Wow, if you can just keep this head of steam going you'll have this project wrapped up in no time!
I for sure will be tagging along watching and trying to learn something.

That tractor is going to be such a beast when it's done! I highly recommend the power steering upgrade as well - you won't regret it especially with the diesel engine up front. I like your plan for the hydraulic oil cooler as well - like a JD 300/400 series. Can't wait to see the finished product.

Any idea what fuel tank you will run?
Also how do you plan to fill and check fluid in the rear without the dipstick? Taking the 3 point plate off to check level seems like PITA.
The dipstick cap is vented, without a adding a additional vent you will blow the seals out of it.

I will be using a fuel tank out of a model 1220. There were a handfull of models similar that had the same type of fuel tank that mounts under the seat. The only issue with this tank is no where for a dipstick, And you are unable to have a rear pto. Finding a diesel fuel tank is not only hundreds of dollars, But pretty hard to find as well. This tank will work perfect tho for this build. The old cast iron cubs had a small vent in the rear. It is a brass circle on the top. Mine is painted over so I am taking the vent off of a 1864 rearend to add to it. I will drill and tap a hole in the new plate and install the vent there under the fuel tank. I agree checking the oil level the old way will be a pain, But There is not any other options. I plan on mounting my 3 point hitch then useing a hole saw bit to cut a hole to access the plug. It is like a puzzel doing a build like this. Just when you think you got a problem figued out then you run into another.

@@steiger256 Yeah it is like a puzzle. I'm doing a similar build with a 982 I have, I'm still in the gathering parts stages thou. Probably going to use a kubota gas motor I have instead of finding a diesel.

@@Mg-1234x3 I always wanted to to a Kubota gas engine also. Once you figure out the parts that fit it is not to bad.
