I saw the glamour photoshoot that they were doing to promote the finals event and everyone was talking and joking and interacting with each other EXCEPT for miss b*tch face.
I think there are two sides to that argument. Some players do play worse against a friend. But if a player can block out their friendship on the court and still play her best, it could actually benefit her. Saba is friendly with Rybakina and Gauff for instance, and it may have allowed them to beat her this year.
Congrats to Zheng! Krejcikova made too many unforced errors. She didn't play at the same level as she did against Coco. Zheng needs to improve on defense against shots close to her feet. Especially on her backhand side.
Barbora had wayyyyy too many unforced eras and had plenty of opportunities and really choked on a number of them that she would regularly make in her sleep. That's unfortunate.
