    Thanks, John. The video and your personal consultation helped immensely. I am keeping your number on speed dial so all my bikes keep rolling.

      Hello! Thank you for your kind words. I have most of the Tracomp spokes (or compatible substitutes) on my website that can be found here: www.mavicparts.com/collections/mavic-mountain-spokes/products/mavic-crossmax-slr-disc-zircal-bladed-spokes-black-2007-thru-2011?variant=1195954773
      Thanks for your comment. -John

    Nice to finally see some recent info on the R-Sys rims!!
    Do you have any info on how to true the carbon spokes? My problem is that I have no idea how to check the tension on a carbon spoke? Ive got the middle ring out and ready to adjust but what am i adjusting it to? or how? Its crazy that there is nothing online about this....
    Ive spent the past 2 years being referred to the Mavic 2008 Technical Manual and it doesnt give you the faintest idea how to do it...Mavics response was 'take it to a mavic dealer'...of which there are zero here in NW UK. bloody useless!!

      You are correct about little to no info on the tension of Tracomp spokes on line or elsewhere...very frustrating! I can only shine some light on rear R-SYS wheels. As per usual when tensioning a rear wheel, you only focus on the tension of the drive side spokes while adding enough tension to the NDS spokes to bring the wheel into proper dish. Regarding the front, I wouldn't be surprised if Mavic has a special tension meter specifically for Tracomp spokes. I hope that this helps!

    Great Video! Does the Mavic R-SYS SLR (2013) wheel need the tracomp spokes or can they all eventually just be replaced with all aluminum spokes--like the ones on the rear drive side?

      Thanks Eddie! The R-SYS, or any other wheel that is designed to use Tracomp spokes have to continue to use Tracomp spokes because of the design of the hub flange(s). The aluminum and the Tracomp spokes are not interchangeable. I hope that this info helps!

    Hey, is the tool for the spokes a M7? Thnks

    • @RogueMechanic
      @RogueMechanic  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey! For any wheel that uses Tracomp spokes, you will need the "New M7" for the 6.4mm diameter spoke interface diameter. The part number for the Mavic tool is 99607901 and for Park, it's the SW-12. I hope that this helps!

    What spoke model for the R sys SLR 2015? Same as 2013+? On the non drive side

    • @RogueMechanic
      @RogueMechanic  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If your R-SYS SLR is indeed a 2015, the NDS spokes is different than the 2011 (R-SYS SLR). If it is a 2015, then the part number for the front and non-drive side spoke is V4161301. If you send me the serial number of your wheel(s), I should be able to verify the model year.
