- A dog stayed at his owner’s grave day and night and everyone was confused, until they discovered why. Funerals are always a sad affair for everyone involved. But what about the animals who get left behind? Usually, these pets are taken in by relatives or given to a shelter so that they can find their new forever home. However, the dog in this story did something much different. When one man lost his life trying to stop some criminals, people were amazed to see how his dog wouldn’t leave his grave’s side. What a heartbreaking story of a Police Officer being killed in the line of duty. I think he should have had Sergeant by his side to watch his back, and, or called for backup, & he would have probably not been killed. I think the Officer cared more about protecting his dog’s life, than his own! Police dogs are very well trained & most dogs have much better sense of smell; 40 times better, & 4 times better hearing than humans. They can pinpoint exactly where the sound is coming from. He really loved his owner & he stayed by his grave in order to hopefully catch the criminals; but also because of the bond between them. This story actually makes the tears flow! 😭 I would love to have a good Police Dog!! Thank you for sharing this sad, but precious story & Lord Jesus be with you all. 👏

Won't question truth of story but to arrest the two on bases of dog regunition,, can bring guestion in court of mistaken identity, Dog don't mistake identity for they go more on scent , but for officer to make an arrest, he would had to know identity, and description of suspect at time of the crime.

You see, Animals are more Intelligent than humans....
While this brought tears to my eyes as I listened to the story of the dog and his officer companion, I had a feeling that somehow that dog was going to be able to get the two men who killed that policeman. The end of the story was both beautiful and also sad, but so happy to hear the dog would now probably have peace about his master's death.
This is just one of the reasons I love dogs better than cats, because of their strong loyalty, even in some cases, after they have been injured themselves. I love cats just prefer to own dogs. Do not have any now because of my age, because I do not want to die and leave the dog alone to perhaps have to have a different owner, or perhaps even put into an Animal Shelter.
