Riddle Nr. 1 depends on the criterion that differentiates them. I for example thought "having 4 legs" as a common criterion which made me answer "the chicken" because every other animal of those, except for it, has 4 legs. So more than one answers correct...

Question 5:
It is entirely possible to construct the image shown with no cubes, as irregular solids of various shapes can be put together to make it appear as a pile of stacked cubes. There is no guarantee of a specific number of cubes.
For cutting the cake into 8 equal slices, I just cut ALL 8 slices horizontally. Everyone ended up with round slices of cake.

about the riddle number 2 , another solution is (2x6) - (2x2) = 8 . (3x7) - (3x5) = 6. (2x7) - (2x4) = 6. (3x6) - (3x5) = 3

A riddle has only one logical and proven correct answer. Majority of these are ill thought out ones that allow the setter to always say you are wrong.

On question 5, there are only 5 cubes showing and the side of one other one. We were supposed to assume the other 3 that are hidden are there. If that's the case, you could give an answer of lets say, 13 and be right and just say they were hidden too.
The answers are not what I would be expected. Except the ones with the 3 empty glasses of water and 3 full glasses of water, the one with the 9 cubes, the one with the father and son ages, the one with the 2 lines and the one line on the top of the rectangle, and the one where the lady was murdered. I got those ones right!😃

#2: I had a different way of solving that. I multiplied the top number by the one on the right. Then, I multiplied the two bottom numbers. Then, I subtracted the lesser value from the greater value.
#1 The crocodile is the only cold-blooded animal.
#3 If you cut it that way none of the pieces will have frosting in the center as shown.
#5 The question was "in this image" -- invisible cubes are not in the image.
#7 My grandparents drove a 4-speed.
There is two odd ones out for the first one. Chicken walks on 2 legs, the others walk on fours.
The chicken was also the only one with 2 legs

For riddle #5 I immediately thought 9, because of what I'd been taught since 2nd grade... but I thought that was the most obvious answer so I guessed it was probably wrong and when the time ran out I was surprised that it was actually the answer! It was one of the only ones that I was able to solve correctly.

On question #5, literally there are only 5 cubes and those hidden ones might be round or square or in other shape forms.
Also, on question #8, another correct answer is...123+45-67+8-9 = 100.

There is also another solution for the second riddle. If you add the numbers under the triangle you can see how much you have to add or subtract to get the number on top. The number you added or subtracted should also be added or subtracted from the number on top of the triangles. For example. 2+2=4

6+2=8

5+3=8
8-"1"=7
7-1=6
third triangle
4+2=8
8-"1"=7
7-1=6
last triangle
5+3=8
8-"2"=6

The first one can also be the chicken for two reason:
1. The only bird.
2. The only animal with 2 legs, rest have 4. A crocodile has 4 legs not 2.

Actually, technically for #5 there are only 5 cubes because you asked how many were in the image, which are the ones you can see (the one on the bottom left doesn’t count because it’s a square). You didn’t say how many cubes are in this figure.

In the cube riddle there's actually 10. Because in between the middle cubes there is another cube which only is upside down. 🤓🤓
The one with the cubes is wrong. He asks how many are in the picture. Even if there are three more cubes, you can only see six, so only six are "in the picture." And it's not a sure thing that those extra three cubes exist anyway. It's just an assumption. (It's not that I didn't get it so I'm being salty, I actually did think of the three extra cubes, or the two extra cubes, or the one extra cube, or the no extra cubes, whatever you assume). You could argue that without the extra cubes the ones you see would fall down, but not necessarily, they could be glued together, there could be no gravity, gravity could be irrelevant to the puzzle, etc.
