My dad was a trucker in Siberia in m his 20s during the 80s, there, at that time, you had to pass a 18 month school to become a mechanic in order to work on your own rig, the trips were long through the tundra mostly alone, icy roads, no braking capability once you head down a slope, this looks kind of relaxing in comparison to his horror storied back in the USSR, some truckers died or froze to death, your life depended on your rig running to keep you warm at night.
