I’m glad you mentioned Pattycake Peoductions. I’m hoping you do a reaction to their latest - Into The Storm. Layne and Tony (former VP.baritone) wrote the original song and Tony does all the costumes. It stars Jessica Voss, who played Elphaba on Broadway.
To clarify, Layne co-owns Pattycake Productions with Tony Wakim, who was VP's baritone before J. None. Tonty prefers being behind the camera rather than on. He designs a lot of the costumes for Pattycake (he made the dress Rachel Potter wears in Phantom of the Opera) as well as writing and performing new material for Pattycake videos, like singing lead in Bump In the Night. VP and Geoff film a lot of their videos there because they can get a deal on renting studio space (ha!) as well as the set dressing and equipment available. Tony often helps direct and film, and is sometimes drafted to appear on screen, like in Kidnap the Sandy Claws (he's in the Oogie Boogie costume) or the messenger in Hellfire. Geoff said he had worked on this arrangement for a long time but didn't have a satisfying idea for the video until their makeup guy Rick suggested the theme of one guy infecting the next. Not sure how Kathy came to be Zombie Zero but she was a great sport about it. She found Greta the Gruesome doll at a Halloween store, and Rick made up Kathy and the doll to look alike in case it was visible when Layne kicks it away. It's a scary song but VP still injects humor, like Eli's reaction to getting sneezed on, or J's look of annoyance after Geoff pops up (with hidden help from Cesar and Layne) zombiefied. And did you notice that Geoff does not blink during the narration?
I wonder if you have listened to Kurt Hugo Schneider ft. Voiceplay. They do a wonderful version of "Waving Through A Window." Where Eli is the lead singer. That's where Eli comes into his best.
VoicePlay and Geoff's videos are not particularly DONE by Pattycake. They use the space. Sometimes Tony directs for VoicePlay (once he filmed on his iPhone because they couldn't get a camera operator), and Layne has done some steady cam work for Geoff. That's pretty much it.
J None is the last to fall - He possesses dance moves! VoicePlay had a fun take of Layne coming up on J None and pushing the carrot on him. J kept pushing him away so whenever there was an opportunity for a carrot placement (I think the earliest was in You're a Mean One Mr. Grinch) from Layne to J and it eventually led to Layne's 1st nickname (Carrot Lord followed later by VioLayne). Tony Wakim (baritone for VoicePlay in the Sing-Off times. Surely you've reacted to VoicePlay's Phantom of the Opera w/ Rachel Potter! ). After that Tony wanted to get into productions so he and Layne are co-owners of Pattycake Productions. Nearly all of both Geoff's solos and VoicePlay videos are usually done at Pattycake, and their shorts are done outside Pattycake's doors, although they moved down the mall when they were doing Super Mario Brothers just outside the GameStop for that one. In the Air Tonight (Phil Collins) was done outside the backdoor of Pattycake.
I don’t know if I just missed it or not, but have you done their cover of Tennessee Whiskey? It’s got the most impressive run I’ve ever heard. Not just because it’s a complex run, but because they hit it in five part harmony.
Layne, the Carrot King, tries to sneak on in all the time. You may notice that Layne shoots a carrot into the Calderon at the end of Hall of the Mountain King. It makes them all disappear. From what I've read, Layne is a real jokester. For some reason, he teased JNone with a carrot. J just can't seem to get the joke. Layne played even harder. It's got to the point that the carrot has become a carrot-ture of it's own. Like, Where's carrot-do?

Kathy Castellucci is in "Into the Storm" too!
My favorite part of this is the vocal fry Geoff uses on “Your body starts to shiver.”
Thanks for this reaction to VoicePlay's "Thriller." They never disappoint!

I’ve heard it was also Tony’s back we see in Hellfire when he says the prisoner has escaped.
@@DennisKovacich Eli did the voice, but yes, it's Tony we see from behind.
Yup knew you would love this I love watching your videos and yes the carrot lord makes an appearance lol thank you
Yes, Layne’s torment of J via carrots goes back years!

Geoff looks like he's been put on the spot, so he just goes with it 😂
Then, he gets taken and comes back as a Zombie 🧟♂️
Love your reaction so much! Keep up the good work! Can't wait for your next reaction! 😃

@@Gael4ce There’s also a complicated three part run in Bang!
