Retail investor Meena Bakhai on Nvidia: I'm a long-term investor and I believe in its CEO

- Meena Bakhai, first-generation immigrant from rural India, invested $10,000 in Nvidia in 2011 at $0.37 per share. She joins CNBC's 'Power Lunch' to discuss her current outlooks on the stock, her journey from electrical engineering to trading, and more.
In recent weeks, investors have become concerned that Nvidia has simply come too far, too fast, and they are wondering whether the hectic pace of AI adoption could continue. Nvidia answered that question with a resounding "yes," but given the stock's parabolic gains, blockbuster results simply weren't enough.I'm still looking for companies to make additions to my $550K portfolio, to boost performance. Here for ideas...
Safest approach i feel to tackle it is to diversify investments. By spreading investments across different asset classes, like bonds, real estate, and international stocks, they can reduce the impact of a market meltdown. its important to seek the guidance of an expert
A lot of folks downplay the role of advisors until being burnt by their own emotions. I remember couple summers back, after my lengthy divorce, I needed a good boost to help my business stay afloat, hence I researched for licensed advisors and came across someone of utmost qualifications. She's helped grow my reserve notwithstanding inflation, from $375k to $850k.
This is definitely considerable! think you could suggest any professional/advisors i can get on the phone with? i'm in dire need of proper portfolio allocation
@@MichelleBennett-g6d ‘Grace Adams Cook’ is the licensed advisor I use. Just research the name, you’d find necessary details to work with a correspondence to set up an appointment.
My CFA ‘Grace Adams Cook’ , a renowned figure in her line of work. I recommend researching her credentials further. She has many years of experience and is a valuable resource for anyone looking to navigate the financial market.
NVDA for me has too much volatility and limited upside at current market cap. however, forward P/E is about 33 (cheap for a high growth stock). I'm thinking of expanding the variety in my $400K stock portfolio, but I'm not sure how to handle risks going forward.
navigating market volatility can be challenging, it might be beneficial consulting with an advisor to provide personalized insights based on your specific situation and financial position

Viviana Marisa Coelho is her name. She is regarded as a genius in her area and works for Empower Financial Services. By looking her up online, you can quickly verify her level of experience. She is well knowledgeable about financial markets.
Thank you for the lead. I searched her up, and I have sent her a message. I hope she gets back to me soon.
As an investment enthusiast, I often wonder how top level investors are able to become millionaires off investing. I do have a significant amount of capital that is required to start up but I have no idea what strategies and direction I need to approach to help me make over $400k like some people are this season.
I believe the safest approach is to diversify investments especially under professional; guide. You can mitigate the effects of a market meltdown by diversifying their investments across different asset classes such as stocks, etfs etc It is important to seek the advice of an expert.
Review your portfolio with a professional and don't make the same mistakes again. Diversify, as in your stock portfolio, and hopefully consult a professional. The key to building wealth is long term. I learned 30 years ago that you have to keep emotions (rookie) out of your investment decisions at all cost. Now, i've made over 800k in profits from my 350k investment.
That does make a lot of sense, unlike us, you seem to have the Market figured out. Who is this coach?
I have worked with a few financial advisors before now but i ultimately settled for Annette Marie Holt. She is SEC regulated and licensed in US. You can easily look her up
I appreciate it. After searching her name online and reviewing her credentials, I'm quite impressed. I've contacted her as I could use all the help I can get. A call has been scheduled.

I agree that there are strategies that could be put in place for solid gains regardless of economy or market condition, but such executions are usually carried out by investment experts or advisors with experience.
Reason I decided to work closely with an brokerage-adviser ever since the market got really tensed and the pressure became so much(I should be retiring in 17months) so I've had an brokerage-adviser guide me through the chaos, its been 9months and counting and I've made approx. 650K net from all of my holdings.
Glad to have stumbled on this comment, Please who is the consultant that assist you and if you don't mind, how do I get in touch with them?
Elisse Laparche Ewing is the licensed fiduciary I use. Just research the name. You’d find necessary details to work with a correspondence to set up an appointment.
She appears to be well-educated and well-read. I ran an online search on her name and came across her website; thank you for sharing.
I've owned NVIDIA for over 8 years. It's been up and down, but I believe in Jensen Huang and will stick with NVDA until Jensen says otherwise. I know that sounds crazy, but when the financial statements/Jensen, (same to me) tell me to sell, I will. I'm sure I won't sell at the top, but that's OK.
Kept $105k in CIT Bank HYSA at 5.05% but i now plan to invest in the stock market. What are your thoughts on that? What stocks should I look out for as a newbie to safely grow my money?
Apt!! I was self-managing my portfolio but suffered heavy losses in 2022 and i knew i couldn't continue like that, so i consulted a fiduciary advisor. By restructuring and diversifying my $1.2M portfolio with dividend-paying stocks, ETFs, Mutual funds and REITs, I significantly boosted my portfolio, achieving an annualized gain of 28%.
I regret selling stocks 2021 and my strategy ever since has been pretty much buying Gold and silver to protect my wealth but if I could come up with a way to profit from this bull run, that would be brilliant. I've missed so much already. can you share more info?
I don't comfortably throw recommendations around on the internet, but I've been working with ‘“Jessica Lee Horst” God! she's brilliant! I'm sure there are others who are good.
Thanks for sharing. I curiously searched for her full name and her website popped up after scrolling a bit. I looked through her credentials and did my due diligence before contacting her. Once again many thanks.
Every crash/collapse brings with it an equivalent market chance if you are early informed and equipped, I've seen folks amass up to $1m amid economy crisis, and even pull it off easily in favorable conditions. Unequivocally, the collapse is getting somebody somewhere rich.
I do not disagree, there are strategies that could be put in place for solid gains regardless of economy or market condition, but such execution are usually carried out by investment experts with experience since the 08' crash
The issue is people have the "I want to do it myself mentality" but not equipped enough for a crash, hence get burnt. Ideally, advisors are reps for investing jobs, and at first-hand encounter, my portfolio has yielded over 300% since 2020 just after the pandemic to date.
i'm blown away! mind sharing more info please? i am a young adult living in Miami where i've encountered several millionaires, and my goal is to become one as well

