Well, shiver me timbers! It’s true! Season 10 is underway! I’m so happy. I’ve been trying so hard to find out if and when they would give us all the “fix” we’ve needed for over two years. I actually had to stop my continuous binging loop of seasons 1-9, because I was starting to recite lines before the actors. Thank you for this. I love the show. Mr. Pickles is an incredible actor!. Everyone on the show is outstanding and Mrs. Tishell is a marvelous character who always brings the comedy so expertly by never overplaying ...she manages to hit just the right note and is superb.
My late wife adored this program so it's hard sometimes to watch it but then again I also remember the laughter on her face. Best wishes from the other side of the pond.

I took off my ramblings of the other day to do more research, and now have the answer. According to Director of Photography Simon Archer (he is the guy with the light meter you see in body warmer and short sleeved shirt) the reason they are shooting on super 16mm (with a pair of Arriflex 416 cameras from Procam take 2 hire company) is down to Martin Clunes wanting to do it the way he has been used to, and the look they say it gives them. (not sure any fans care but still....) And his wife is his co-producer in charge. So now I know...... thanks for the behind the scenes footage.
The 1st clip I saw of doc Martin Martin and Louisa on flight coming in I turned the TV off. Why. Because I knew I had a winner. A winner that needed my FULL attention. Not just to casually watch.
And a clueless tourist couple strolls through the camera area, and with a black poodle! The TV dog stayed in character and did not get flustered, a very good boi indeed!
If it takes so many people and time to film 15 secs of ‘film’, no wonder TV series are so expensive to produce and disruptive to the local community. I love Doc Martin.
@@davidrasch I know, but look at the camera crew...they're standing & sitting right next to each other. Maybe the make-up lady just had a bagel with onions & cream cheese?🤔🤔🤣🤣

As with any TV show.But Doc Martin have given back to the community correctly and have created a legacy that will give for years to come

8:32 The couple and the dog must be extras, they wouldn't let public walk thru, but I don't see the camera that catches them or facing Louisa.
It's the reflection of them to correspond with other takes when editing. Also similar thing with the postman!
