- In our new episode of RIDE we are flying once again to Ireland to visit the famous Connemara Ponies. This time we are at the Cashelbay Connemara Pony Stud. Founded in 1983 it is today best known for ponies suitable for work and performance. Visit with us the stunning yard and see the beautiful Ponies and their offsprings.

Excellent video. I fell in love with this breed when we moved to the West of Ireland. My husband is an artist and has been doing a unique series of paintings of them. I'm a photographer and love photographing them. They truly have a sweet and agreeable nature and are such a pleasure to interact with. We kept a few on our small property for a couple of months so my husband could have easy access to them for painting and drawing. We both grew very attached to them and they have returned to graze our land a few times. We were lucky to have a local neighbour lend them in this way. This is a very, very special breed, unlike any other breed.
I grew up in Largo, Florida. In the 1960s a farmer had Connemara Ponies and gave riding lessons on them. The farm has long since been replaced with homes and stores, I've not seen the breed since here but I'm sure there are many as their such a wonderfully sweet pony.

Hi, from Texas! Just found your video, moments aftseer discovering a Connemara pony filly/mare at one of the horse auction/sale pens in No. Texas! So sad that another nice horse found itself in such an awful situation. Hoping to rescue this one and research for more info and to help her. I enjoyed the story of buying your first pony for 80 p. This little girl is going for $1250 US! A nice gray in pitifuil shape but she'll be healthy and beautiful again soon, Lord willing. Please keep up the great videos! Be blessed :)

Connemara pony society is a closed shop you would want to be in within someone at the top to get a pony classed as class one it is all a racket 👎🏻
