So lovely to see Horseshoe Curve again--especially with all those kids having such a good time! Loved the pelican (glad he caught lunch) and the recently fledged house sparrow (hollering for lunch) plus the big barges and all of that cool MOW equipment. And you're right: that beard was awesome!! Another great one--thank you so much!
Wow! Excellent catching all the trains, especially 2 BNSF military trains, Heritage Units, train meets, an adorable pelican, and so much more, I like them, @Virtual Railfan, thank you very much.
Enjoy Grab Bag ! The pelican said look at me having lunch and a Swim! Little Robin in Ashland said Thanks for the Close Up!😂😂😂! Good To See Danny Harmon ❤🎉

The Amtrak train at 16:00 is there probably because it is being led by an NS unit on CSX. That is not only unusual for being an NS unit leading Amtrak on CSX. I did not know that any NS units had cab signals qualified for the RF&P Sub, which has a different cab signal system than most others, because it was one of the first in the U. S., and requires (or did) a separate software package from all the others on CSX. Unless the rules have been changed, that NS unit would have to have working cab signals for that sub to lead. The RF&P system's uniqueness used to mean that there was a very limited pool of units that could lead on the RF&P, up until around the early '00s, when CSX started buying every new unit with cab signals that were qualified for every cab signal territory they own or use, and was a separate function on the computer screen cab signal menu.
All Dash-8s (C40-8W and B40-8W) on BNSF are ex-Santa Fe. I think warbonnets of them are what's rarest, which is saying something since the Dash-8s are mostly used in switching (if anywhere). Still VERY surprising that a warbonnet unit was put on a lashup...although, sadly, the reason may be scrapping.
I am curious about the e bells, is it a sample of a real bell(recording of a bell then played) or synthesized(like the sound come out from it is a made up)
I grew up in Belen. Santa Fe ran a profitable passenger rail line through there until 1970, when Amtrak was created. 3 of the 6 hotels closed, as did 4 of the 7 restaurants. The ice plant and bottling plant closed. 40% of the people in town moved away. Hollywood went there to make movies because of the run down buildings. The town rebounded when the passenger rail was recently reinstated and Hollywood taught the town how to write federal grants.
Its getting annoying pausing for each train cars the we can litterally see what name on it etc like tge conrail box car or chessie cat boxcar that we can clearly see it more annoying pausing for thise lineage cars with name other then that i enjoy vr train vids
Always great to see children enjoying the trains as they watch them go by.
26:28 Woo hoo, Danny Harmon appearing on VRF - now there's a great combination!
Yes sir it is
Must be Christmas!

Loved the photos of the guys at the end of the video! 😊
The sparrows 🐦of Ashland will be giving play by play of fallen flag railcars going by the rest of the summer 😮😉😊.

House Sparrow be like: "Hey now, I was taking a nap !"
Its a male with the black throat
the dash-8 and the crane car were cool!
That HSC video - look to the left. It was not just the kids who were excited.
11:20 is a good feild trip to have for sure.
And at 10:27 they just missed that the Virginian unit had to go back to work after its own field trip to the Masters Tournament.
Love the Horseshoe Curve, I can’t wait to go there again in the summer
Great catch of the elusive FGWX 700000!
@15:20. The window placement in that track equipment is reminiscent of the original Hiawatha observation cars of the mid-1930s
14:26 Cool Nice NS 4002.
Great video as always!
Thank you
The blue caboose brought back child hood memories I have a railroad behind my house k.c.s&u.p.line,🚂.

Awesome video! I’m going there in 2 weeks!
The "goose"hoppers are more likely to be ex-South Central Tennessee.....they had a fleet of them for wood chip service.
Annunaki Beard!
11:53, There's CSX 1827, the B&O heritage unit!
He pegged it. 😂
1:10 i saw one of these paired with a conrail coilshield earlier this month
5:33 The support steel beams need to be removed so we can see the trains better!
I’m absolutely flabbergasted that those old ATSF SC C40-8Ws still exist AND the fact that BNSF kept them is insane

Is a "Distant Signal Production" video from Decatur AL in the works? Only time will tell.
22:00 McDonalds? 🙃😉🤣
What was the string of BNSF locomotives in Oklahoma City?? They looked old but well-maintained.
I was wondering where you got the names for the cars then I saw today, now curious why? the children had a great time.
7:27 I feel bad for the people at the crossing
7:05 Gold Kist Car
I am curious about the e bells, is it a sample of a real bell(recording of a bell then played) or synthesized(like the sound come out from it is a made up)
Interesting that the Ferrosafe car is spraying but if you look up company they are out of business. Wonder who owns it now?
Is the Springfield MA cam being taken out or is it broken somehow?

As an American, I'm ashamed of our passenger rail.
Don't be it's way worse in Canada
