I'm watching this one year later, and I am working on getting the ceiling on the woodshop. A lot has changed since this video was made! This is the latest video from a year in the future where I tip-up half of the interior partition wall! th-cam.com/video/VUh8ULFav5w/w-d-xo.html
Self building my post frame house right now and have been fighting straightening my trusses with ratchet straps. Your clamp idea just saved me so much time! Great content!
Thanks RC! It's really not that hard - but it's time consuming! I'm doing the interior work for the woodshop right now, and you may be interested in some of that stuff as well. A lot of it's on my other channel: www.youtube.com/@TrapDoorWoodworks Good luck, and let me know if you have any questions.
I haven't recorded anything for five days now while the hunters were here and I was rushing to get the grade boards and rat boards installed. Yesterday I cut the door openings in the front, and had to run to town later in the day for the second half of the grade boards - the outer boards. Our excavator/concrete guy was supposed to stop by yesterday to level the place off with gravel and prepare for the concrete, but I told him later in the day or move it to today. Hopefully he will show up today and get the place ready for concrete!
I believe it was frost that morning. We have had below freezing weather at night the last couple of weeks. Starting tonight that will change as it will be getting a lot warmer at night for about a week. Good time to pour concrete! 😊
You're welcome C B, I laid them out and drilled them on the ground. Here is one of the videos that shows that: th-cam.com/video/SHyjLNxhTrA/w-d-xo.html

Hi Mojo, wow climbing up high like you were would not be good for my vertigo, their was a time heights of any kind would not be a problem.

Thanks Patty, that's pretty cold! I think our coldest day was 27℉! Hopefully the warm(ish) weather holds out until I can get this thing sealed-up!

Whats with the clamp u dont seem to have a use for?
I use the clamp in the video.
This work might be easy for monkeys if they can be trained coz they can naturally walk on rafters.
They would sure feel more at home up there than I did 😉
I gather you forgot to mark your trusses when laying flat stacked on the ground?
Not sure what you are talking about. The trusses were marked on the ground, and you can see the marks in the video 🤔
