Cool video. Store looks great, but it's also about an hour away from where I live in NJ. I was able to score the Stoney and Meatloaf CD during Real Gone Music's website sale and only paid $8.99! It is now back at the $21.99 price. For me, Factory Records and Scotti's Record Store are closest to me, and both have a lot of CDs.
It used to be across the street, back in the 70’s and 80’s. Spent endless hours in the late 70’s flipping through the record bins. I lived right around the block.
Shame you weren’t at Jacks yesterday. We might’ve run into each other. I’m usually there once a week. Quite a few of the cds I have in my collection came from Jacks. If you ever shop there again, maybe I’ll see you there.
One thing I notice about all these stores you have visited in NJ are the aisle space and of course selection, but the ability to browse is incredible! As you know the city stores forget it, some are great of course but you are lucky if you can browse any of them.
That Randy Meisner (1978) album is fantastic. I actually purchased it a little over a month ago, ended paying $30 for it off eBay. Man I wish we had stores like this even in a 3 hour radius of us. At least now I have Meisner's main 3 solo albums, what a talent he was.
I’m local to the area. Just picked up a bunch of used U2 cd’s for $2.99 a pop. Looked close to brand new when opening them. Great store for used especially.
loving this record store series! i'm not even a metal guy at all (although i grew up surrounded by metalheads in the 80's) i'm like the rap version of brendon. . .a middle age guy who loves record stores and can't own enough cd's lol not quite at 12K yet but i hit the 1000 mark not too long ago. . cheers!
Excellent store for choices and prices. I would have loved to browse through the Jayhawks section. A cool way for you to have started 2024 Brendon. Enjoy your purchases, look forward to seeing you wear the duran duran t- shirt in future videos.
So happy you rolled out to Jack’s Music in Red Bank. One of my last visits there before I moved to Florida, I cleaned out the metal used section, ended up going home with almost 40 CDs because the prices were amazing. Again, like I mentioned in a previous video, usually spend some time in Red Bank when I go and end the day at Patrizia’s - the Italian restaurant right next door. Three spots I’m gonna recommend, but it’s gonna be a bit of a car ride… Sky Valley Records in Somerdale, NJ. This is an awesome shop, more so if you are looking for vinyl. Chuck has CDs but the CD section is small compared to the vinyl section. The Record Collector in Bordentown NJ. A little further south than Princeton Record Exchange. They have a good CD section. It’s been a while since I’ve been there, but a buddy just went and came home with a nice haul. Positively Records in Levittown, PA. It’s not far from Princeton Record Exchange all. Not sure how you go when you run to PREX but if you are on Rt 1 or even 295, either will get you to Positively. This place used to be at one end of the strip mall and had so much stuff in such a tight space it was overwhelming, but never left with less than $100 worth of stuff. They have since moved to a new spot in the same strip mall, a bigger place. Still an enormous selection. They often have great sales with the used stuff, like 3/$5, $2 a pc, stuff like that. If you ever have the time and a chance to run a little further south, I’d wholeheartedly recommend those to. That said, my buddy mentioned above, just ran up to Sound Exchange and is in love with the store. That’s a quick shout out for Anthony. Great haul. Love Jack’s. Man… making me really wanna get back to NJ to hit up these spots!
Nice. I watched Secret of My Success Last week, so I followed up by picking up that Yello Essential that you browsed in your travels through the store. Keep up the great vids!
That place looks awesome... all those cds id be there for hours!!!! Jealous lol....wish we had stores like that in my neck of the woods! Going to check out the Meatloaf . Thanks for sharing the new finds!
. Too bad you didn't bump into Springsteen or Bon Jovi. They are locals there. Been to Jacks many times, A good place to go to but go to Princeton Record Exchange next. My opinion its better than Jacks
I ❤ the vintage Duran Duran tee shirt 👕. I saw them on their Future Past Tour. It was a highlight of 2023. It is always fun to visit different record stores.
I'm surprised they're putting 99cent CDs in plastic bags. Seems like that would cut into the very minimal profit (if any) they're getting from those. I guess it makes sense if those discs were previously $5 or more and then they decided to mark them down to get rid of them. But still.
I was surprised any of them were in plastic. They were sealing $2 and $3 CDs. But all of the used records didn’t have outer sleeves. 🤷♂️🤦♂️ But I did love the vast amount of CDs and music to go through. 👍
I coudn't believe my Eyes. Not buying the Destruction Best Of CD for 3.99 was a mistake if you haven't the disc already. Excellent Euro Thrash Metal. Cheers from Germany.
Brendan I know you’ve been getting some CDs by The Outlaws. Let me recommend a few that you may not have. I would recommend Dixie Highway Diablo Canyon and ghost riders
Ok I’m going to give you benefit of the doubt that you already have Empty Glass by Pete Townsend. I don’t. So would have jumped on it for .99 cents. Love these videos!
I think there are good stores everywhere you just have to search them out. I lived in NYC for over 20 years before I found an amazing one that had been there the whole time. Then I moved to NJ and lived here for a year and half before finding this one. There are still others I’m aware of but never visited. Then there are ones that I went to and will not return to. If I only knew of those first few bad ones then I would also think there aren’t many good stores.
@@BrendonSnyder very true. I have a list of about 6 stores around me I still have to check out. I mostly go into the city ( chicago) for shopping, but the suburbs now have a lot of newer record shops. Happy 2024 to ya.
Anthony is a music fan first before being a store owner. He I go to other record stores together so he has no issue with me shopping at stores that aren’t his.
Wow, excellent prices in that store, even converted to Canadian, and a terrific selection! I wish we had a store like that here in Niagara.
These are your best videos. Love them.
Glad you enjoy them!
..i remember when they were across the street...have been there in years...looks like they have really reasonable prices...
I repete actually with my Band and this is really hot 😜 France EU Many Thanks Mr !
You know this is great expérience to live Music 👍
That WASP album is superb you picked up in the store . The title track is a monster of a song.

