up and take my money!!

Hey Sanny, I use the RME UCX. Very stable soundcard, great converters but sadly not buspowered. And you'd have to run 1 channel from the headphone output. Have seen others use the motu ultralite. Alternatively, a lot of newer dj mixers (DJM-900, Xone 96) have built in soundcards.
Joran Van Pol, you stated that reverse could be played as you would expect without slip-mode activated. Can you or anyone explain how to do this? For many DJs Traktor Pro 3 is only playing reverse with slip-mode (flux) activated. No settings regarding reverse or flux are found. Please help and thanks in advance.

I cant look into your situation and wallet so I cant say if its worth it for you. For me it is worth it for the new sound engine and UI alone. Plus, the Pro 3 release also is the starting point for future updates.
Dn't really see that many changes, but hopefully the audio engine is actually better, ive heard artists use traktor and ableton live , its hard to tell the difference, most people say traktor reduces the quality, especially with that limiter on ...but idk
Kinda unrelated... I noticed that lots of people are complaining about the sound quality from Traktor. Me personally had the opposite experience many years ago. At least when playing MP3s with mediocre sound quality, Traktor used to sound like i had added a nice soundcard to my computer or something, and was able to enjoy MUCH nicer sound... Have something changed in this software, or was i just getting sound that was perfect for my speakers maybe 10 years ago???
Personally, I feel this is the clearest sounding version of Traktor till date, especially if you opt to use the direct outputs (bypass the mixer and such). There's a lot of factors determining the quality of the eventual sound: the quality of the file (it'd recommend using WAV or AIFF), Traktor's processing, USB cable to the soundcard (yes this matters), the soundcard itself and the audio cables. If one of those is of bad quality, you'll notice a drop in audio quality.
When u switched did your mapping for your K2 work with the new version? I’m scared that all my saved beat grids and cue points and the mapping for my K2s won’t work properly.
Hmmmm, not really sure about it... 50 € for an upgrade is not too much but the changes not really that much either... You can and you can not change... The difference is little.... I wish they added some extra features helping with transitions or so.... Anyways... I like traktor over the others...

You can select more FX for the Mixer FX in the options menu. You can only have four that are accessible from the mixer knob. But there are 8 in total

It imported everything automatically for me. Everything works as in Traktor Pro 2.
Do the traktor 2 mappings work with this version?
You should have 4 more effect in your settings for your fliter
