So happy to hear you say moisturizing daily is okay for your hair. My hair is 4c , extremely dry! I will add your practice of conditioner for 3min. I love you for sharing your practices, your Locs are thriving Sis. ❤️
Thank you so much! 🫶🏾 Yes I have to because my hair gets extremely dry too! Conditioner definitely will help out, but make sure it’s all rinsed out to prevent buildup. Do what’s best for your hair! 💕
Wow, I had a nightmarish flash back of being a “product junky” as a loose natural. 😄 For me, transitioning to locs took my products down to 3 staples… shampoo, water based leave in conditioner, and EVOO+essential oil mixture for scalp and hair. I have never used any products when getting reties and I’m 3 years in. My hair is thriving. Nice video though.
This is what I did when I had locs years ago. Dark and lovely peppermint shampoo was fantastic and creme of natute conditioner followed evo. Deep conditioner every few months. Not sure if the shampoo or conditioner still available.
I appreciate this video! My wife has scheduled a re-tie appointment with me this morning. (I’m her novice loctician 😊) I had seen how healthy your hair looks in previous videos and I was showing my wife. She just started her loc journey about a year or two ago. She trust me to take care of her hair so that we can save money which is a HUGE honor because she’s very picky and specific. The products that my wife and I saw in this video peeked our interest. So, we thank you again! 🙏🏽 These tips are going to bring me confidence with re-tying her hair and will give my wife confidence with maintaining her hair.
I’ve been thinking about locking my for the past 2 years and finally decided to take the lunge ! My microlocs installation date is booked for august. I would have done it myself but decided to but interlock the length
Not the algorithm hiding your video from me 🤦🏾♀️ i'm trying to find balance. My shaft needs moisture, but my ends unlock when I introduce moisture. Even after 2 years. My ends reverted to curls 😮💨
Keke, you REALLY got me thinking about installing these locs by my damn self, girl!! Question...When you installed your locs (2 strand twists) did you interlock them at the same time? Or did you wait until a couple weeks to retie/interlock?
Oh No - is the twisting paste discontinued? The amazon link comes up "NaturAll Jamaican Black Castor Oil & Chebe Braiding Gel" and the Avocado & Kiwi Twisting Paste doesn't come up in Amazon search 😕
Damn it now these videos keep getting recommended. And I keep watching them because she's beautiful. I'm an old white guy I don't give a crap about hair and makeup and clothes. But I can't stop watching her 😂😂😂😒
Hello, I love the education that you provide. I'm a busy mom of an infant and toddler. I want to get locs to inspire my daughter to love her natural hair. Can you happen to recommend any locticians to do my install in the Atlanta/Gwinnett County area?
just bought the lion locs moisturizer, thank you for the recommendations! just for clarification, do you use this product everytime you spray your hair with moisturizer/everyday?
I HAVE BEEN RESEARCHING WHERE TO START WHEN IT COMES TO SISTERLOCKS OR MICROLOCS AND I AM LEANING TOWARDS THE MICROLOCS BUT SHEESH IT SEEMS LIKE THOSE COST MORE TO INSTALL THEN THE SL'S AND I'M IN CALI .... I HAD ONE PERSON TELL ME SHE CAN START MY ML'S THE TWIST METHOD FOR $650 AND $1250 FOR THE INTERLOCKING METHOD.... SHEESH !!! SO I'LL CONTINUE TO RESEARCH
Thank you for your tips I've had my locs in for about a year and a half, and im still looking for what works. I'm trying to stop the build-up. My locs are growing, but im still figuring it out. I feel like my locs are not staying loc'd at the roots
You’re so welcome! ❤ It can take some time to find the right products, but it will happen! How often are you moisturizing? Also, do you retwist or retighten?
I’m in search of a gentle shampoo. I’m a runner and wash weekly so I don’t want to use something too clarifying that regularly. Do you feel the Honey Fresh shampoo by TPH is gentle enough?
I’m so excited for your loc journey! The products I mentioned should definitely help. Lion locs products and the NaturAll twisting paste I’ve been using since the beginning!
I'm 2.7 years in. I wash every 8-9 days. That being said this has PRODUCT JUNKIE vibes. I use shampoo, watered down conditioner, sprit daily with homemade rosmary water, no scalp oil and super light serum 2-3 times between washes. I also shake my hair out 2-3 times per day. Cover hair with satin for sleeping , laying around and while cooking. Retwist myself wih Talia Waajid lock tight. Very light twist just to clean up. No updo styles for me. Too much junk in this routine. Defeats the pros. Walking around a month with this gunk in your hair is actually nasty. Again I wash my hair every 8 to 9 days and I use a fraction of this crap. Newbies move on

Listen to your hair first and every thing else (TH-cam, blogs) second. For healthy hair, your hair is king!
Thank you so much! 🫶🏾

Glad it was helpful!
Glad it was helpful!
How do you keep you ends flat? I see a lot of micro locs with fluffy or puffy ends.

She started her own locs
@tlclocsbysonja
Your hair is beautiful! But that is alot of products for me. Hopefully I can get it done done with 3 or less products 😂

Keke what are your thoughts on Aloe Vera juice for locs?
Thank you for your tips

Where did you get the sleep turbine? I didn't see it on IG links

How do you keep your locs from being frizzy
Hey Keke any product suggestions for starter locs. Got my locs installed but don’t know what product I need to use to maintain it.
I’m so excited for your loc journey! The products I mentioned should definitely help. Lion locs products and the NaturAll twisting paste I’ve been using since the beginning!
What size are your locs if you don’t mind me asking
Are you still a loc specialist?
😍😍😍

I had to start conditioning my locs. Listening to everyone push this rosewater and oil almost had me bald headed
