    There are plenty of times I don’t agree with Simon Jordan, but his insight into the business and reality of football finances I really respect. Sort of glad to hear him being honest on his time as an owner. Gives an insight I don’t think any other pundit could give.

    As a Palace fan I want to publicly thank Mr Jordan for the youth academy he started. That has been an absolute godsend for Crystal Palace.

One minute he's crying saying a club isn't big because of their small funds and then goes off and slates City for not being a big club because they can't fill stadiums.... Jim is alot smarter he's not fishing for likes and trying to make headlines he just does his job and gets on with it, Simon and cundy are the worst in terms of actual football knowlage they just wanna have arguments, and Simon always cuts across people when they are trying to debate him which is a sign of low intelligence

    I know the Talksport jingle puts this show as "the coliseum of confrontation" but I liked today's show as it was Jim and Simon quite jocular, calm with each other and the topics were in depth. Nice to have this instead of Jim shouting sensationalism endlessly. It was a great flow to the whole show and a nice insight into ownership here.

    I remember a while back when I first heard Simon Jordan on talksport and 90% of the time I though he was reactionary and divisive and a lot of the time he left me seething, but after listening to him on numerous situations I have to admit that I find it hard these days to disagree with a lot of the things he says these days.

    This show is just box office!
    Simon Jordan gives fascinating insights with a command of English that is awe inspiring.
    It’s my favourite thing on radio and I try to plan my driving around this, haha

    The whole premise of hiring ex players that had successful careers, but have zero experience as football managers is perplexing to me. If the owner is backing the person for 5-10 years then I understand. However if they want immediate success then they really are taking a massive gamble and I don’t feel sorry for them. Once again the fans always have to suffer.

    Almost all media is inane nonsense, and then you have Jordan. Absolutely brilliant. If he gets things wrong he comes back and corrects it, but the attitude, the intellectual openness, gravitas and integrity is different gravy. Top man. How he's on radio is beyond me, but enjoy it while we can.

    Simons past including his mistakes and good decisions, life experiences etc plus his ability to assess these, makes for a man who I like to listen to. Don’t confuse the tomfoolery arguments with Jim and remember it’s a radio show! They have to make content. Every. Day.
    I say put SJ at the top of the game. Let him have a say. TV side ownership side, the lot. The man should be sat at the big table challenging the corrupt worms. But that’s exactly why they won’t reserve him a seat.

    Superb from Simon Jordan. Yes mistakes are made and owning a football Club is like a casino, how much are you willing to gamble? And if you lose that gamble then be prepared to absorb that cost.
    Mel Morris isn’t innocent as he’s the custodian and why he thought it was a good idea to bankroll the Rooney contract I’ll never know. But.. I feel for him as he’ll be getting hammered!

    Commitment to money and your investment should not be confused with commitment to the club. The fear of losing money, especially for those running a club on a budget is their first priority.
    And there is nothing wrong with that, that's the gamble of owning in football. Don't pretend for one minute though that the club came first for a man like Jordan.
    As he tells us all the time in a round about way, he thinks he knows best. Hmm.
