Dub Camp 2022 W/ Sinai Sound System

This week we're going to take a look at the setup that I've built for Sinai Sound system, while we were at Dub Camp in France. This video was shot during sound check on the morning of our gig, hence cable trenches not being buried yet.
The system performed exceptionally well, covering 3k+ people in that tent. Many people commented it was one of, if not the best sound system at Dub Camp.

Good question. Sub drivers are 4 ohm and boxes are linked in pairs to present the amp with a 2ohm load. Kick drivers are 8 ohm, the smaller stacks only have 2 linked so a nominal 4 ohm load while the bigger stack has 4 linked so 2 ohm. The 12" are 16 ohm wired in parallel so each box is 8 ohm, then it's two boxes per channel on the smaller stacks giving 4 ohm loads, 3 linked on the bigger stack for a nominal 2.6 ohm load on the amp. The HF are the odd one out, we would have preferred to use 16 ohm wired in parallel but we already had loads of 8 ohm drivers, so we stuck with those. The HF are 8 ohm wired in series for a 16 ohm load per box, meaning the smaller stacks of 2 linked cabs present an 8 ohm load and the bigger stack with 3 linked gives a 5.3 ohm load. Yes this isn't ideal, but it would have cost ££££ extra to change the dozen HF drivers Huw already had, this works just fine.

Mad ting.. are those Paraflex really that good? I been to many Reggae events and heard 4 x stacks of 8 full size scoops all wired up to Powersoft K20's

With the right drivers, run in the right way, they can be very good indeed. For this event we covered 3k people with 8 subs!