I'm new to cryptocurrency and i don't understand how it really works. How can someone know the right approach to investing and making good profit from cryptocurrency investments?
what do i need to do? How can i invest, on which platform? If you know any please share.
I started working with wilburn back in February, and my financial goals have been clearer. It's like having a strategic partner for my money with a solid track record.
Most people think, investing in crypto is all about buying coins and leaving it to rise, come on it takes much analysis to be a successful crypto trader.
I've seen different people talking about this Christen wilburn she must be very amazing for people to talk this good about her.
The main focus for markets now is Nvidia, which has powered a large chunk of the S&P 500’s recent earnings. Nvidia’s stock, up more than 100% this year, rose 2.5% in New York on Monday, sending the Nasdaq 100 index to another record high. I'm still looking for companies to make additions to my $350K portfolio, to boost performance. Here for ideas...
I think the next big thing will be A.I. For enduring growth akin to META, it's vital to avoid impulsive decisions driven by short-term fluctuations. Prioritize patience and a long-term perspective most importantly consider financial advisory for informed buying and selling decisions.

Thanks a lot for this suggestion. I needed this myself, I looked her up, and I have sent her an email. I hope she gets back to me soon.
Some experts say Plantir is the next Nvidia. I intend buying $200K worth of it soon. I’m well positioned with good blue chip companies and A.I stocks but concern is how to hedge against crash.
market crash is inevitable, but there are actually strategies to mitigate risk and profit consistently, tho such executions are usually carried out by investment experts
Agreed, people often underestimate the role of financial advisors. Over 50 years of data reveal that those who work with advisors typically earn more than those who do it alone. I've been fortunate to work with one for 5 years now, resulting in a million portfolio.
@@mette-lo i'm blown away! mind sharing more info please? i am a young adult living in Miami where i've encountered several millionaires, and my goal is to become one as well
Can't divulge much, I delegate my excesses to someone of great expertise ''Katherine Nance Dietz'' preferably, you can look up the name on the web, her qualifications speak for itself.
excellent share, curiously inputted Katherine Nance Ditz on the internet, spotted her consulting page ranked top and was able to schedule a call session. Ive seen commentaries about advisors but not one looks this phenomenal
I’d say it’s luck she picked nvidia or maybe she put 10 grand on many other stocks too in 2011. no one can really predict what will happen in like ten years but I like the long term investment strategy.
I bought it in 2000 and held it all the way through until today.
LUCK was on her side, give me some woman !!! 🙌🙌🙌
This woman is my new hero
Mom is a legend!!!
Great video, The first $100,000 invested was amazing. But when you hit $300,000 it’s like smashing the glass ceiling! I cried.
I completely agree with you! My first 100k took a long time and wasn't that special to be honest with you. Once I hit 300K that is the game changer in my opinion. At this point my money is basically making me a pretty good yearly salary. When I go to sleep at night I know my money is making decent money with the help of my FA
Nice. People often underestimate financial advisors' importance. Over 50 years of data reveal that those who work with advisors typically earn more than those who go it alone. I've been fortunate to work with one for 13 years, resulting in a $1 million portfolio, largely from early investments in AI and other growth stocks.
I've been considering but haven't been proactive. Can you recommend your advisor? Could really use some assistance.
"Nicole Anastasia Plumlee" is the licensed advisor I use. Just research the name. You’d find necessary details to work with to set up an appointment.
I looked up her name online and found her page. I emailed and made an appointment to talk with her. Thanks for the tip
WORD OF MOUTH. I TOOK THE PLUNGE WHEN I WAS BUILDING A DESKTOP, AND FOUND ONE OF THEIR GPUs ACTUALLY IS SELLING FOR DOUBLE THE LIST PRICE... IF THEIR PRODUCT HAS SUCH DEMAND, THEN THEY HAVE A SUCCESS STORY WITH THEM. THIS WORKED EARLIER ALSO, WHEN MY DOG WAS SICK, AND TO BUY A PARTICULAR MEDICINE, I HAD TO SEARCH ALL OVER THE CITY PLUS CITIES NEARBY, AND FINALLY HAD TO GET IT FROM CANADA...TOTALLY UNKNOWN MANUFACTURER, STRONG STORY, AND THAT STOCK GAVE ME 10 X RETURNS IN LESS THAN 30 MONTHS
lol. if she bought 10k of Nvdia in 2011 she's not a retail investor but a multi millionaire, really.
The point is she got rich through retail investing, by identifying a winner and holding it.
I’m convinced that investing as little as 50k-150k in the right company before it goes big is more important than buying the dip, however picking the right company lies the difficult task. My question is, what are the best opportunities to accrue profits now, amid market crash?
for me, investors should start with S&P 500/ETFs for a solid foundation, then diversify across asset classes and maintain disciplined, regular investing to minimize risks and maximize growth
The issue is people have the "I will do it myself mentality" but not equipped for a crash, hence get burnt. Ideally, advisors are reps for investing, and at first-hand encounter, my portfolio has yielded over 300% since covid-outbreak to date, summing up nearly $1m.
I'm intrigued by this. I've searched for financial advisors online but it's kind of hard to get in touch with one. Okay if I ask you for a recommendation?

