In mentioning the square, i've been reading up about the brigade and division squares used in the Leipzig campaign, where this tactic was used more than once because of the lack of french cavalry, movement being made in these large squares at no real impediment...
granapriego Thanks buddy. I’ve filmed the next 3. I’ll post them one at a time over next few days. But then there’ll be a small break as I’m off to Holland for a couple of days to visit family.
YES I KNOW MY VIDEO IS COMING BUDDY BUT REALLY YOURS ARE SO GREAT I AM PAINTING AND JUST HAVING FUN BUDDY BECAUSE YOU TOOK YOUR TIME OUT TO MAKE THESE.. THANK YOU...VID BY WES....JOHN PS LIKE THE MUSIC ....REALLY....I LIKE IT MAKES ME HAPPY.....LOL
nice one mate. you could of had mixed order.. where the lights in the battalion go out in front and screen the battalion. But are still part of the battalion.
pancakepayney payne Cheers Nath Yes I should of put it in here but it’s me, so I forgot again lol It’s in the movement video which will be out on Saturday. Consummate professional TH-camr 😂😂
+The Old Wargamer In my rules I give it as an option mostly because of limited space and ease of movement. I think the Austrians used the formation as a counter to the French columns. Kind of half line half column idea.
René Christensen Yes mate. I’ve based my ACW army exactly the same way. They didn’t tend to use the attack column in the ACW period though as far as I’m aware
Patriusprimus Lol. Thanks buddy. I will be doing. I’ve got more videos ready to go but didn’t want to bore people with hours of me waffling in one video. So I broke it down into manageable chunks. I’ll be posting one a day over the next few days.

It’s been a few years since I did these videos. I think Square is in the close combat video.?
It’s in the next video. Command and control
Can't get passed the lame music
It’s not everyone’s cup of tea. Limited choice of music on the iMovie app
