Sensor size isn't all. Processor, codec, low iso. I think a nice camera but not for all. I think a 70d would be better.
Totally agree!
I've been shooting the 40d for about 14 years without the error showing up to my memory. By the way, my 40d shoots 10.2mp, I'm pretty sure they all do.
I have canon 550d and i am a beginner in photography. Is canon 40d is better than 550d? Actually after viewed your videos i am interested in canon 40d. So i should stick with canon 550d or go for 40d?
The images from both cameras looked flat. I wonder if the jpegs would look better.
Graham do you have any preferred camera? If so what's?
- The colours are better in the 40D photos... 🙂
I bought a 40D in 2018 for £25 and put a wi-fi card in it that sends the images straight to my phone and haven't looked back. Its a total monster of a camera and my samsung phone gives me the photo editing tools and much bigger screen to process the results.
good use of technology here.
Wow in most of the pictures i see better the 40d, we are victims of marketing 😄 my first camera was a t2i, wonderful image quality, I sold it to get a "better" one.
Actually, 40D is 10MP, not 12 like written in the description and mentioned in the video. A good video and interesting comparison, though. A properly working 40D or 50 are fine cameras, with a good lens and some effort by the photographer. And as cheap as chips nowadays.
Yep, it's deffo 10 megapixels not 12.
For three years, no one noticed that the EOS 40D did not have 12 megapixels but only 10.
wrong, everybody noticed it.
What camera would you recommend for a beginner?
40d for sure. It is also good for you to look at the 450d
40d puts out nicer colors
90D brings out more detail in shadows
Much prefered the 40d images glad mine is arriving in s few days, and s bargain to boot.
What you don't know is that the 90 D requires expensive lens. If you don't put a very good lens on it you don't get to see what it can do.
The 90 d chews the lens and spits it out
I use it with the L series 70-200 F4 IS lens and that is a sharp lens. I'll compare them both with that lens.
@@GrahamHoughton12 Ok. Then I am wrong.
@@GrahamHoughton12 i heard the IS II version works properly on 90D as it requires more resolving power coz of its 33 mp sensor.
I like the 40D more. The 90D is foggy and misty
I find that too. I've got my 40D since 2004. I just bought a 90D and the sales person said it's a lot sharper than the 40D. I might return it after seeing this comparison.
@@Tpillai Gotcha! 40D came out into 2007 - so you can't own it since 2004! The 10D came into 2003, go figure! Bought them all, 10D to 50D, back into its heyday.
I prefer the 40d images :-/
wow 40d got better colors
