As a female attempting some things herself, thank you so much. This helped me to look at upgrading g the stereo system. The old one ended up being hard wired but Atleast I had it apart already for the auto elect ☺️
Another great video, but it is missing a crucial component- how to wire up the UHF, including how to get the antenna cable through the firewall to the radio. Can you please show us how to do that?
The Ultraguage is definitely the pick between that and scanguage 2. The scan gauge 3 could well change that, but I haven't had a close enough look at it yet to say.
Morning. Can I ask how you mounted the cb behind the air con controller. Not sure if I want to screw into that white plastic as inside of what’s behind it. Thabks
I used one existing screw (remove and install plate, then put screw back into the same hole). The other screw was into the matching hole on the other side that doesn't have a screw in it. No need to drill any new holes in the white plastic.
Hey There, I'm looking at your UHF install and wondering from where can I get the mount to bolt into the 2 screws that you mentioned in the video. Thanks
Yes, the MX provides transmission temperature functionality which makes it the best choice. However, it doesn't work (yet) on post-2015 models as Toyota have changed the codes. It should be programmable again once someone gets into their system and finds out what the new codes are!
Good to know and thanks for the quick reply. I have a 2013 VX so that might work nicely then. i am looking at getting the the Richards Auto Electrical torque lock up and the transmission temp reduction seemed like a good benefit.
Great video. Do you have any tips on setting up the Ultragauge to the 200 Landcruiser? I have just installed the MX 1.3 into my 2013 GXL diesel. I am trying to get a usable fuel display and it won't find the fuel sensor for the Smart mode. Any help would be great.
+Gampi Cam Unfortunately, the 200 doesn't send fuel sender info out of the OBD port, so none of the OBD gauges (Ultragauge, scangauge etc) can access that info. The only way to use the trip computer functionality is to do a manual calibration (see the UG manual), then manually enter fuel level and fuel added each time. It will never be perfect though, especially if you do partial fills, because even a very small error in calibration will compound over time. Nothing can be done about it unfortunately.
+Australian Images Your M Gauge codes on your website were a real help as are all your videos and tech data. All very well explained and easy to follow. You have inspired me look at doing the torque converter lockup, any recommendations on which unit to install?
Aziz D No, I've never had a problem. It is right next to the air conditioning ducting, so that should help keep it cool, and the only time the unit really generates heat is when you're transmitting, which is usually only for short periods anyway.
Hi...great video thanks! Just a quick question...do you have any problems hearing the UHF unit being back in the dash, or do you run an aux speaker? Thanks
Fair dinkum I'd be nervous doing this on a $100k+ vehicle. For peace of mind I'd shell out a hundred bucks or so and let a pro who knows what he's doing pull the dash apart.

Awesome thanks for providing a solution for the project I am about to endure hope I can achieve it as easy as you made it look. 👍

I haven't got a video of that specifically, but you can see some pics and info about running the wiring here: www.project200.com.au/fusebox/
A great job well done
Still happy with the ultra gauge? Would you buy the same one again?

What model Ultra Gauge did you select for the 200? I have a VX and looking to get one and from what I read the MX would be the model to choose

+Gampi Cam. Sorry, just read the website details and saw your preference for the Richard's Auto unit. Thanks again
Doesn't get overheated in this place?

Where can you buy a Ultra Gauge from
I believe you can only get them direct. ultra-gauge.com/ZC/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=57
thank you

+Greg Upton To each their own. But I've seen plenty of 'pros' who only know how to pull a dash apart after they watch a video like this one!
