@@BrendonSnyderwe have a Newbury comics which basically stocks new cd releases and one small independent that basically deals with metal. Thank God for Amazon and eBay 😂. I was wondering your thoughts on the Dirty Shirley cd you showed.
Fantastic record shop Brendon! And beautiful storefront. Looked like you were in Camden (UK). Love that H. R. Giger Debbie Harry cover! Enjoy your finds and weekend, cheers from Morten.
Fantastic trip Brendon, down into the musical rabbit hole. I also like how you just show us stuff, no need for blah blah commentary, and the type inset works fine to give small info. Hard to find anything like that here in Australia. It makes me want to fly there and lose myself in CD wonderland. Yeah im a bit jealous! "Keep on Rockin in the Free World" mate.
Doctor Eddie Ganja here Reminds me of some of The independent record stores when I was a young man and reminds me of The late great Johnny and Marsha Zazula
I used to know Prescott Niles who was the bass player for The Knack. He gave my buddy/bandmate guitar lessons and he sold me a kick-ass Yamaha drum kit! i wish I still had it!
@@BrendonSnyder I’m sure it’s total boo boo but I dig that artwork for that live album. Too bad they didn’t have the first two albums there. Those two albums rip. Especially Sufficiently Breathless.
@@braindeadrichard ...I'm more of their debut kind guy. Got that for Xmas 1972...SB on Xmas 1973...and was disappointed. No Bobby Caldwell & the Hard Rock with odd meter was sorta gone. Decades later & went back. Some of it is like early Santana & I really dig it now. The debut to me is just special.
@@BrendonSnyder Agree. I pick up everything by these guys. The original 3 LPs (all framed) then the cds. Tell you what...it took a long time for the original albums to be released domestically. I was about to buy a Japan cd of the debut ($35) & just happened to be visiting the Record Store down the street (called TRACKS, kinda like PEACHES) & damn, they had the debut album on cd for $7.99 About cried listening to it on the ride home. ;-)
@@jazzpunk the self titled is just as good, I think I like SB more because that was my introduction to them my co worker old man Jeff put me on to them and White Witch years ago.

I’m always amazed by the amount of selection these stores have that you go to.
Me too! I couldn’t believe the amount of CDs at this store!
Have to say...a little envious you have those great places to go to 😅. That place is like cd heaven .Thanks for sharing!
I’m grateful for all the record stores I have at my fingertips.

Gene loves jezebel is way underrated. Love his voice.
Such an amazing band.

Didn’t expect to see a live Captain Beyond record that’s mad sweet.
Unfortunately the quality isn’t great but it’s cool for historical reasons.

I seen you holding up Modern English, After The Snow. I can't wait till their new album next month
I would spend $200+ no problem, that place has so many vinyls that are hard to find nowadays 😅
Yep! I know what you mean! 👍
That store owner sure does love The Toadies haha underrated 90s band for sure
It’s a great album. They played the whole recorded so that’s why you’re hearing it a lot.
I wish I lived near stores like this. The closest record store to me is about 600 kms away. Ugh.
Brand X...too avant-garde? We'll get you there. ;-) Incidentally, that Captain Beefheart album is a much, much tougher listen.
I’ve been trying to decipher the code on the Toad the Wet Sprocket album image but have been unsuccessful. 😅
Which Doors album is your favorite now, Brendon?
Still the debut. But I also really like Strange Days and L.A. Woman
Morrison Hotel (1970) deserves to feature more prominently in Doors’ fans ‘best of’ lists, but for me, L.A. Woman remains a perennial favourite.
Recently heard you say you grew up in the Tampa Bay Area. What were your favorite record stores when you lived there?
Aces in Tampa, Peaches in Clearwater, Bananas in St. Pete. Of those 3 Bananas still exists.

😎👍
I wonder why they cover the bar codes?
So the used CDs are not confused with new CDs.
What’s this….in 2024, a high street music emporium carrying stocks of Captain Beefheart product?