I like it ! Clean , bright and a lot of music 🎉🎉🎉
Red bank rules 🎉❤

❤❤❤ love it , i like to be in your shoes and bought for a lot off money cd's.
this store has really great price for used metal stuff. Destruction is one of those!!
Brendon where is your go to spot in the Montclair Essex County area??
Hey that place was in the Kevin Smith movie, Chasing Amy! It was next door to their office. Impressive it’s still there!
A new record store called vinyl king in Kenvil NJ just opened up near my house has a lot of Metal you should check out.
That Kerry Livgren AD is christian rock, sounds like STYX
I know 👍
Ill have to checl this one out thank you
I'd like to go to the record stores again. A friend just went to an auction and gave me 35 cassettes.

Jack’s has been around since 1959 I believe.
Wil Martin of Earshot is a great vocalist and so is the band. If you can find the other two releases those are even better.
The simple shirt is the one to get.
Forget the hits….the self-titled debut album (1972) from Manfred Mann’s Earth Band is the one to own. A little known masterpiece, beloved by cultists.
All the ladies know I got that Long Wave
That new Power Trip live in Seattle jams.
Good store with great prices 🎉❤
When you buy music in a store like this do you worry about forgetting what you already own and buying duplicates?
Not at all. I know what I have. It’s all in my head. 👍
@BrendonSnyder That's impressive! I admit to consulting my Discogs inventory while shopping sometimes.
If you’re ever near Pa, you should check out a place called Spin Me Round Records in Easton Pa.
Watch their videos...that place looks huge!
Bjork wreaks my head !
Your trips to the record stores… I love them👍👌

So Brendon you don't like traveling or going on vacation to far-flung places??
Nice. I watched Secret of My Success Last week, so I followed up by picking up that Yello Essential that you browsed in your travels through the store. Keep up the great vids!
Saw some great prices on certain CDs. Clean place. Nice video. Brendon 👍💯

Brendon, Awesome Finds. Great little Shop.
Looked like a great store with some good prices on their cds!
Some really good Cds, great video. Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it

I bet that was a cool show! 👍

I could understand discs that were more costly as an anti-theft device, but yeah, anything under $5 seems silly.@@BrendonSnyder
I haven't heard the Ghost debut in a while, but I loved it when it was new and spooky. It's one I need to go back to soon, for sure.
Awesome record store…..I noticed a Grant Lee Buffalo cd. Very underrated band.
Cool record store. 🤘😎🤘
Her bro, can you grab me that fastway lp I will be forever in your det lol
Haha…I’m sure lots of people would love me to be their personal shopper! 😂
Great side job!!!😂
Stax of wax delivery services

Mothers Finest \m/ \m/ That Bass Player 🔥
You pointed out a LOT of good ones. Prices are fair also. I could see myself spending a lot at that place.
That's exactly what I thought! Good prices on their cds.
Why haven't you gone to Scotti's in Summit, NJ?
Haven’t heard of it.
That allman brothers comp I had on cassette in the 80s
Those tee shirts looked sweet
here in the Dallas area the Toadies (one of the good background songs) played live on the Dallas TV New Year’s eve show
Brendan I know you’ve been getting some CDs by The Outlaws. Let me recommend a few that you may not have. I would recommend Dixie Highway Diablo Canyon and ghost riders
Did you know that Jacks was used in the kevin smith film chasing Amy?
No, I don’t know that. Cool! 👍
Ok I’m going to give you benefit of the doubt that you already have Empty Glass by Pete Townsend. I don’t. So would have jumped on it for .99 cents. Love these videos!
Yes it was my first Pete Townsend solo album. 👍
Nothing cool about Duran Duran 😂
looked like a great store.. i believe the east coast has better stores than the west cost does.

Hello from France brendon, if anthony watches this vidéo, don't be jealous, brendon likes always you😂😂😂.
See you later brendon ❤
Anthony is a music fan first before being a store owner. He I go to other record stores together so he has no issue with me shopping at stores that aren’t his.
I want to move to New Jersey just because of their record stores.