What’s the next NVDA?!
It's gonna big jump up tonight, no brainer.
Awesome!
That’s good 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
The richest Nvidia investor is Jensen and he's always holding major majorities of shares. The real losers are sellers scared out of their positions only to come back and find Nvidia much higher.

Every week I buy more of whatever is the lowest percentage of my portfolio and try to keep everything around 10%. Please what could be my safest buys with $400k to outperform the market in 2024?
I'd avoid the index funds, mutual funds, or specific stocks for the time being. The 5% fixed incomes are the safest bet for now. Save your cash for when the market actually shows sign of recovery.
This is why I entrusted a fiduciary with my investmnt decisions. Many underestimate advisors until emotions lead to losses. My advisor crafted a tailored strategy aligning with my long-term goals, guiding entry and exit points for the equities I focus on. This has grown my portfolio to over $850k. My personal best so far

I feel investors should be focusing on under-the-radar stocks, and considering the current rollercoaster nature of the stock market, Because 35% of my $270k portfolio comprises of plummeting stocks which were once revered and i don't know where to go here out of devastation.

It was stupid of me to sell $76,000 worth of NVDA stocks without reinvesting. (Buying bonds or CDs is not for me). I’d rather stay 100% cash, or are there any other investments that can outdo the growth of Nvidia? I have 200k ready to be reinvested
Not offering any particular advice, but I can assure you that most stocks still have growth potential. Re-distributing is not as hard as many people think it is. Ordinary investors lack the requisite level of diligence, so having a financial advisor on board is usually highly beneficial. In the market, this is how people generate enormous profits.

Investing without proper guidance can lead to mistakes and losses. I've learned this from my own experience. If you're new to investing or don't have much time, it's best to get advice from an expert.
Many people minimise the importance of counsel until their own feelings become overwhelming. A few summers ago, following a protracted divorce, I needed a significant push to keep my firm solvent. I looked for licenced advisors and found someone with the highest qualifications. She has contributed to my reserve increasing from $275k to $850k despite inflation.

Amazing video, A friend of mine referred me to a financial adviser sometime ago and we got to talking about investment and money. I started investing with $150k and in the first 2 months, my portfolio was reading $274,800. Crazy right!, I decided to reinvest my profit and get more interesting. For over a year we have been working together making consistent profit just bought my second home 2 weeks ago and care for my family.
Hi. I’ve been forced to find additional sources of income as I got retrenched. I barely have time to continue trading and watch my investments since I had my second child. Do you think I should take a break for a while from the market and focus on other things or return whenever I have free time or is it a continuous process? Thanks

No brainer. Semiconductor and AI stocks will dominate 2024. Why I prefer NVIDIA is that they are better placed to maintain long term growth potential, and provide a platform for other AI companies. I have made more than 200% ROI from NVIDIA with the assistance of my fa, I won’t fail to mention. I agree the stock would go higher in the next couple of days.
I bought NVIDIA around September last year because my financial-planner recommended it to me…said the company is selling shovels in a gold rush. It accounted for almost 80% of my market return this year.
That's a great analogy and I love the insight. Professionals could make a really big difference in investing, and I think everyone should have one. There are aspects of market trend that is difficult for the untrained eyes to see. I have made more than 350% through semiconductor stocks under coach by alternative investing. The portfolio comes with perks as well in terms of travel and liquidity.
One of my goals is to employ the service of a coach this year. I've seen some off LinkedIn but wasn't able to get a response. Could you recommend who it is you work with?
