I ❤️ his music but when you listen to it live it’s a different story. Concert was amazing. I regret i could not be closer to the stage and make a better sense recording but the concert hall was full.
True dear Friend, also i would pay to see Damien Schmitt playing drums with Herbie Hancock, this drummer IS versatile like crazy, i've Seen Damien Schmitt who has play actual proof and man it was so crazy good. Also i advise you to watch this on TH-cam: Damien Schmitt actual proof. And this too: Damien Schmitt trio alteisia live. Craziest thing i ever watched. So good. And yet i'm not a chops type of drummer. I'm more of an open minded 'jazz' drummer. My heroes are Will Kennedy and Kendrick Scott. But Damien Schmitt ... Goodness of Mercy, he played with Jean Luc Ponty. And Jean Luc Ponty Said: Damien Schmitt is one of the best drummer he had the occasion to play with. Very funny and humble too. @RinnertVanRanst i really like Branford Marsalis. I saw him long time ago. Since I am also into hip-hop (as you might notice based on my channel content) I very much liked his colab into Buckshot Lefonque. Hopefully 2025 Gent Jazz Days will also bring some great musicians.

the guitarist sounds dull and not fluid at all guitarist greg howe would have been a musical stellar choice in herbie hancock band lineup. i definitely avoid seeing this tour as much i enjoy listening to his music. 🎼🎹

I don't care for the Guitarist at all. I saw them in Madrid. Love Herbie but I like him better in a trio setting.
